    Pros +

    • The breakfast was generous with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The pool and both steam and dry saunas were excellent and not crowded. The room was larger than expected, the hotel had parking, and the location was calm and close to the beach.
    • Good location. Nice spa facilities. Room was decent, not great. Restaurant had great lunch and dinner menu, breakfast mediocre at best. Staff very friendly.
    • The sauna features/showers and pool, the bed comfort and the room set up. Great amount of parking. Location was perfect.

    Cons -

    • The parking area was limited, so once you left, your previous spot might not be available. The beds were not very comfortable and moved easily, which made sleeping difficult.
    • We paid for a balcony deluxe room, and our entire balcony view was of solar panels. It was disappointing.
    • Hours of sauna, wish it was longer/later. Circulation in room due to the shower was lacking, created humidity, couldn’t open blinds to window due to lack of privacy/other room had direct sight to look in our room.

Fantastic location beautiful beach. We did upgrade to a room with a balcony but the 15 euros extra was well worth it.Indoor pool and sauna facilities were excellent.Would recommend.

After our second stay, the Donny has already turned into our come-back-to hotel. Its location is perfect, the private parking makes all the difference when you travel with the family, four-legged included. Pet friendliness is exceptional, which we find a critical point in making decisions about our next stay. (Pets are not allowed into the restaurant and wellness area though)Family rooms are light and spacious, ours equipped with two balconies, and with enough closets to avoid messiness during the stay.Facilities, including the pool, gym, spa, are ample, catering to different tastes and needs, and all clean and well-maintained. We have not had our dinners at the hotel (we prefer buzzing around), but the great breakfast hints at some good eating in the evenings as well. The bar and lounge/lobby area is spacious and cosy and we have enjoyed spending time there (you may want to check their raspberry mojito), both in the evenings and for our morning reading over a cup of tea.

Good pool and sauna. Close to the beach

Extra towels in the sauna. Better service in the restaurant at dinner time.

Friendly staff, clean, pool was great and breakfast was fantastic

Only small thing was that there was only single beds in the prestige room. It did show that on the booking so wasn’t a surprise but was hoping for a double / king for the price. Was comfortable though.

Great location in own grounds. Large comfortable room. Good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Very helpful and pleasant staff e.g. Maelle

    All was good

    8JohnPosted on: 10-9-2024

The star of our stay was Maelle. She checked us in, ran to help when we tripped and took our orders for dinner. Throughout she was friendly, helpful and professional. Thank you. We thought the hotel to be clean, comfortable and well appointed. We were a little concerned that breakfast did not start until 0800hrs as we had to drive to Dunquirke for our ferry, but service started before 0800hrs so we’re able to enjoy breakfast before we left. Our salad chèvre chaud at dinner was very good but our burgers were over cooked. Our bed was very comfortable. Parking was very convenient.

The menu, for us, was rather limited but, I imagine, suited the local tastes.

Adorable place and we just love it. When we take the Eurotunnel, its not far from Calais. Friendly service. Great gym. There is a running trail near the beach.Breakfast was nice but can be improved

Floor had no rugs. Double bed but had single blankets.Hotel has a smoking area?! Not cool. Smoking should be banned everywhere.

The Hotel is well located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious with access to a terrasse. The dinner was delightful and we had enough choice of foods for the breakfast.

Very comfortable beds, lovely bathroom, lovely balcony. Having a family room with 2 rooms was lovely.

    Nothing!

    9RalphPosted on: 7-5-2024

Great staff, good parking.I do get to try the food due to feeling unwell but my friend said it was great

    8GlynnPosted on: 5-31-2024

The hotel was great, especially the private spa (really good) and the staff were excellent.

Breakfast could have been a little more varied, as it was quite restricted for a 4 star hotel.

    10DrewPosted on: 5-31-2024

    Clean, helpful staff

    Expensive to charge electric vehicle

    7GligorPosted on: 5-8-2024

Sauna, room is clean and nice. City is beautiful and close to France for visiting.

Personal on reception. If you want to open bottle of wine you must go on reception, they dont want to give you tool to open in room..

    7ThomasPosted on: 4-7-2024

Swimming pool and wellness area was amazing.

Room was tired, floor tiles/carpet ripped. Room chair ready for the bin. Felt that room didn’t meet the standard of the rest of the hotel.
