Pros +
- If you’re catching a ferry the next day, the location is ideal, making it very convenient to explore the surrounding area. The reception is not that friendly, but we did not mind and the place has a nice atmosphere
- Clean accessible to where o wanted to be
- The location is by the sea, and there is a lot of parking available.
Cons -
- The room was quite cold, and the shower wasn’t very clean, so some basic maintenance and warmth improvements would make the stay much more comfortable.
- The air conditioning wasn’t great at all
- We got a room with no electricity, rooms are in bad maintenance state, toilets don't work well

The view at dinner time was fantastic, but the staff was crabby about me wanting to sit out ther to have a drink at 6:30 when I was told the bard had opened.
1. A dog peed on the stair rails by the breakfast, and the lady didn't clean it up.2. There was mold in the shower3. the shower sprayer did not work4. 3 of the 4 lights above the bathroom mirror did not work.5. The beds were very uncomfortable6. The location sucked... too far from city center7. The beach/pool area was dirty, old, run-down and the outside shower was old rusty, and unkept.
Location, silence and big area
Poor wify and window doors became old, doesn't attached properly
Location was good, breakfast was decent, staff was accommodating, pet is welcome and parking was easy.
Dinner at the restaurant was average and expensive. Hotel was once very charming but neglected now. Can use a kettle, some glasses, cups and utensils.
Excellent viewsWe were "upgraded" to the hotel next door, as we arrived out of season and not many people were staying at the hotel Clean and comfortable
The lack of seating for the balcony The whole place was also really tired and run down, due a refurbishment ten years agoThe restaurant was closed for our stay, (new year's eve)The breakfast was also pretty terrible, and the coffee was probably the worst I've had in Italy
The location and the property in itself are fantastic.
It all needs urgent care and work. Sadly, such a nice property in such a good location became tired and worn out due to an obvious lack of maintenance throughout the years. It's somewhat sad to see.
The breakfast was average, and the location was a little too far from the port for me.
The covers for the bed was filthy. We had to change rooms and the toilet in that room was broken. It was a big inconvenience to say the least.
Close to the cruise ships. They have a shuttle service that picked us up at a reasonable rate.
Nothing It should not be on booking.com
Had to check in at a different hotel. Once we found the room in a smelly mouldy building, the first impression was that it was okay, then we saw what we had let ourselves in for. The room was old dilapidated and the bathroom was smelly. There was a safe in the room, which we were told we couldn’t use. Then I dropped some coins and when I went to retrieve them under the bed, there was a used condom. If my wife had found it, I don’t know what would have happened. That was the final straw. I tried to contact the property management, but there is no way you can do that. I trekked back to the other hotel and was given a room in that building. Clean but once again very dilapidated. You have to pay 10 Euros per day to use the pool and you have to buy a swimming cap, which they say is compulsory. I am bald, I have more hair on my chest than on my head. The bathroom is mouldy and the shower screen leaks. Each day we put towels on the floor to soak up the water. The shower was broken, in that you could only use the handheld attachment. The basin plug didn’t work. The patio doors were falling apart, a safety issue. Once again the safe didn’t work. The gentleman on the desk that changed our room was very helpful, the rest couldn’t be interested. We had to get away from the hotel, so we booked a night in another hotel to be able to relax and feel better. The lady that cleans the room does a fantastic job, but I feel sorry for her. We asked for a taxi at reception to go to the station. It is 2 kilometres and he charged us 20 Euros. Robbery Breakfast was good and the lady waiting on at breakfast was helpful.
reception in a different building and we had to walk quite a long way to get to the restauarant and with my 88year old was not ideal. The lady on reception ws the best thing and very helpful and even gave my mum a lift with her case the first day.the restaurant was not great and over priced for the food and you had to pay ro use the outside pool.
the hotel and food
There was nothing we liked about the property.
The balcony door windows would not lock nor the shutters and the smell of mildew was strong. It was nothing like the photo on booking.com.
The staff was very friendly and breakfast tasty with a great view to the sea and harbour.
Many things were broken in the room, we couldn’t lock the door from the inside. The double bed was uncomfortable - just two beds pushed together with no connecting mattress. The walls were super thin and could hear anything from outside, the corridor, rooms next door and upstairs. Had to pay for the pool also - 10eur/person.
Basic, simple, quirky,. Excellent, big saltwater pool for swimming
Book in main residence Mercure or walk 5mins to restaurant area. 3* so noisy, take earplugs and swimcap
No reception, no food or drink on site, miles from Port,Old rundown buildings, very scary for a woman on her own and afraid to use air conditioning as of all looked so unkempt
Staff in mercure extremely helpful and kind
The staff in the adjoining hotel (Mercure) were very nice. They made it clear that they ONLY handle the check in/out for Hotel Baia Del Sole, it is not there property.
It is NOTHING like the photos. No pool. VERY run down. My son got bites and Bed bugs can actually be seen
The views from the balcony were amazing !! The rooms were charming. The small restaurant on site is a hidden GEM. Absolutely amazing food and service !!!
The opportunity to get a room even after check-in office was closed.
Wasn't easy to find from where the taxi left us. We had to ask someone.
friendly staff , helpfull
breakfast was awful burnt croissants , selection missing , empty platers no refilling
