    Pros +

    • We read a lot of mixed reviews and were going with an open mind. The hotel was set in a beautiful, quaint town. We had room 8, a junior suite and it exceeded our expectations. Plenty of room for us and our daughter and a stunning hot tub style bath in the bathroom. The beds were super comfy and everything very clean. The hotel itself is beautifully set up and we went to the restaurant for our evening meal and it was exceptional. Sarah, in the restaurant gave great wine recommendations and even our daughters meal was a well thought out, delicious meal - not a chicken nugget in sight! We would love to return.
    • Very nice location in an interesting region.
    • The position of the property is idyllic in a lovely valley but the property itself is very tired.

    Cons -

    • The room was slightly cold, but considering the minus temperatures outside and the size of the room, this was OK. Under the covers, it was fine. The restaurant was slightly expensive, but you do get what you pay for here, the food was exceptional.
    • I found the service in the restaurant very bad. They let you wait for the table, then you wait just to order your first drink. Then - again you have to wait for the menu cards so you can - after another wait - finally order the meal. Which of course takes more time. After the meal we where left sitting in front of the empty plates for more than 20 minutes while the waitresses passed empty handed several times. Unfortunately one experiences such service all over France. But, since the restaurant is far from cheap, we set the expectations much higher.
    • We were allocated a room with hardly any heating despite 4° outside and lukewarm water to have a shower. We complained and had to change rooms because we were at the end of the spur, so we were told; so why allocate us that room? A member of staff from the dining room helped us to move to a second room, where the heating was still poor and we needed two additional electric fan heaters and an oil filled radiator to heat both the room and a very small bathroom. The food (distinguished rating) was just about acceptable. We both had fillet steak which came served in a small dish so it was difficult to cut the meat and mashed potatoes on the side at a cost of 43€! The dessert was equally disappointing for 25€. Breakfast was served in an outside barn heated with an electric heater. When we came to pay, there was no apology from the female proprietor.

Nice cosy surroundings in old typical suttoundings.

Old principal building really need refurbishing. Newer building room 14 was all renewed, to the standing of the rate (but without breakfast). Electro for car not workorking.

Picked as a stop over on my way from UK to Barcelona. Wanted somewhere with secure parking and good food as car was fully loaded with our stuff. Sauna/pool was fine, but the winner was the dinner! Absolutely worth the little detour to my journey, so much so that I'll struggle to look for alternatives if I have to make the journey back.

    Not a lot

Fabulous hotel to stop over in. We travelled from London to Italy, but broke up the trip with 1 night at Logis relais de La source. Great clean rooms, comfortable beds and bedding. A cool pretty hotel, with lots of history.

Dinner was a expensive, but the food was fab so was fine. But was expensive. Some more choices for children would have been nice.

The room is gorgeous, the view is amazing, the staff is helpful and nice, the location is perfect.

The property was very attractive from the outside and my meal was good

The room was terrible it was a ground floor adapted room next to a store room which was very noisy in the morning. I booked a normal large double. The room was dark and if the curtains were open then we were visible to people on the terrace outside. The starter arrived after the main course. My partner’s steak was cold and returned and then overcooked. There was no rose wine by the bottle only by glass. A diner on the next table asked for bread and the waitress brought a roll out in her hand not on a plate. The table was not cleared when we asked for coffee and we had to clear it ourselves. The empty bottle and ice bucket were still there in the morning when we left at 10am.

Romantic and beautiful hotel with lovely decorated bedroom and great facilities. Outdoors as well as indoors. Situated in a small remote town that offers all the quiet time that you need. The staff is super friendly, quick to help and accommodating to wishing!

Friendly, helpful staff. comfortable room and very clean. We enjoyed a relaxed stay. Easy access to various villages in the region.

ambiance and friendly staff. food was excellent.

I stayed here because it is on the GR2 and the only accommodation available close to the Source of the Seine. The walk to the Source from the hotel is 12km, making a 24km day walk which was a really great walk.

The hotel is overpriced for what it offers. It's very expensive and although it looks pretty it is just a bed and a bathroom. It has no comfortable chair to sit in. Breakfast offered no more than any other hotel but was twice the price of other hotels. It advertised breakfast including bacon, sausages and crepes. There were none offered. The staff were unable to answer my questions about the local environment. The bathroom had a basin with a plug that didn't work and when I showered I had to be very careful or water leaked over the floor.

    location. size of room. facilities.

    9AndyPosted on: 3-12-2023

The food was excellent as was the location. Waiter (Sebastian I think his name was) was very entertaining and engaging.

The spa was nice and clean but required an outside shower. Also a enclosure to the pool would have meant that could be heated and used.

    10PaulPosted on: 1-20-2023

A friendly hotel with above adequate accommodation. location and free parking all good. pleasant reception and staff, while Sebastian ran the hotel and restaurant in the evening. what a guy. Couldn’t have been more helpful. Explaining dishes and generally chatty. The standard of food was above exceptional. Michelin Standard at ordinary prices. Floods of different tastes from each course. Ended up as five courses with hand made chops with the coffee. 48 euros. drinks extra. would definitely stay again, preferably in summer time to make use of the pool

    can’t recall anything negative.

    - good breakfast - nice dining area- good menu available when restaurant is closed- Dijon less than 30 mins away

    - room was quite old- restaurant was closed several days, was not clear to us up front. There was an alternative, simpler, “snacking” menu available on those days. Menu was good but quite expensive- expensive drinks

    9JoannePosted on: 8-15-2022

the food was excellent and the beds very comfortable. The location is a bit out of the way, but very quite and nice.

The staff was a bit uptight when we arrived, and one of the rooms was not ready till later, but the excess to the spa to change and be able to use the swimming pool made up for it.

we stayed in a beautiful Gite. well equipped with everything you need. very clean and comfy

it was too hot. No fan or air conditioning.

Lovely hotel, quality food and staff. The lady who owns the hotel should be very proud of what they deliver .

Nothing that was important , car park a bit busy at times but didnt cause major impact.
