Pros +

  • Hotel is in a central location and easily accessible. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is also a good spread.
  • Staff weren’t very welcoming and helpful, felt like when I was staying there it was a case of looking down at me due to having a bike. Very snobby and didn’t meet the high end they were after. Breakfast was sub standard and coffee was awful when you can go up the road and have a great coffee. Don’t bother wasting your money on this.
  • Staff were lovely, and the lounge was great for a drink. Then water pressure was also fantastic

Cons -

  • Pretty much above. The biggest one was far from humble and welcoming. Not friendly what so ever
  • The pillows, while plentiful were quite flat (as are many Spanish pillows).
  • The spa was closed until mid Jan for annual maintenance, which we only found out about 48h before arriving… Also, the beds only have a sheer blanket and no proper duvet, which doesn’t feel very comfortable in the middle of winter.

Very beautiful venue with a soul, yet very comfy. Very kind staff.

Very clean, wonderful staff, full of character and great location. Parking was excellent too.

Communal areas had character. Location quite central

Noisy road works outside bedroom window. No hot water for shower throughout hotel on 1 morning & no apology from reception staff. Breakfast quite basic and service very slow. Bedroom shabby in parts- needs carpet clean & attention to woodwork

The staff were wonderful - very helpful. Good location and lovely atmosphere.

There were no international television stations which is disappointing considering the cost of the accommodation.

Beautiful room and excellent location

Wifi in room poor connection. No problem in downstairs area

Loved the hotel and it location.

Sadly the road directly outside the hotel was being dug up and all the pavements replaced. There was a lot of noise when we arrived ( not at the fault of the hotel) it would have been nice if hotel had advised in advance. Luckily workmen did not start early in the morning .

Very pleasant hotel with wonderful courtyard drinks and meals area. Good sized room with good facilities. Staff were very helpful we ordered a taxi but there were none in the area so a staff member helped with our bags to the nearest taxi rank, we got a taxi within 15 minutes so still made train with time to spare.

Nothing about the hotel but the construction work replacing the pavement did make access difficult. Apparently work will be complete Jan 2026.

The outside courtyard was lovely. The breakfast was good and the tall gentleman on reception very pleasant.

Thought it was a nice property in its day but seriously needs refurbishing. It was clean but just dated.

Beautiful hotel in a great location.

At the time of our visit the road directly outside the hotel was a building site making access difficult and heavy diggers and drills at 8am in the morning didnt make for a relaxing start to our days in Granada. We did have an option to cancel our booking upto 24 hours before our visit. Had the hotel advised us of these planned works we would have looked for alternative accommodation but we weren't given any pre warning of these major works.

Fairly good location and had parking option which we needed. Rooms comfortable.Staff pleasant

Gym should add some fans and mats. The hours are strange but they opened it up for us early. Still not ideal given the setting. Also it worked for us as 2 people. Can’t really have more - very small.Breakfast is quite disappointing. There is bread, you can order eggs and we were able to get yogurt. Fruit and croissant is whatever they have and seems not replenished. Staff person at breakfast not too pleasant.

Location was good

Found the staff to be non-hospitable and unaccommodating. The rooms were damp and musty, lacking basic amenities the place is dated as far as the rooms are concerned. Overall disappointed but the location was very good.

Very beautiful hotel. Large room, very friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. Large and excellent shower. Very clean. They offer parking just adjacent to the hotel. Breakfast was very good/Great location for visiting Granada.

The AC was not strong enough, needed a fan to make the room cooler. The streets around the hotel are under renovation, made it difficult to find the address with the car.

Beautiful boutique hotel within easy access of the town . Staff very helpful and accommodating . Room very comfortable .

2AustinPosted on: 8-1-2025

Nothing….

Villa Oniria is trying to be something it’s not. The entire street is under construction, making it noisy and chaotic. I had to change rooms twice due to issues, and the hotel layout feels odd and outdated. The rooms are poorly decorated, and the air conditioning barely works. If you’re looking for a genuinely nice hotel experience, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

9LorrainePosted on: 7-3-2025

Breakfast had a good choice and you could order eggs cooked to your liking, as well as pancakes and toppings. Good location close to restaurants and shops.

8BeverlyPosted on: 6-23-2025

Beautiful building. Lovely spacious room, comfortable bed and all the facilities you'd want.Location was very good - less than a 10 minute walk to the cathedral, Plaza Nueva and Albaicin - yet in a quite side road. Lovely garden and terrace.

Breakfast was a little disappointing. A great shame as the staff were lovely as was everything else. Not a good selection for non meat-eaters. There were only cherry tomatoes (and no other veg/salad) one day but not the other days. Very small selection of pastries (mainly little doughnuts/pain au chocolat). The hot, cooked (to order) selection was also disappointing - not very tasty and/or overcooked. The bread was very good though and a decent selection. The fruit juices were also very good.
