Pool was nice. Room a little cramped and restaurant fully booked when we arr8ved but we should have booked ahead! Fab views and a great place for adventuring that area of France:-)
Room a little cramped
Great place for stopover although we might return for a longer stay. Really nice for families and convenient with restaurant on site. Surroundings are beautiful and the grounds are also lovely with pool, lots of nice walks and outdoor table tennis. Restaurant has a play area for little ones, so it’s very relaxing.
We booked late and therefore had to split up in two smaller rooms. Would recommend asking for bigger rooms when travelling with little ones
The location is amazing It is very quietThe park and farm animals around the hotel are really niceThe bed is comfy
Breakfast is good but it is not worth 17€ per day!The setup of the upstairs room is a bit tightValu for money isnt great. It is a good hotel, but except for the location, it is too expensive for what it is
Spacious room comfortable bed lovely grounds and facilities
The walls could do with a coat of paint someone had spilt drinks down the wall behind the desk which had ran and the paintwork was tired and scuffed. (Room 8)
Wonderful location. Breakfast somewhat manic ! Nonetheless a great break
Breakfast quieter. Also not realising small restaurant we wished be had booked in advance a table
Peaceful and quiet setting.Good parking.Excellent breakfast with very fresh boiled eggs.
The bathroom of the room that I had booked was very tired, worn and dated. There was barely enough warm water to have a shower. The shower itself was feeble in pressure and totally inadequate for an enjoyable showering experience.I had ordered a full bottle of wine at dinner on the first evening as I had asked the waitress if the remaining half bottle could please be kept for me to have with dinner on the second evening of my stay. She confirmed that this was alright.I was therefore astonished and very annoyed to find that, when I arrived at the dining room for dinner on the second evening, I was told that I could not have dinner that evening. This was in spite of a large group of guests having dinner in the restaurant. So, I would like to ask why I was sold a full bottle of wine on the basis that the second half of it would be consumed at dinner on the second evening of my stay.By the time that I was told that I could not have dinner on that second evening it was nearly 8.15 pm it would have been too late to arrange to eat in another restaurant as there are none nearby. This experience ruined my stay at this otherwise enjoyable hotel.
excellent hotel. stayed twice for 1 night on return from Limousin. Unfortunately have not been able to eat dinner on either occasion. last year the restaurant was closed for a wedding and this year when i went to reserve it was full. Ate in St. Valery on both occasions which is fine as there are lots of restaurants .Breakfast was very good.
Not being able to have dinner there.
Location was amazing, felt like you were at a country club setting, restaurant and bar very nice and the grounds very well maintained, the pool is a great asset as you can't swim in the Somme Bay itself. Great walking track out the back to the town so no need to take the car each day which was beautiful and had everything you'd need, a really lovely family orientated place.Special thanks for the bar tender, he was always super smiley and our son who's 5 loved asking him for the pool table equipment like a big boy each evening.Make sure you know a small amount of French as English was not widely spoken, not a problem as it's so lovely to get away from the usual tourist spots but we did struggle in some places!
We had a triple room and it was small with no air conditioning which meant it got very warm in the upstairs bedroom, luckily we thought about this and took a fan but you can request them too so worth noting. Next time I would book a family room for the extra space as we didn't have any sort of lounge area or much storage but this did not spoil our stay and we will definitely return.
The weather was great. The grounds are lovely. The beach is nearby and staff very friendly.
The pool was unheated ( ‘we are trying to fix it’). It wasn’t fixed throughout our stay. The rooms are dark, covered in artex, small for a family with small windows. In the heat they were too hot without even a fan to help. ‘We do not provide fans or else everyone would want one’. Additionally, we were not able to dine at all throughout our stay and they have more rooms than they can cater for. No alternatives exist within walking distance! ‘Here is a list of places to call but you can’t dine here’
The kindness of the staff, the comfort of the rooms and the setting.
Beautiful location overlooking bay of the Somme
We booked two superior rooms. One had been renovated and one hadn’t. This room was damp , tired looking and a bit grubby, with a small window. With no shower/soap etc. Whereas the renovated room was lovely with French doors opening on to a garden.
Loved the location, 1/2 hr walk to town on the flat, great facilities, clean and comfortable, beautiful view from our room (507 I think??)
Upstairs rooms have sloping ceilings and and some beams so not ideal if you’re very tall or clumsy like me! Our room had a dormer window but most of the upstairs rooms only had velux windows. Downstairs rooms had terraces. Sadly the restaurant was fully booked with large parties both nights.
Nice location staff very helpful
The room we stayed in was a bit tired, but was very clean good for a one night stay
Loved the location, the surroundings, facilities and breakfast!
The room was a little small for 4 of us (3 adults and a teen) and would have liked some milk for tea/coffee.
Pleasant hotel, with a footpath walk into St Valery next to the Baie de Somme in a quiet location. Clean and comfortable modern room. The buffet breakfast was varied with local food.
We had not booked the restaurant and it was already full on our arrival.
Location great for stop over and lovely views over the water. Nice walks if you are staying longer. Breakfast is very good and the staff friendly and helpful.
The room was dark and dingy. It had a smell of damp in the shower room and it all felt more like a youth hostel room. If we'd paid half of what we did then it would have been more acceptable.
Good sport facilitates and quiet during the day so the pool was all ours.
The bar area was very small when we couldn’t sit out and wasn’t that welcoming. Food the breakfast was t worth the money and the evening meal is a fairly set menu and expensive.
