Palazzo Boyl 1840

First the staff. Absolutely the most kind and caring support for their guests. We had planned to stay at this hotel for 3 days but a cycling accident interrupted our trip and resulted in emergent surgery for my husband. Our time in Cagliari was reduced to one night before our flight as surgery was done an hour away in Oristano. My husband was still in much pain, and on crutches but the staff was 100% supportive, kind, and did everything possible to help make our short stay worthwhile. The only disappointment was the restaurant being closed that night as going out to eat was not possible. We hope to return to Sardinia to complete our exploration of the island another time and this will be our first stop. A heartfelt thank you to all of the staff. It was nurturing at a time desperately needed. The history of the hotel is so well preserved yet updated. It is a lovely hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The old elevator is charming.

That we didn't get to spend more time in good health to fully experience all this beautiful hotel has to offer.

This room is incredible! The view from the terrace is breathtaking. The staff are very friendly. They recommended delicious restaurants and helped us book taxis. The location is very close to the airport.

Palazzo Boyl’s location is exceptional with breathtaking views across the historic city to the Marinas, ports & ocean beyond, The gym is unique with its state of the art technogym equipment set with the classic architecture lit with large chandeliers.. Breakfast is of the highest quality.. definitely returning.

The only thing I personally missed was laundry service.,although there is a serviced wash available with a short walk.

So worth it! This hotel completely made my stay in Cagliari. Everything was exquisite and unique. The customer service was first class. There was an event on the first floor so the manager upgraded me to another room. It was beyond incredible.

Nothing. I’d go back in a heartbeat. This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at in the world.

We got an upgrade to the biggest suite because there was a party at night in the restaurant. That was so thoughtful of the staff. The hotel is just spectacular. Staff is amazing and the breakfast was great.

Top location in the heart of Cagliari, overlooking all of the pitoresque city, seaside and mountains. Charming rooms with splendid detail, combining nostalgia and modern style. Nice cafe and restaurant included - we absolutely enjoyed the extraordinary "Palazzo" setup, special thanks to the charming service of Mario & Michele at the reception. A full five stars' experience, we will def. return to this place.

staff were amazing and always available and attentive, the trio at reception were great and you could tell took great pricde in their jobs and the hotel; amazing breakfast; stunning views and a great location; hotel cleaning staff were all but invisible but everything was always perfect in the room

Unique and sophisticated decor. Newly renovated hotel in great location overlooking the town. Very cool coffee shop. On ground level and excellent staff. Mario was fantastic as was Michele o the front desk.

I don’t write many reviews, but wanted to for Palazzo Boyl because we had such a wonderful time. We travel a lot and think this hotel is exceptional. The location, the staff, the view, the food, the service were all impeccable. I can’t recommend this place enough. We had never been to Sardinia and we had a fabulous stay here.

The staff were the nicest, most caring, helpful people I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. Our room was absolutely the most beautiful comfortable welcoming space. Felt like we were in a home. Huge windows overlooked Cagliari from every direction. Truly a special place. So tasteful, clean, and unique.

Unbeatable views over the city and port! Charming building and friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts in cafe in the hotel building. Would also recommend the independent restaurant on the 2nd floor of the hotel - probably our best meal in Cagliari, with lovely views from the terrace.

Bed was a little small, but apart from that everything was great.

Great new boutique hotel at the center of Cagliari. Being a palazzo of an old aristocratic family, the building and the rooms are truly unique. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. Our room had a nice little terrace and a cool old pinball machine. Stay here and beat our score of 43,410 :) Would definitely recommend

The included breakfast was lovely. It was al la cart and not buffet. The room was very large and comfortable.The staff was amazing. Always addressed us by name and were availableFor anything needed. They even stood in a spot for our car so we didn't have to park far in the muni lot!

There are a lot and I mean a lot of steps to get up and down to the main square. We were told there was an elevator but could not find it.The elevator in the hotel is a tight squeeze so if you're claustrophobic you'll be walking the steps.

Beautiful old building which has been renovated to a very high luxury finish. Amazing room & amazing staff. We’ve never stayed in such a unique room.

Newly refurbished, modern facilities but lots of old Italian charm. There is a fabulous restaurant on the second floor. We had a lovely top floor room with a roof terrace overlooking the entire city. Very romantic. All the team went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience.
