    Pros +

    • Facilities and staff very accommodating
    • I love the environment, the people were very friendly, the hotel staff were very friendly and supportive. So happy with the hotel room, I was so excited when I saw the sea view from my room. The food was great, I really enjoyed my stay.
    • It is home from home! Another brilliant stay at the Lodge. This time we had my Father In Law with us who has mobility issues and everyone accommodated us so willingly - especially Holly who was an absolute Star for our whole trip. We are so excited about the refurbishment that is coming up in Jan 2026 and we are exited about coming for our Easter 2026.

    Cons -

    • 11am check out is a little early when staying for a wedding.
    • It was a bit far from Donegal town centre.
    • We love everything!

We had such a fantastic experience.... absolutely top marks all round. The staff were lovely, food was top notch & such a lovely setting.... Just simply such an enjoyable escape.

Some guests had benefited from a meal voucher which we didn't.... I was disappointed at that.

It is set in a lovely location, and the food is lovely.

The hotel has just got tired, carpet worn on stairs, grout around bath dirty & mouldy and also they have done away with the thermal bath beside the pool.

Staff were amazing. Room was very spacious and clean.Pool, sauna, gym and spa were brilliant.Breakfast very good variety and taste. Buffet or can order from a menu. Very attentive to our 1 year olds baby needs.

Dinner was very average.Pillows were uncomfortable, would have expected higher quality, however rooms are being refurbished in January 2026 so let's hope the pillows get the upgrade but we'll definitely be back regardless.

Lovely reception staff-very helpful. Good breakfast, great location, pool, steam and sauna room, hot tub- all brilliant.Very comfortable and big bed.

Pool open till 20:00 on the weekendView from our room- room 216-rear car park and laundry building.Swimming caps-you cannot get into the pool without cap. On the plus side-you can buy it cheap from the hotel.

The room was big and spacious. Very clean and the most beautiful views. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.Staff were very pleasant and the service in the bar/restaurant was very good.

We got next to no sleep as there was a party or wedding on right below our room. Music was extremely loud until 2am. People then stood around outside talking loudly and making a lot of noise until after 4am

Any questions I emailed were promptly responded too. The staff in var where we had meal were so friendly and attentive the food was amazing. And the beds and room was very comfortable. And inky a 10.min walk to the beach that you can see from the hotel. In the.morning an Ilderton gentleman was going around and was so pleasant making time to speak to the quests all ordinal friends day hotel. Pool and facilities lovely. Would stay again.

Our room had a joining door obviously if you had a family to have a joining rooms. Luckily noone I the ither room otherwise might have been little uncomfortable. But I know for next time.

I did attend to wedding. Fir 4 star hotel, staff should not be chewing gum everywhere i was served. Service during the meal was average; food was lovely, silver service was very good. Reception staff was lovely.Swimming pool facilities are welcome treasures.

As a 4 star hotel, there should be chargers for electric vehicles.
