    Pros +

    • Lovely service , excellent food .Disappointed with spa services / lack of . No sauna , limited space Great organisation of a horse riding lesson
    • Beautiful hotel… every aspect has been thoughtfully designed, though some rooms are a little small
    • Very cosy and relaxing Beautiful grounds and friendly staff

    Cons -

    • How expensive everything was… even breakfast was expensive though it’s so remote there is no alternative
    • The bed felt a bit old —- like there were two slouchy holes in the mattress. I think that for the price, they can include the breakfast.
    • Poor signage made it difficult to find the entrance. We waited 2 hours in the lobby for our room to be ready even though we had shared our arrival time beforehand. Somewhat overpriced

Beautiful hotel in beautiful countryside. Fantastic staff. Great room in the chateau. Very clean. Good evening meal on the terrace and amazing breakfast.

The rooms were clean and spacious for what we needed and the outside of the rooms and walk to reception was beautiful. There were good sporting facilities and the staff were helpful and proactive.

We intended to use the spa but after offering us times for massages and treatments they then said they were full after we can only picked this accommodation for the spa facilities. We were very disappointed and dissatisfied with the staff in the spa to accommodate us. Also they charge a ridiculous amount to use the spa when you are already paying spa hotel prices.

Loved the restaurants, swimming pool, suites and the tennis court

The location, the nature all around, the castle, the small bungalow-rooms.

The spa treatments were not as good as expected. The experience didn't feel very "unique".There is no proper bar to have a drink.

The surroundings, the grasses, great pool area and walks for the dogs. Liked the bikes and kids had an amazing time on their bikes and hanging out with the horses in the barn and the other kids staying. Great food, great breakfasts!Rooms were good size and comfortable. They were dog friendly and accommodating.

Not really a complaint, but a recommendation - That you had to pay 42 euros to have a swim in the spa pool. Although I was there with young children, I found the outdoor pool very busy and noisy at times with all the little ones. An adult only option in the spa would be a huge plus without having to pay.

    Style, location and peaceful setting

Dinner menu offered very limited choice for someone who doesn’t eat red meat; only one fish option and it was the same for three days.

Pleasant surroundings.Good outdoor pool area.Staff lovely, and helpful

Misleading literature. Expected a chateau, but the reality is closer to Center Parcs.Rooms are very dark - style over substance.Very overpriced.

Situated in lovely countryside, plenty of wildlife, excellent restaurant.

Beautiful setting and comfortable room plus good attention to detail

Wine at the restaurant was a bit expensive

All the staff were excellent, efficient and welcoming. We were given coffee on arrival which was a nice touch. The room was excellent, good size, excellent comfortable bed, excellent toiletries provided. Our room had a lovely exterior sitting area. The hotel spa was obviously very good although we did not use it.It was nice to have a games room available with billiards, table football. The auberge restaurant provided an excellent breakfast and evening meal. The hotel is very ecological. Good to see the swan, ducks, goats and horses in the hotel grounds.

Signage to get to the hotel entrance is woeful. Any signs that do exist are on brown metal with very small writing. The coffee machine in the room was incomprehensible. The shower tray was a little slippy, with no handrail. The 2 easy chairs in the room were obviously part of a larger settee and not very comfortable. The settees in the lounge behind reception require a gymnastics degree to get in and out of. The layout of the hotel is difficult to grasp on arrival. The rooms were at a considerable distance from reception, parking, and the restaurants. We enjoyed lovely weather, I wouldn't have like to cope in the rain. The menu in the Auberge didn't change during our 3 nights, although there was a menu du jour. The menu of the Michelin starred restaurant was too avant garde for our taste. It would have been nice to have a map of the locality showing where were the nearest chateaux etc. (Maybe they have this at reception, I didn't ask).

    10DenisePosted on: 3-12-2024

the food was amazing , the room beautiful and the staff very helpful

we would have been better on a ground floor room as we had dogs with us

    10CatherinePosted on: 1-8-2024

Stunning grounds, gorgeous architecture and interiors, superb staff delivering top-notch service, excellent restaurant. relaxing vibe. This is a hotel unlike any other in France.

We have no complaints whatsoever. It was our favorite place to stay in France.

    8AlexanderPosted on: 10-3-2023

It’s a beautiful property with very nice feel. Rooms are comfortable, location good (if you have a car)

The service feels impersonal. With just 2 properties worldwide it already feels like a big chain. This is not a compliment. The bistro restaurant is a bit chaotic and way too busy and loud for this particular hotel level.

    8AlisonPosted on: 9-29-2023

Fabulous , peaceful place thoughtful and clever design and lovely touches such as picnic basket for room service breakfast on our terrace. Lovely walks around and outside the property.
