Clean and nice and has air conditioning

The staff wasn’t welcoming - did not even smile when we entered . If you’re looking for the agriturismo stay that’s not the place

The road is not visible but the hotel inside was good

Breakfast restocking was a little slow, but only one person staffed doing food , coffee and cleaning, need more personal for breakfast

Unfortunatelly the rooms have very thin walls so you hear everything your neighbours say or do as if they were in the same room as you. This is unacceptable in a hotel located in such a place that suggests that you could find peace and silence. It is simply not worth the price. We are very glad that we spent only one night here - if more nights had to be passed here then it would have been a complete failure.

The room was spacious and comfortable. We had evening meal in the restaurant which was delicious. The location was deep in the countryside, very tranquil and beautiful.

The views, very quiet, excellent service. The food is great. The location is good to use it as a central place to visit la toscana, and it feels very calm place, like the real toscana feeling.

Good breakfast at 7, which helps a lot. Quiet room. Right on Via Francigena.

Poor internet

Its a good location and i'm sure very lovely in warmer months. We experienced none of the hospitality mentioned on other reviews. Breakfast bar was basically empty not refilled, therefore very few choices if you dont wish to eat pastry or meat. The location and value for money are otherwise good. We were comfortable in the room, which was clean and enjoyed the surroundings. Parking is easy.

Lack of hospitality. It was mentioned in a previous review there are laundry facilities here, my mistake perhaps. They are not at hotel, rather back in the town. The doors in the room wouldn't shut properly and jammed, which made a lot of noise and created a privacy issue for the bathroom.

We stayed at the hotel whilst walking the Via Francigena across Tuscany. The route passes Il Pietreto so it is an ideal place to rest for a night. Staff were friendly and welcoming. there are gardens around the hotel and plenty of seating. We enjoyed a swim in the pool before breakfast. The menu is not large, but the food was good and plentiful both at dinner and breakfast with options for a vegetarian diet.

There were 3 of us in two rooms, not sited next to each other. Not a big problem, but seemed unusual as we had booked months in advance.

Excellent location, if you need a quiet place close to a lot of famous landmarks. The building is very authentic and yet comfortable inside. The pool has an amazing view of Toscana's countryside. The food and drinks are simple and delicious. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We got exactly what we expected! It was a great experience and we didn't want to leave.

The staff at Il Pietro are phenomenal, and went out of their way cheerfully to help us. We were walking the Via Francigena on a very hot July day—they allowed us an early check-in and even prepared us a small lunch though the restaurant was closed. Antonio was personable, thoughtful, and kind. For Pilgrims, this place is RIGHT on the Via Francigena and we highly recommend!!

It can be challenging getting into the upper swimming pool because you must go down a ladder, which gets very hot on the hands in the summer.

Nice hotel and calm atmosphere with good location. Pool has a nice view. Receptionist speaks good English and ready to support you.

No internet/wifi connection in the room. It was explain “due to thick walls”. It could be solved easily by a WiFi router and add more comfort for low price.

Amazing hotel in quiet location (almost in forest). Cleaning every day, nice view from the pool, good food, but the most important is such extraordinary personel. Everybody was so kind, always with the smile on their faces. Special thanks to Alexandra, who took very good care of us. We really appreciate that and would love to come back!

Lovely hotel in a gorgeous part of Tuscany, located right next to Via Francigena. Situated perfectly for country walks and near enough to local vineyards. The food we had here was really beautiful.

Nothing negative to say

The location of this property was perfect . If you are doing the Via Francigiena this is idyllic . Although the rooms are basic they are clean .The staff were very accommodating . We had a lovely meal in the hotel restaurant.

The WiFi is not dependable and as other reviewers have said there is a need for better curtains for room privacy . If you want air conditioning it is advisable to let the hotel know in advance as there are only 5 rooms with air con.

The property is on quiet and remote place. The room was really big with comfortable bed. The room and the pool was also very clean. The breakfast was also good with enough options.

We had glass doors with a really thin coverage, which didn’t gave us enough intimacy.
