Pros +
- Gorgeous. Even better than the pictures. Chic, yet approachable. Sasha who waited on us for breakfast was stellar and Max, in the bar was also stupendous. Both went above and beyond.
- Luxury and quiet hotel. Clean elegant. Great welcome, large beautiful rooms, nice spa and excellent staff.
- I want to start by saying that I’m extremely picky about where I stay, so you can understand that I really mean what I say. The pictures of this hotel do it no justice—it’s much better in person. The staff is very accommodating and friendly, and the rooms are a great size. The hotel is immaculately kept. We stayed in the autumn because I love traveling then, but I definitely plan on coming back in the summer when we can use the pool.
Cons -
- The only possible negative thing I can say is that it’s about a 20 minute drive to town.
- Everything was perfect!
- Before our last night in Tuscany in Precise Tale, we stayed 2 nights in a beautiful hotel in Chianti region. As we could directly compare our two stays, we can say Precise Tale left a bitter aftertaste to our week-long vacation.Dinner and Beverage were disappointing. Aperol Spritz's were not right. Having more cocktails than wines in a top facility in Montepulciano is not acceptable. Dinner was highly overpriced for average dishes. Precise Tale was objectively our worst performance/price for food and beverages. To be fair, continental breakfast was tasty and had wide variety.Although welcoming was top-notch, the staff at the restaurant, pool bar, valet somehow felt inexperienced. We realized during our stay that Precise Tale was part of a hotel chain. It all then made sense. It wasn't complete authentic Tuscan experience but an international hospitality. It felt like the chain bought fantastic property, over-charging on average looking dishes and cocktails.

The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms impeccable and very comfortable. The staff very attentive and a delicious breakfast. Very romantic stay!I didn’t want to leave!
Everything was perfect!
The facility is breathtaking. A noble family's summer palace turned into a high quality hotel, in a stunning landscape with a beautiful panorama of Montepulciano. The facility's original texture is well preserved and gave us what we're looking for.Customer relation at welcoming was exceptional. We were offered a welcome prosecco bottle in our room and a gift bag with nice biscottis and truffle olive oil.

It’s a beautiful hotel located right next to a vineyard. Locations are beautiful, many pools to choose from. Staff was very friendly and the service is up to a 5 star hotel. There was a courtesy Champagne bottle in our room and a hand written letter to welcome us. A free tote bag and an umbrella as gifts. At the check out they gave us a nice gift with a bottle of truffle oil. They really take care of the details.
Breakfast room felt small for all the people in there. There could be more options to choose from too like waffles and pastries. Restaurant is quite expensive.
The location is beautiful. The property is beautifully maintained.
The service was bad. I really wanted to love this property but the service felt like a bunch of teenagers left unattended and not a 5 star hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and it seemed like most people on stayed for one. Breakfast and dinner service was chaotic and very clear that all the staff were stressed to the point they were telling us about it at the table. The staff rarely approached us but instead stood around talking to each other until we had to wave them down. One day I did not a single staff member on the property from 12-2pm when I was by the pool and in the spa. The spa staff was on their cell phone talking loudly while walking around. There was a family that came into the spa with a small yelling child, the mom was on the phone in the hot tub. Everyone else left and the staff did nothing. If you are expecting five star service, I do not recommend coming here.
Everything about this resort was magical and exceptional service!! We were treated like royalty and given an upgraded suite which was such a wonderful surprise as we were there for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The restaurant, staff and grounds were fantastic. The room was the best we've ever experienced!!
Due to the fairly remote location it would be nice to have another restaurant on site or more variety of options for lunch/dinner.
One of the best stays in Italy. Absolutely beautiful hotel, friendly people, delicious breakfast and amazing facilities.
The spacious rooms, the bon fire at night & the variety of the breakfast options in the morning.
That there is only one restaurant that is the same for every meal
Perfectly location, beautifully designed hotel and rooms, beautiful grounds and views, up scale amenities.
Lunch offering and dinner at dinner servings were underwhelming and overpriced.
The property was beautiful, friendly staffs and they gave many complimentary services. The food in the restaurant was also good.
The jacuzzi water was not warm.
This was the best resort we have ever stayed at. The breathtaking views, exquisite cuisine and incredible staff made our stay as perfect as any could be. Flowers were blooming everywhere and there were many places to relax. Everyone working here made us feel special and their attention to customer service was amazing. We want to especially thank Vitoria and Malvina for helping us with all the logistics of our trip, they were pleasant, competent and very dedicated to making us feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Tale Poggia.
We liked everything.
The property is just absolutely gorgeous. The Tuscan countryside is unbeatable. The breakfast was the best also.
Although the staff were all very nice, but most of them lacked the refinement of true Italian friendliness. I think most of the staff were probably hired as temporary workers from other countries. The dinner could be better. Food quality was good, but the staff was definitely not up to other hotels/resorts typical Italian finesse.
Lovely hotel setting, staff and spa area
It was very difficult to relax in our studio apartment due to the constant sound of people pounding around in the upstairs room. The bar had nowhere to sit and looked like the space was used as a service area. We we're offered seating in the terrace area (after heavy rainfall), so the only other option offered was 2 seats in the corner of the breakfast room/restaurant.There was a couple of power cuts during our visit and we couldn't get Netflix working on our TV. Overall, a disappointing experience given the cost for the stay.
The room size is pretty big. We love the breakfast too.
The lights went off automatically after 10 minutes we entered the room. It’s annoying.
Amazing place in the middle of a vineyard. Very clean and very helpful staff. Super recommended!
Wonderful, new property at a great location in Tuscany. The main villa is very pretty and so is the surrounding areas. We did a walk into the country side every morning. The staff at the reception were very friendly and helpful.
I think there are still some teething problems. The sound isolation at the villa could be improved, we could hear children shouting at the breakfast hall early in the morning or sounds from the room above us.
It was amazing! Beautiful Tuscan escape! Loved the spa and the restaurant was amazing as well
We checked in late but wished we could use the outdoor pool but it was very very cold. But the indoor spa pool was great!
The building itself. the pool area. the dinning and outdoor area. immaculate rooms
it didn’t feel luxury. the check in wasn’t a great experience. the spa was disappointing. so not worth £500 +
