Palazzo Doglio

This is a beautiful place on a gorgeous square. The room was large and accommodating. Our own terrace was lovely. Front desk personnel were friendly and provided guidance to restaurants, etc.

The prices of the restaurants in the square were over the top, and we are used to NY prices. Also 1 snarky man who helped with luggage. I was told by front desk I should take a luggage cart up to my room at departure and then was scolded by this man. He was unpleasant.

Elegant, well located , 5 star property to explore Cagliari.

A la carte breakfast options could be more handsomely prepared , do not reflect the property category.

We really liked everything about this property!! It is beautiful and luxurious and a sensational value for the price. The free breakfast is incredible and the staff are wonderful! We loved interacting especially with the concierge Gianluca and also with Paolo at the front desk. Gianluca is a wealth of knowledge and really fun and helpful. The rooms are gorgeous and the bathtub is huge! Convenient location and the hotel is like a triangle around a wonderful vibrant courtyard with shops and restaurants. 10 out of 10!

Just to help with others looking at this property: We had a city view room which just looks at the building across a noisy street. The courtyard view has larger patios overlooking the area with the restaurants. This is not a dislike but rather to provide more information.

The staff lacks the standards that one would expect at a 5 star hotel.In our short stay of only one night we were (negatively) surprised by two situations:1) the waiter at the Coffee place next to the reception got our order twice but never served us... After 40 minutes waiting for 2 spressos and 1 sparkling water we decided to leave.2) the receptionist entered the sauna while I was there asking for me to pay for the spa (even though he had my room number) -- I found this extremely awkward and impolite. He left after I explained that I would prefer to pay for everything at the check out (as I was wet at the sauna when he came asking whether I would by card or money...)

It was a great stay. Room was super clean and trash was emptied very often. Room is quiet and size is good. Employees are super nice and helpful. There are restaurants inside the hotel area. We did not have a chance to try but it seems nice.

Beautiful property. Just enough of a hike from town center to work off the dinner and gelato. Staff was great. Great breakfast, a lot of dining options on property and close by.

For a 5 star hotel there could have been a bit more attention to cleanliness of floor and shower.

This location is beautiful. The breakfast buffet is vast & delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly. We arrived early morning as we were leaving an AirBnb with roaches. We were exhausted & frazzled but the staff took our things to our room & brought us to breakfast. Changed the entire trip!! We are so thankful for Palazzo Doglio!!!

Room is specious, comfy bed, large bathroom and nice interior. Hotel is beautiful and restaurants inside it serve delicious food especially pizzeria "Mairoi". The staff was friendly especially the consierge.

We reserved a deluxe family room that should come with the additional sofa and should be larger in size but we got a regular one that in general costs less.

This hotel is absolutely not deserving of its five-star rating. The service was mediocre at best. For over an hour, we heard a maid cleaning nearby rooms while audibly complaining the entire time, huffing and puffing with each trip in and out.There is zero soundproofing between rooms. A thin sliding door separates neighboring rooms, and you can hear everything, even normal conversation sounds like it’s coming from inside your own room. At one point, our neighbor banged on the shared door in the middle of the night, telling us to be quiet, just because my wife and I were talking. It was absurd and completely disruptive.The breakfast was another disappointment. The so-called chefs didn’t even know how to slice an avocado or poach an egg. The coffee was terrible, there were no freshly squeezed juices, and some pastries were literally served still wrapped in plastic. This is unacceptable at any quality hotel, let alone one claiming to be five-star.When I tried to extend my stay by one night, no one at the front desk was able or willing to help me. One man suggested I stay at another hotel and that nothing was available, without checking. At that moment I checked online and I was able to rebook the extra night on Booking.com myself. That’s not what I expect from five-star service. They don’t even greet you when you enter the lobby.I regret not booking at Casa Clàt or Palazzo Tirso instead. This hotel did not live up to expectations.

Beautiful property in the heart of the city. Close to all of the neighborhoods you want to explore on foot. Lovely gym available to guests with enough modern equipment to get a great workout in. Rooms were beautifully appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was incredible.

Really nice hotel with a lively courtyard of small restaurants. Lovely rooms, mine had a terrace on the courtyard where it was nice to relax in the early evening with a drink. Very large room and bathroom, well supplied with amenities, coffee, and water. It is very very clean and well tended property. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, especially the gentleman who helped with valet and luggage. Easy to walk to the Castello area and see that older part of town with great views and the beautiful cathedral. Also easy to drive out to poetto beach area in less then 15 min. Or on to Villasimius for a nice day trip up the coast.

Honestly cannot think of anything I didn't like. It is a nice luxury hotel.
