- Facilities were old and had a musty smell. The hotel was far from the city center, no restaurants, shops, or other commercial facilities nearby. I had to walk 40 mins to get dinner. Staff was lack of enthusiasm to serve guests
- Wish it could have been a little bit closer to the main square, but it was OK and the price was reasonable.

The area is a bit run down but never felt unsafe
It’s is nearby to the main touristic and shopping center, good breakfast, clean
Good service and staff helpful
Nice staff bathroom
Too expensive considering and compared with other hotels in nearby
It’s actually even the worst hotel I ever stay at not much. Probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.Having said that, the bed was actually comfortable.
The neighborhood was very old and dirty looking. If you’re looking to stay with $100 budget then perhaps this would be OK. Nevertheless, the pictures were somewhat deceiving.
The surrounding is very shady.
The doors were closed for guests checking in after hours. I arrived there at 9:15 PM and the main door was closed. If it weren’t for some other guests going in with their keys, I would not be able to get inside.
The rooms were very big and spacious. Also, the breakfast was yummy.
On the site, it says check-in from 12 am to 12 am. I arrived at 10 and was trying to check in but had to wait till three. They were nice and let me store my baggage there for the day.
Breakfast was more than Italian typical, we liked it very much. Staff is very pleasant and ready to help with everything. Location is near Central station and not faraway by foot from center of the city, maybe at first look doesn't seem safe zone, but actually it is and is very practical to reach transportation for all nearby excursions from there.
we didn't have any problem during the stay.
Large room with a comfortable bed. Walking distance from train station. Very good value for money.
Style and authenticity
The shower was horrible, unstable, covered In limestone
Location is good, walking distance to centerBreakfast is value for money
Room cleanless
The room had a balcony, which was nice. The location was remote so there wasn't a lot of noise during the night.
The staff didn't understand any english so communication was a bit complicated. We tried google translate aswell but that didn´t help much. We were only given one blanket for sleep, somehow we got another one, but after two nights, it was removed by the staff while we were out for the day. Although the blanket was removed it didn´t look like anything else was cleaned so that was quite strange. Only one of the power outlets in the room worked. The rest were not usable. There was also a very strong scent of laundry detergent all through out the hotel. The breakfast was quite underwhelming and not really worth the money.
Nice host and a very good breakfast!
The road between Catania centrale to the hotel is full of trash. It simply doesn’t feel safe.
The location is good because it is very close to the central bus and train stations but the area is dirty - the same like everywhere in Europe near train stations. The center is on 15 min walk.
1. The lady on the reception does not speak even basic English and the communication with her is difficult. 2. As a person who have travelled a lot around Europe, I expected more for that money. 3. Simple furniture. 4. The breakfast is very poor. 5. There is no Italian espresso coffee during the breakfast. There is only Nescafe machine. We are tourists, we go to Italy to feel the culture and try local food and drinks. For me it is disrespectful for the guest not to provide espresso coffee in Italian hotel. It something pretty simple - one coffee machine costs 100 euro. I had to buy espresso from the cafeteria near the bus station. Additionally, the container with water during the breakfast was empty and the staff put only one bottle of water for all guests.
Clean, nice folks, good breakfast & secure.
In an old & dirty neighborhood. Felt unsafe after dark. However, it was fine during the daytime. The streets had broken glass & garbage all over. Hard to walk around.
The room was big and spacious and the staff is really nice especially Marilena?
A bit the location but didn't bother that much
It was very bad experienceThe 2nd time I booked there & when you arrive the receptionist tell us that there is a problem with water in the bathroom .2 times the same story..He took you to a apartment..that it was no comfortable at all.Don't trust them again, very disappointed

We had a great stay at La Ville Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. Mario and Malena were exceptional hosts, and we felt at home. The location was very good - an easy walk to the city center and conveniently close to the bus terminal for exploring other parts of Sicily, as well close to the bus stop to/from the airport. Our room was quiet and clean, and we especially loved the high ceilings. Breakfast was adequate. We highly recommend Hotel La Ville, and hopefully, we will soon return!
While we appreciated the breakfast, it would be even more enjoyable with a wider variety of fresh options to reflect the incredible culinary tradition of Sicily.
Close to the bus station, only a 5 min walk. Nice staff and ready to help.
That the lift was not working.
