Great location at the entrance to town at the bottom of the hill. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Clean and spacious rooms. Nearby restaurants and shopping.

Check in was a little slow.

Albergo il Marzocco is in a fantastic spot and we had incredible views! we parked outside the city walls, walked in and checked in, and they directed us to the parking lot which is easy to get to. The location let us walk through Montepulciano easily.

Some confusion between check in and check out about how to best pay city tax? But was all sorted out fine!

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice historical building with lots of interesting decorations to discover if you are into such stuff. Convenient location close to parking areas (the hotel also has a private parking within old town which we could use free of charge) and highly rated wine cellars / restaurants. Very clean room, ours was with a small balcony and great view to the valley.

    8ArinPosted on: 9-25-2023

We really enjoyed staying in a historical building. The decoration of the room fits the building also so well. The staff was kind and friendly. The hotel has a dedicated parking place in the city. It is a bit far but otherwise you need to park outside the city walls which would be further away.

There is no elevator. It was not a big problem for us but one should decide accordingly.

The location was the best for exploring the town. Staff very friendly. Breakfast very good. Good classic interior, very homely feel to the property.

No lift! Thats all though, the rest was great.

A large airy comfortable room. Helpful staff. Interesting location

    A lift would have helped

    10MelaniePosted on: 9-15-2023

Very nice staff, delicious breakfast, perfect location, clean room, everything was great

Lots of stairs to get to the rooms so if you have a big luggage keep that in mind

    10CarriePosted on: 8-28-2023

Exceptional staff, a very warm welcome from the receptionist, who gave us recommendations on restaurants and places to see. Beautiful room and view from our balcony. Breakfast was very good and the waitress was very friendly and attentive.

    Nothing to fault

Perfect location and the staff were great. They even helped us with parking. Highly recommend.

    8GregoryPosted on: 8-24-2023

It's in a perfect location right at the lower part of town. Classic old hotel with big rooms, terraces, and good WiFi. Just about what we expected. Very nice breakfast with eggs cooked to order.

Nothing really. You can't check-in until 3 PM so we had a lot of time to kill on a 100-defree day. But that's the way it is so no big deal. I'd likely choose this again if we came back.

    10Haris_85Posted on: 8-23-2023

Excellent location and very interesting, charming building like a small manor. Very good breakfast as well.

A small fridge is necessary during the summer.

    10AaronPosted on: 8-22-2023

Every person we met who worked there was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had a Superior Room and the balcony that came with it had the best view! Cannot recommend it enough!
