- quite, not too many people. The street itself is not very nice, but in a few minutes you can reach the city center.

- The hotel was very convenient to the ferry. The room comfortable, shower small with great water pressure. The restaurant was really good. Exceptional meal.
Cons -
- Breakfast was OK, but not so many options. The coffee machine makes terrible cappuccino, I could not drink it.
- Neighborhood dirty up and down the street. Broken bottles, homeless, etc

I am an american and went to a language school in Reggio Calabria for a month. I wanted to stay in a hotel where I could have contact with the staff and public (instead of staying in an apartment by myself). The Hotel Continental exceeded my expectations. The rooms were very quiet, clean, and bright with good wifi. The hotel staff was professional, friendly and responded quickly to any request. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of selections. Dinner in their restaurant "Bocconissimo" was always delicious - from the sea bass to the pizza to the risotto with sausage to the warm calamari salad to the tiramisu to the limoncello and wine. The entire restaurant staff made me feel like a friend and I will miss them. I would stay there again. Instead of saying "Goodbye", we said: "Arrivaderci!"
The desk chair could have been more comfortable.
Did not book breakfast because of an early ferry to Messina. Location is perfect for the ferry and the archeology museum and dining nearby. Quiet at night.
Really liked the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were amazing. All the staff was amazing. They went above and beyond. Location was quiet close to ferry and train station.
Nice restaurant and full breakfast.
Very hard to locate due to road closure.
Close to everything.Easy to get to.Close to all ports. Great resterants.
All good.
It was just a one-night stop on our trip, and honestly, it turned out to be a great choice. The location is perfect—just outside the center, so it’s nice and quiet, but still an easy walk with some lovely views along the way. The room had everything we needed and was really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were super friendly, polite, and made us feel very welcome. There is also free parking out of the hotel which was a nice bonus on top of everything else.
Excellent hotel. Wonderful breakfasts. The view of the sea and Sicily is indescribable. A 10-minute walk to the center of the promenade, yet a quiet location without excessive traffic or noise.
The staff was friendly and nice
It was nice and clean and the room was beautiful
We would happily stay here again! The staff were helpful and charming. We got an upgrade to the penthouse the first night, which really WOWed us! Great views. Very clean. Robes, slippers and a gorgeous bathroom. Loved having the patio to enjoy the breezes!
All positive from here! Wish we had the penthouse the whole time, bit next time we'll know to reserve early! Thanks for making pur holiday lovely!
An excellent hotel by Reggio's port, about a 10-minute walk to the center of town and the city's archeological museum, home to the world-famous Riace Bronzes. Very nice staff, a varied breakfast, good dinner options in their restaurant, and the rooms with a view have incredible vistas over the Strait of Messina across to Sicily.
I stayed here once before and really enjoyed it. It has some flair and modern touches. Very good breakfast, though I wish they hadn’t played the industrial disco or whatever it was. Even at low volume, it wasn’t exactly breakfast music. The bed was comfortable. Shower was fine for a quick wash, but you won’t get a long soak before the temperature goes tepid. Maybe there was just a high demand when I was using it. Good price and great location for the Sicily ferry.
The staff were friendly; the rooms were well arranged; the breakfast was rather average; the dinner was good; the breakfast; the hotel was not noisy.
Hard to say, except that the facilities of the hotel did not quite seem to merit the star rating.
Great location with a short walk to town or a stroll along the water. Ferry close by too. The restaurant was amazing for dinner and the breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food. Staff helpful and kind. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels when we needed them. The tv wasn’t a smart tv so had to watch Netflix on my iPad at night. Room and bathroom was spacious. Great view of Sicily. Room #503. Highly recommend.
Mattress much firmer than what we are used to.
It’s extremely close to the ferry for Sicily, which is actually quite a walk from the train station. The shower was very fancy. The breakfast buffet was a very good value at €8. I slept very well. A very nice room overall.
I was told I’d been upgraded to a double, which meant a larger bed. It made the room quite small, though. Two people in that room would be constantly bumping into each other. The TV automatically came on each time I entered the room. Not a big deal, though.
Beautiful view from the penthouse. Excellent price/quality ratio in low season. Excellent breakfast. Good restaurant. Friendly staff. Very spacious bathroom.
Penthouse suite with unbeatable views. Good dinner at hotel restaurant and excellent buffet breakfast. Free on street parking.
Room and bathroom were very big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the location perfect.
Can't think of anything, apart from having to check out.
