- Had good entrainment for the kids.Food the burger place was unreal and great service on our last night 29th of April at half eight. Easy access to all activities, playgrounds, and that.
- Staff were friendly and extremely helpful
- The staff for one were exceptional . Every staff member we met were very attentive and acknowledging of the kids especially the guy who showed us to breakfast each morning and the guy who worked in the cinema There is an endless amount of activities you wouldn’t even have to leave the hotel And the food for breakfast and dinner was gorgeous
Cons -
- When trying to get into the rooms, the card wouldn't work the first time. I had to take a good few attempts before it opened, and we had kids that needed naps and were getting very impatient.
- The furniture in the room was broken, the mattress protector was too small for the bed
- No all was great

No all was great
Its brilliant for kids. So much for them to do.
A couple of small, easily fixed type of things. Pillows were awful.. very hard... impossible to get comfortable. No toiletries in the room which I just think is a nice touch in every hotel. The food was absolutely beautiful but the deserts were served in a small glass tumbler. I think it just made it seem really cheap looking... In the room I was in, when having a shower, the water wasn't draining out of the bath properly so I was standing with the water above my ankles. And the only other thing was the gaming room isn't open midweek which I think is bad because your paying almost as much for a midweek stay as you are a weekend. I just think all the facilities should be operational.Other than those things it was fantastic and we will definitely visit the hotel again.
Hotel was fab. staff were excellent. Room was spotless. Food was excellent too. . Would highly recommend this hotel.
There was nothing I didn't like. Loved it all.
Great decor, good facilities, efficient staff, v clean
Food poor, breakfast ok evening meal awful
Delicious food, fantastic amenities & lovely staff
Not applicable as I have no complaints
They are a family- friendly hotel. Staff are lovely with the children. As parents, we didnt have to worry about upsetting staff/ other guests if the kids were a bit loud.
limited room service menu esp for kids
Staff were very nice helpfull Great location Very updated hotel with beautiful views Food was lovely Room was very modern
Booked a superior executive room this was for a birthday surprise. I booked this room typically for comfort and the hot tub bath and just to have a nice relaxing few days away. The room was lovely spotless clean but there was a awful musky smell constant in the room even when the window was left open for a few hours the minute it was closed the smell was back in the room it was awful. Second of all the jets in the hot tub bath didn't work we rang down to reception to report it they sent someone up to look at it and we were told sorry it isn't working that was a big down fall. We rang back down to reception and said the hot tub isn't working the women came up and looked at it and told us it isn't working can we be moved to another room to be told no we have none available we will have maintenance look at it tommorow. I said tomorrow is no good we are checking out tommorow. I was told oh well sorry nothing we can do have a nice night. What a joke . Third of all there was a constant loud noise in the room couldn't make out where it was coming from but we think it was from the air con unit outside the window of the hotel so all in all we had an awful experience and we have stayed here a good few times so have friends of ours. When we were checking out this morning we complained to the manager all we got was we are sorry about this but the hot tubs do play up at times and we will look into the musky smell thanks for making us aware and we do hope it won't put u of coming back.
Great location. Short walk into the town centre. Staff were friendly and most helpful. Very good breakfast choice. The room was spacious. Bar food was very tasty with good service.
No bathrobes as mentioned on the booking. Toiletries were basic and limited. Stain on one pillow case so i just didn't use it. Bathroom could have done with a good spring clean. Jacuzzi bath looked dated (would have preferred a standard bath). It also took far too long to try and fill so i gave up. Hot chocolate sachet's would have been a nice touch. I had to slam the window's to try and close them. Bedside furniture was badly scuffed/damaged. However overall the hotel was good.
Friendly staff Clean Loads to do inside the hotel without leaving the property
Hotel was nice, location great
A bit of mould on the bathroom ceiling. Some staff rude.
Beautiful hotel, friendly, helpful and efficient staff. The room was spotless and very comfortable. A welcoming and friendly atmosphere from the time we arrived. Great facilities.
This hotel is one of it's kind. For a short mini break what this hotel has to offer is exceptional. The food in F.H.B is honestly fabulous.
I really don't like to be negative because it is an amazing hotel with so much to offer. But they could do with a few extra p.a worker it really does need to be cleaner. every skirten board had a layer of dust and surfaces were at times very dirty.
We go to the hotel every year for the last 6.7 years all my family and friends
The bathroom was not clean The smell of dirty nappies in the room. And blood on Pillow cases And we got a letter state We were smoking in the room which was not true.My partner has breed problems so he had to be at the window most of the day
This hotel is perfect for a short break with children. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is great and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back.
The children’s entertainment facilities could use a facelift, the play park is old and battered and needs upgraded as well as the soft play. Personally I feel animal farms should be a thing of the past and not really necessary. That being said my little boy had plenty to keep him occupied, we enjoyed the go carts, mini golf and the pool. If you guys removed the farm and created a really lovely park with zip lines, climbing frames and things suitable for young and older children this would be amazing. One other thing I noticed was that you have a beautiful feature pond in garden with fish which is a nice feature, however it’s full of plastic balls and bottles. I think some signage is needed to deter people from doing this and maybe keep it free of debris. My final observation was that your steam is not very steamy or hot, I’m not sure if this was just the time I visited or if it actually requires attention.
Breakfast was lovely ?
Dinner was nice in the bar except for my partners dinner. He ordered a roast beef dinner and the beef was so tough he couldn't even bite through it. It was like it was left sitting there all day under heat it became so dry and inedible. However the staff were lovely and very pleasant to deal with. We will be back again ?
Staff and food lovely
Damp smell all over the hotel. I think it was the carpets. Defo needed deep clean. Jacuzzi didn’t work no tv remote. Poor for the price
The mini golf. The playground. The food in the Farina Italian restaurant. The upgrade to a bigger room. The breakfast. Sitting on the balcony after breakfast with a cup of tea and relaxing.
Seeing the poor goat and sheep depressed and dirty in the back. Their heads were pressed against walls. The jets didnt work in our tub. The swimming pool is far too small ... we were constantly touching other people ..a boy rubbed my daughters leg and she got a bit upset about it. There is room to the back and side to extend out the pool. We love getting in a proper swim in a good pool.
Won’t waste my breath … by the way , get rid of the ants in your rooms!!!
Our family have used your hotel and your “sister hotel “ for the past 22+years , having had our Mom’s funeral service in the Ashdown on 2002.We had our youngest family members 60th party in April in the Ashdown and booked numerous rooms in your hotel and spent an absolute fortune with your company over there This current week we have had a family emergency and have had family coming from England for what has now been the death of another one of our family members and we had to book rooms again with you ..We booked 2 rooms for Wednesday and Thursday and were absolutely shocked by the extortionate prices you have charged us (€907.00 for 2 people for two nights)To be quite truthful I’m putting you on notice that I will never, ever use , refer one of your hotels to anyone in my lifetime Extortionate Profits before your own Local Community is an appalling service Yours truly Martin Whelan
