It would have been perfect if say 4 coffee capsules for the coffee machine were provided and some fresh milk and a larger selection of tea bags. Not everybody travels with these in their luggage and for a hotel of this quality this should not be overlooked.

A very comfortable Hotel with lovely staff. More a high class B&B than a hotel, as it didn't have a bar after the reception closed but our stay was out of season, but it suited us perfectly. Fantastic breakfast spread. Short walk to restaurant's, shops and seafront. We really enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great. My only concern is if there were a fire in the property, the top floor is accessed via a very narrow staircase, and there is no fire escape route from the top floor. This isn't a criticism of the Hotel, more so of the authorities, who should be addressing these issues. We have found similar situations in many Hotels in France.

Good position and good parking. We had one of the rooms/suites separate from the hotel and it was lovely, really spacious and well appointed

Lovely staff and great breakfast

I was not expecting the suite to be on two floors but that was probably me not reading closely enough. Just more convenient to have the bathroom on the same level as the bedroom.

Lovely decor, good private parking, close to restaurants, very helpful staff, room very comfortable, fresh ingredients for breakfast and good selection of products.

Nothing - everything was excellent but id the Hôtel management wanted to be even better it would have been lovely to find small packets of milk for the black tea or to put in coffee from the machine in the room.

A lovely location overlooking countryside and the bay

The room was sold as a suite with separate bedroom and living area. The room was a large bedroom with two chairs a table and a large bathroom. I questioned why the bathroom sink didn’t have a plug. They said it would upset the aesthetic appearance.

Beautifully restored and refurbished. High standard of care and attention to detail throughout. Excellent choice at breakfast, ample garden furniture tastefully set out on patio, staff fabulous.

Although we did not have a dog with us this time we plan to get one soon and they don’t accept dogs - at the moment anyway!!!

This hotel was in a good location with parking provided. It was an easy walk into the centre of St Valery. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious

We had a twin bedded room. Our beds were very narrow and not the most comfortable.

Excellent location, private car park, quality accommodation, friendly staff, great outdoor seating.

The staircase up to the bedroom is narrow and twisting; this should be mentioned in the desscription. In summer it should be possible to avoid canned fruit.

- The location (very close to the city center), you can easily park your car and visit by foot.- The whole property is very well decorated. - The suites are worth it and good value for money.

- During the summer, the rooms can be quite hot (no AC).- No restaurant (except for breakfast).

We had a suite - spacious, tastefully furnished, very clean, lovely staff. Lots of garden chairs available on terrace. Lovely environment

Only a couple of coffee pods in room. More were available in main building but a few more in room would have been nice. Also some milk too.

Main building and outdoor areas are very nice. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. A tasty and varied breakfast is served in the main building. The secure parking was appreciated.We stayed in a twin room (chambre baptiste) in the converted outbuildings. First impressions were favourable but it soon dawned that the set up was not very practical.

Looking now at earlier reviews I see a number of guests have already highlighted the problems, tight spiral staircase, small beds, no curtains at the downstairs windows. Whilst photographs show the stairs it is not made clear that the bedroom and bathroom are on different floors.In response to a similar comment in October 2023 the hotel mentioned they would resolve the curtain issue however in June 2024 we were not aware of any downstairs curtains.

Exceptional hotel & outstandingly friendly and helpful staff!Great for a solo cyclist!Recently and beautifully converted Manor House with some rooms in the out buildings. A great breakfast as well. It deserves a score of 11 out of 10!

It is a short walk up a hill from the town if that is a consideration but, when in Saint Valerie you really must stay here!

Ben on reception was very nice and helpful. The property was very clean and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was very nice .

The room was too hot - they supplied a fan which was a waste of time we both had a bad nights sleep as we were so hot. Breakfast wasn’t very good compared to other places we had stayed and the coffee was awful. Shame it has been beautifully refurbished and has history . I am sure they will sort things out. Lovely village.
