    Pros +

    • Staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was excellent as was the breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable.
    • The building is impressive upon arrival
    • Nice, big, clean room, lovely grounds

    Cons -

    • The decor is a bit dated.
    • The hotel carpets were filthy. The room hasn't seen an update in over a decade, maybe two. The clean sheets and towels that are being put into the rooms were left on the filthy carpet outside of the rooms.
    • Least friendly staff of all the places we stayed in Ireland. It was hot, no a/c, and the only bedding was a heavy duvet.

Charming old country house, quiet location, excellent restaurants on site.

Nice, friendly, helpful staff. Good housekeeping. Good breakfast. Proximity to park for hikes with dog.

Great stay, the food was great, they really worked with my husband’s food allergies, the food was delicious, nice to have a great restaurant in the hotel after a long day touring the countryside.

Strong cleaning odour in our guest room, the bed was way past its best before date! The owners need to invest in good mattresses, it’s essential for a good nights sleep. Sitting on the corner of the bed I felt the springs pushing through.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful. Our room was clean. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Room was private and comfortable. Restaurant on site was quite good. Park to run my dog was only 5k away.

Truck leaving/coming below my window at 4 am first night was a surprise, because room faced away from parking. Every other night was fine.

Dog friendly. Good food. Nice staff

Stale smoke smell, musty smell, dirty carpets

    7PabloPosted on: 5-31-2025

Big rooms, big beds, nice rooms.

The price and the place needs to have some activities on site.

Tjhe best part of my stay here was the very helpfuk staff who drove me to a nearby park as well ad adriving me to the train station, in city of Mallow, which does not have good taxi servi ces.

The location was nit conducive to good public transport or taxi service.

Location is beautiful on it s own grounds as previously was an old private house. Has bags of charm. Very much a hidden gem. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic & staff were so welcoming. A real home from home.

    A little bit expensive

The rooms are very comfortable and the food was excellent. The staff were very friendly and it has an old-fashioned family run business to it. i was travelling for work and have stayed there before and will stay again.

There is nothing i can pick out. no complaints

I had dinner and it was very good, didn't have breakfast. Staff at the hotel were very good from first getting there and checking in and to the staff in restaurant/Bar and checking out the next morning.

Bathroom in the bedroom could do with a makeover.

Beautiful country house hotel close to Mallow town. Check in was so friendly and efficient and all the hotel staff from the moment we arrived until our departure were amazing. We were delighted that it was dog friendly and our little Yorkshire terrier loved the place and all the attention she got from the lovely staff. It was an extremely good value stay in such a gorgeous house and grounds.Food is amazing, menu isn't huge but more than enough and caters for every taste and our coliec family member was delighted with the gluten free options available. I can't ever remember a better cooked breakfast in any country. The full Irish freshly cooked breakfast was cooked to perfection and my partner's scrambled eggs with salmon went down very well.We asked for an accessible friendly room and we were delighted that our good sized bathroom had a walk in shower with chair etc.Room was properly cleaned with really comfortable beds, tea/ coffee making facilities, iron etc.Superb value accomodation in beautiful countryside location.Highly recommended!

Great staff, great food and very nice room.

    8Gerard2307Posted on: 5-6-2025

The hotel is charming, in a lovely setting. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and it was nice and quiet.Breakfast was freshly cooked rather than a buffet which was nice The staff were friendly and helpful..

A very small thing , the service was lovely in a nice casual way, but maybe not always as 100% professional as it could be..

    7MichaelPosted on: 5-5-2025

Great food in bar and lovely old feeling from the country house. Nice experience. Rooms were nice, bed comfy, good shower.

Hotel / bedrooms could do with an upgrade, dirty and dusty in places Tap was dripping in my bathroom which was annoying

    10AdelePosted on: 4-29-2025

Staff were amazing. They couldn't do enough for you. Food was fantastic, with a great variety. They cater for everyone. Beds were super comfy with the rooms prestine.

    9RitaPosted on: 4-28-2025

Staff were friendly, welcoming, professional and clean. Very impressive

Portion sizes are too big. You coukd save alot of money by streamlining serving size. Also, it would be great if the grounds had some nice walks.
