Hotel Résidence Le Sporting

We had a short trip from Bordeaux to Cap Ferret. Somewhat out of season. Hotel Sporting was available and there were very few guests. Location quite nice, near a port for small boats. Breakfast OK.

Tried to find some hot water late at night but no-one around. Not to be expected under the circumstances.

The receptionist was very helpful. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Cycle parking was undercover and within the Hotel grounds.

The hotel was 'tired' and expensive for the condition it was in.

Room super well equipped, so should have made more use of it.

After paying almost 500 for 2 nights, I expect at least breakfast. No shower holder in the bathroom and unhelpful staff considering there is no taxi service in the area. So we had to hitchhike.

The hotel got their daughter to drop us to the village as there were no taxis and allowed up to play tennis no extra charge and we’re extremely helpful and kind.. When in this are you need to have a car or hire a bike (electric would be my preference) it’s the only way to see the area which is stunning !!! as there is very few taxi and as a result they are very expensive

nothing to be unhappy with at all the hotel is a bit dated but you can see the rooms are very spacious and they are doing lots of work to upgrade the hotel

Double room with french doors out onto a small patio. Travelling off peak, late in the season so it was easy to find parking outside. Breakfast was fresh baked goods and plenty of coffee. We stayed just one night but would come back again for the location. Comfortable bed.

Dated bathroom, bath without a shower curtain so the water went everywhere!

Beautiful property, the room is basic and a bit small but the view and spirit of the place was shining. Very peaceful, very clean. I liked being a little further from the busy end of the peninsula. The staff were helpful and laid back. I wish I had stayed longer.

The room was a bit small with no decorations but It was very clean and comfortable and had a very helpful hanging and shelving area where I could unpack and settle in.

Comfortable apartment, nice swimming pool.

Appears quite dated. Tennis courts not available due to classes being held all day. Need transport to get to town.

Excellent quality of products but quite frugal (only one piece of pastry, bread marmelade and butter - that's it)

A small buffet for breakfast (including e.g. milk & cereals)

room was somewhat small and location was slightly out of town - we rented bikes which were super useful to get around. if you wanted any larger rooms or better location you would have to pay more so this is not really a negative

very warm family owned hotel/self catering. very rare to have tennis courts in Cap Ferret. comes with an excellent tennis coach!

We loved our stay in this hotel! The receptionist Valerie was incredibly kind towards us and really made our stay so much better! She was a legend. The breakfast was also very fresh and well worth the money. We were sad to go and even more sad to say goodbye to Valerie. Would definitely recommend this beautiful area and hotel.
