Motel Bergtheim - Self Check-in

Situated one day´s travel by car from Denmark

A stench of Marijuana met the nose as we entered the ground floor. The rooms also bore reminiscence of Marujuana use immediately before our arrival. The beds were in a league of their own: Human excretions were seen on the sheets in both of our rooms: Something looking as feces and some other yellowish spots on the sheets. Black pubic hair could be found on the sheets as well.I have never ever booked rooms as disgusting as this in my entire time as a user of Booking.com.The staff did not respond to our phonecalls. Only an answering machine was available telling us that an email might be answered.The ONLY - and I really mean only - reason that we did not leave the rooms at once was the time of day. Unfortunately,both our kids and my wife and I were too tired to continue our journey.Needless to say: We slept with all our clothes on and on the top of the duvets.

The location was only really good for a stopover on a long journey. Part of a retail/industrial area.

There was no staff, it was a vending machine motel where they send you a code to get in. This was new and different but worked well. Place was spartan but very clean and safe and just right for our purposes. My son paid for it so I can't answer the value question. It was located about 2 blocks from the location I needed to be near. Would definitely stay here again.

Shower puddled on the floor due to hole in seal. No big deal.

The location was convenient.

It was very dirty, spider webs and spiders in every corner and the bathroom smelled really bad as the syphon must have dried up and the sewer smell came out.

Simple online check-in, no hassle , no keys, no staff, no complications. Entrance is with the code which is sent by SMS. Very clean, more than satisfactory for a short stay. Excellent value for the money! I would gladly book again.

Great design and clean apartments, comfortable beds and fairly quiet at night. Excellent self-registration system. There is a supermarket with bakery, coffee and croissant literally next to it, perfect.

Water flows a little from the shower cabin, the door does not close tightly. But this is not a big problem.

Self check in/out works very good, including the possibility to checkin late. Perfect for an overnight rest on a longer trip. Easy to find, parking in front of main door and properly lit. Room is minimal and clean. Area very quiet. Smart tv adds value.

We checked in around 21.00 and found window open. Outside was -6 C.. it took some time to reach a comfortable temperature

Someone made a really bad plumbing design, bathrooms smell like sewers.Main doors when closing make a sound like a bomb falling nearby.

Easy online check in. We were able to provide our information prior to arrival and received the room number and PIN code immediately. There was a floor fan in the room to help keep cool. Free parking directly in front of the building. The REWE behind the building- about a 30 second walk- was a great treat to restock travel supplies. I’m not sure why all the negative reviews here as it was exactly what we needed for a one night stay. Even had a large smart TV in the room. Excellent water pressure in the shower.

We couldn’t open the windows for fresh air due to the amount of bugs outside- perhaps think about adding fly screens to the windows.

The door to the building was off the hinges and stayed wide open the entire stay. My room was the first room by the open door. Huge safety concerns.

Bad

The room was dirty and had multiple signs that it had not been cleaned since the person before us left the room.We arrived very tired late in the night and didn't wanted to bother with calling someone, we just needed a bed. It was a terrible experience!We felt unsafe as the place had groups of loud, seemingly druk people wandering the halls, smoking cigarettes everywhere and they kept the front door open, meaning that we only had the room door between any random stranger outside and our selves

Quite easy to check in, perfect for a quick rest on a long drive.Room was furnished for a comfortable longer stay.

Took a while to get the info about which room and floor was mine.

Spacious, all new and clean.

Hot like in oven, no air conditioner.
