Pros +
- Very nice property outside of Orvieto, with nice facilities. There was unfortunately no breakfast offered when I visited. The staff was quite helpful.
- The location is perfect, just 15 min walk from the train station and the funicular station that takes to the city centre. It is located on a hill at the outskirts of a small forest where, in June, we could see hundreds of fireflies. The room was rustic and clean and the staff was very friendly.
- I loved the pool(even thought it was very cold). Very good breakfast. The staff made us our own coffees. The staff also helped us extend our stay which was very accommodating.
Cons -
- I could easily hear the noise from other guests in the hallway.
- The location was difficult to get there if you had to walk. The hill was tough and at night, walking through the tunnel was a bit scary.

This is a lovely family run and owned hotel. Everything from the room, to the breakfast, warm cornettas, the beautiful grounds, the kindness of the staff was wonderful.

Everything! Room was nice, clean, great shower. Host was very kind and friendly. Great breakfast, lots of parking, beautiful views. Perfect stop to refresh. Local activities and food were great as well. So you are aware, directions are accurate but the drive is gravel so it felt like a home pulling up. In my opinion, it was more than homey - just seemed wrong until we knocked on the door
Loved it all. Breakfast by the pool w view and excellent coffee made it amazing
Nice villa in a bit remote garden area, but not far from the train station and to the historic center of Orvieto was it nice 1,5 km walk up to the hill or you can use a cableway or bus from the train station. The owners didn’t speak much English, but they were very friendly and prepared for foreigners to let me know everything important. Breakfast included in the price was very good with many choices and lot of local sweet pastries, which I was happy to try. And sitting in a garden next to a swimming pool with view to the landscape was pleasant start of the day.Room was big and too much comfortable (for me), with view to the garden and well working central air condition, which didn’t make any noise, because the device was outside for whole house.
One of the cheapest accommodation which I found, but still too expensive for me, as I was alone in two beds room. There aren't olny couples in the world.
The owners - two brothers- and staff who ran the hotel were very communicative and friendly. They were easy to engage in conversation and shared the interesting history of the site. Breakfast was generous, tasty and fresh. There was a lovely pool, but the temperatures were too cool outside to use it, but it looked appealing. Villa Acquafredda was well-located for accessing the tram that took you up the hill into Orvieto proper. The tram stop was convenient both for the upper town (the historic part) and the lower town. There were good restaurant options near the hotel for a light evening meal.
Villa Acquafredda was well-run and easy to access. We cannot think of improvements.
We were so warmly welcomed and everything was perfect. I feel like staying at my Italian grandpa's holiday cabin that never existed. Breakfast was huge and delicious. Shame it was a bit cold for the pool, but it definitely is a wonderful one. Bravo!
Slept very well, surrounded by trees. Lovely staff
Some hair on the bathroom floor, hence the cleanness needs improving.
The villa is quite close to the town and up on a hill so it has good views and is far enough away to be quiet - no car or train noise. The property itself has a great swimming pool that gets wonderful morning sun and makes for a relaxing place to spend time.
Some of the bathrooms are a little older and showing signs of wear. Sticking toilet flushers and shower attachments etc. Nothing major.
Great location. Easy to find and close walk to the funicular. Pool was peaceful and relaxing. Great place to stay, there is also a fruit shop nearby.
The staff is really kind, welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a very familiar and homey vibe to it. The breakfast was nice, and the pool area is really lovely. Aircon worked well.
The place and facilities are out dated. The room we got wasn't particularly cosy. The furniture didn't really fit the room. The bathroom needs an update - the shower head was extremely lazy and the stationary hair dryer reminded me of a vacuumer from the 80's (would be a very quick fix to change). Im not sure the room had a view or not as there was a mosquito net (nice enough) and we couldn't remove the shutters.
Very nice Otel, nice little pool, helpfull team. Especially Maximiliano!
Workers were very nice and helped me with everything. Breakfast was good. Located near the station.
To get there you have to go a little while through a road with no lights. It didn't feel safe to get to the hotel without a car in the night.
Beautiful villa, peaceful location a bit outside of Orvieto. Very friendly service
Great value hotel. Very comfortable in convenient location. Breakfast was excellent and access to swimming pool a great bonus.
Although some of the facitilies are a little old-fashioned (bathrooms), the entire property is very well cared for, impeccably clean and very comfortable. The gentleman who checked me in was very kind as was another gentleman who was working later in the day. It's a very casual, homey environment. I had a beautiful view of the town from my window and I greatly enjoyed the pool as the days were very hot!
The woman who was working in the morning was not very warm or friendly at all. It is a little bit of a distance from the town if you are traveling without a car, but this was not really much of a problem for me.
GreatThe guys working there are very niceThe swimminf pool and the view are greatThe breakfast is very good
It’s really a hotel rather than a b&b. But it’s very nice and you get good quality for your money. Large parking lot, nice rooms with en suite bathroom, super friendly staff and very nice breakfast - un-Italian I daresay -. There’s a supermarket at 500m distance.
Some noise from main road and railroad nearby. But it’s bearable.
Very nice small hotel, quiet place, easy to find with pleasant staf, offering good breakfast.
