    Pros +

    • The people were wonderful, and welcoming. The property and room were exceptional. The area was peaceful and the grounds beautiful. We really liked Gino!
    • I liked that the property was outside the city. The walk up to the city was about 20 minutes. I’m 75 and it was fine. It would be difficult if you had mobility issues. The bus station is minutes away. The room was exceptionally clean. Thank you, Doria. Laura was a standout as a host. The breakfast was delicious. I stayed for over two weeks (went to Il Sasso Language School) and would happily stay again.
    • Great hotel, very unique and fun to stay at! The family that runs this hotel (which really has more of a bed and breakfast feel to it) is so lovely!! We were the only guests there and they put out the most incredible breakfast spread for just us and were so attentive. Additionally, the parking is right outside and nice to not have to drag our luggage around, especially in the large steep hills of Montepulciano.

    Cons -

    • Not a thing
    • Providing conditioner would be a nice touch.
    • Bathroom shower was fairly tight, but plenty of hot water.

The family owned small hotel is perfect for a few day stay In Montepulciano Italy. There could not be a nicer group of guests or a more comfortable family atmosphere. Definitely a 10.

Excellent staff, good breakfast, nice garden with quiet location and parking on site. Also a friendly cat named Gino.

Bathroom shower was fairly tight, but plenty of hot water.

I have lived, studied, and traveled extensively throughout Italy, and I can confidently recommend this stay in Montepulciano. The room was spotless and comfortable, the staff warm and helpful, and the breakfast outstanding with fresh pastries and made-to-order eggs. Secure gated parking was a bonus. Truly a flawless experience.

    I can't think of anything

Beautiful family run place. Rooms comfortable and very clean. We had a cold spell so got a little chilly but once heat was turned on it was good. Great breakfast. Parking inside the garden area and not too far from entrance to old town but it is an uphill walk. Better to take car to parking 1 and then walk into town. Laura was extremely pleasant and helpful.

First night with no heat but temperatures were way below average.

Very clean hotel in a convenient location with the best breakfast served daily. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would love to return someday.

The breakfast was the best we experienced during two weeks in Italy . The staff, especially Laura, were exceptionally helpful.

We loved absolutely everything about Il Rondo & highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Montepulciano. This was our favorite lodging option of all of the hotels in which we stayed over a 10-day Tuscany vacation. The proprietors are amazing!

It was a bit of a walk into the center of town, but we needed the exercise after eating so many carbs!

    10AshleyPosted on: 9-11-2025

It was very comfortable and clean. The staff was very welcoming, informative and kind. They made a wonderful breakfast in the morning. It was also walking distance from Montepulciano old town

    Nothing. It was all wonderful

Property was beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of choices. Owners were so nice and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!!

    We liked everything.

The location is perfect! 10 minutes walk from the historic center of picturesque Montepulciano. The hotel is beyond beautiful, designed with impeccable taste and quality amenities. Spotless and sparkling clean rooms with beautiful garden. The host was absolutely amazing, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and answered all our questions. The breakfast was great too. Would go there again definitely!

The only concern could be that check in is only from 3 to 6 pm but maybe that could be arranged if you message the host in advance. Shes really nice and will probably help.

It was the best place that I have stayed in Tuscany. Very peaceful environment, kind hospitality , family running business where you feel the closeness and feeling as you are at home. It was a remarkable place and will spend more days next year for sure. The garden was Gorgeous and the rooms were very clean. I can name it as second home who is looking for simplicity contains all the luxury. Highly recommend. Excellent place with a great performance vs price combination

    Everything was perfect

Rondò hotel is a family run charming small hotel in Montepulchiano. It has the appeal of an old times Italian villa and feels authentic and fine in every facet. It is quiet, with great beds and a fantastic, welcoming and nice team which goes out of their way to accommodate your needs. It has a wonderful garden to relax after a long day out. If you like cats, Gino the gato is a cherry on top. What ever this hotel grading is, we felt we are in a 5 stars hotel. Highly recommended place to stay.

    None. Perfect Italian hospitality.

A charming hotel to enjoy Tuscany, in the city of Montepulciano. It has few rooms in total, which makes the property charming. The room we stayed in was very cozy and rustic, typical of the region. Always very clean and with a family structure. With a very good breakfast, and the possibility of meeting new people from all over the world due to the style of the hotel. A garden with many flowers and plants, making it a very peaceful place. There is parking on the property.
