Pros +
- It was a great, very comfortable stay, the room was super clean, great shower, comfortable bed.The staff is very thoughtful and friendly.Location is great, right in the heart of Cagliari.
- The Location
- All the rooms are so different. Some of the solutions are not practical. These rooms are better for short visits. The hotel is in area that is under renovations.
Cons -
- Overall, the hotel seems to prioritise visual appeal over functionality, leaning heavily on aesthetics that may photograph well but do little to enhance the guest experience. Some of the amenities are not presented transparently and require a generous imagination to see them as true selling points. For the price, I’ve experienced far more comfortable and thoughtfully designed accommodations in the area that genuinely deliver on the boutique hotel promise—unfortunately, this property did not.The room felt cluttered and lacked practical storage space. The only option for unpacking was a few hangers awkwardly positioned above the tea and coffee station, which in turn made that area inconvenient to use. No drawers or cupboards. The decor was also rather perplexing, with two oversized Jaguar dealership emblems dominating the space. Rather than adding character, they created an atmosphere more reminiscent of a teenager’s bedroom or a car enthusiast’s garage than a relaxing hotel room.Adding to the visual clutter was a vinyl yoga or massage mat placed next to the bed. Its purpose was unclear, and it seemed more like an afterthought than a thoughtful amenity—ultimately contributing to the sense of disorganisation and lack of usable space.A theme that carries through the hotel from the entrance. One particularly disappointing feature was the so-called “balcony,” which turned out to be nothing more than a window ledge accessed by climbing through a window. Marketing this feature as a balcony is, at best, misleading.Additionally, parking at €25 per day felt excessive and opportunistic as other covered parking in the area is only €10 per 24hrs and also considering lower rates I’ve paid at hotels in more expensive cities such as Zurich, Geneva, Amsterdam, and London.
- The hotel had closed the rooftop teracce for the winter. The offered breakfast was really limited. Lobby area was not cosy.
- The breakfast could have been a little more inspiringOur room had steps built into the bathroom which were a little awkward

Innovative designHandy locationComfortable roomGreat shower
The breakfast could have been a little more inspiringOur room had steps built into the bathroom which were a little awkward
Room was nice
Parking was expensive and tiny
A small, well-located hotel with friendly service and interesting, slightly avant-garde interiors.
Great location very accommodating staff. Friendly and helpful.
Shower in middle of room was unexpected looking at pictures.
Location walking distance from the old city area with bars and restaurants.Very nice room.Friendly people also gave us recommendations for the area.
The parking was a bit difficult around the area for us that we had a car.
Very large and nicely furnitured room.Garage place for my bicycle.Rooftop lounge
Clean rooms and friendly staff
Parking options weren’t very good.
Very central location, nice and spacious room, modern touch of furnishing, extremely helpful and nice personnel.
Great location and wonderful staff !
All great, if I was going to be picky breakfast could have less cakes and more healthy options.
We loved the location and ability to park in their garage very secure. It was in the middle of everything and was quite a different hotel to the standard. It also had sky so could watch things in different languages a bit easier than normal.
The layout was a bit weird as an example the shower was not in the bathroom.Breakfast was not great. It’s just a very typical basic hotel breakfast. We went out to eat the second day as there wasn’t much variety
The caring staff - I required urgent medical treatment including an operation, and the staff were fantastic and so accommodating, especially Iluka, in helping us negotiate this difficult time. The funky stylish decor with all of the rooms being decorated with different themes. Loved the light and courtyard of Room 3.The breakfast room and the home cooked pastries
Fantastic stay at Neko Hotel in Cagliari! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel's location is ideal, close to historical sites, restaurants, and shops. Impressed by the cleanliness; kudos to the cleaning staff!
Only minor downside: the air conditioning can be a tad noisy at night. Overall, highly recommend!
Very modern and clean hotel in the center of the old city.
The breakfast should have been a little bit more various.
The Hotel was very clean and walking distance to everything
We were given the wrong room which was very tiny. I spoke to the staff the following morning and he agreed that they had made a mistake, so we were given a different room that afternoon. But that room was also small. We chose one with a balcony but we didn't have a balcony, it was just a small space, so the advertising for the room we chose was misleading. We were given no compensation. Also on our first day, we went to the terrace for breakfast and there was a film crew there and they made it perfectly clear that we were in the way. Not a good start!
Location and it was clean. Has a refrigerator with mini bar for $$, kettle and tea/coffee items, not sure if you have to pay.
The check in was cold, had minimal information about area. I was in room 3. It had no room for bags or people and in fact the SHOWER was in the room, right behind the bed … no walls or curtains, just a clear glass between the bed and and the shower head, a bit awkward if you are not traveling with an intimate partner and lots of mirrors. Everything very dark, no light by the mirror so you can dress properly.
This boutique hotel is well decorated, comfy beds and exceptionally helpful staff. Large bathrooms.
Something minor - a little more variety at breakfast would have been great.
