    Pros +

    • Location is great. in the center of Alhambra.
    • Staff es muy cordial y te hace sentir como en casa de inmediato. La habitación es muy cómoda, al subir las escaleras se percibe un delicado y exquisito olor como a especias. Se come muy rico en su restaurante con precios muy razonables.
    • The hotel was certainly 'more' than a 1 star experience. The room was basic, VERY clean and the staff more than helpful, and of course the location can't be better. Breakfast options and restaurant for lunch were good. Enjoyed staying for sure!

    Cons -

    • One of the staff was not friendly at all.
    • Ubicación no es conveniente. Visitamos Alhambra y claro, queda allí mismo. Pero para conocer otras cosas, hay que caminar mucho y regresarse en taxi. El estacionamiento está lejos. Las almohadas fueron cómodas pero nos dio alergia al rostro.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I did not have a ticket , but they arranged for me. I love the little outdoor restaurant ( breakfast ). It was so easy to access Alhambra and to walk to/ from Granada - lovely!

Overall, it was ok. The room was clean, but amenities were limited. Staff was nice except upon leaving when we had already paid for 2 days of parking and they wanted to charge me again, which I refused to pay. The front desk clerk that day, alprently made an error and arranged me and my wife with emails and calls about paying a second time for the same 2 nights that we had paid upon arrival with one of the owners. The parking lot is a long way from the hotel, at least a 15-20 minute walk on the Alhambra grounds and when we arrived to park the vehicle after dropping off our bags we never received a ti yet from the machine to enter the lot. We immediately told the owner when we walked back to the hotel and she gave us 2 slips, made a not and called the parking lot attendant to let them know so when we checked out and went to get our vehicle we woukdnt pay for any additional days other than the 2 nights we were there.Well, that's not how it worked when we had left. Plus, we had to take a cab to get the car, and that cost us an additional 15 Euros.Anyway, we didn't pay, but the girl at the desk that last day kept calling us after we had left while we were driving to Murcier and said she was going to charge those days again to my card.So far, I haven't seen any more charges, but it was an ordeal overall and an unpleasant way to end our stay at their hotel. The parking thing is very confusing and just not convenient. I suggest to stay off the grounds of the Alhambra and take a cab there when you want to visit it and stay closer to the town area as there is nothing close by to the hotel, everything closes somewhat early and u can't stroll out for a late bite other than what the hotel has to offer at the times they are open.Overall, I would give it a 7, and that's being generous.

Its location inside the Alhambra grounds is spectacular! It’s perfect if visiting the site as you can split your visit with a timely nap or bocas in a lovely courtyard!

The drawback of traveling alone is that I am often given the room with the twin-size bed…but the view of the street of the Carlos V palace and Turkish baths made up for it!

Great location for visiting the Alhambra. Quaint, but has all the immenities. Staff were wonderful especially Puri who gave us many excellent recommendations for restaurants and was extremely friendly and helpful. Was easy to get taxi into town.

Nothing!!Finding the right entrance into the Alhambra property to access the hotel was initially tricky but once found everything went smoothly and parking in the Alhambra parking lot was relatively close.

Cute, quaint place. Staff were great. Nice restaurant onsite. Fun to be inside the old walls. Lots of steep walking, but worth it.

Need to let them know if you can’t do the stairs.

Best location imaginable for seeing the Alhambra. Kind staff and they are able to get tickets to the Alhambra if you stay two nights or more which was a godsend as we didn’t book it ahead of time.

The hotel is a pretty, quaint-looking one within the Alhambra grounds. I had a very nice small balcony (seen in the picture). After a long Alhambra tour, I just walked right back to the hotel (2-3 min walk)!

No elevator; not a lot of eateries to choose from since it’s away central Granada; front desk available from 9am-11 pm

A magnificent historic home transformed into a quant boutique hotel inside the walls of the Alahandra. A truly memorable stay.

Good small property inside the Alhambra. Made it easy to get to our morning tour after staying here one night.

Parking is actually like a ten minute walk away if you come by car.

All over the place really only has location. The room was tiny, the “double” bed was barely big enough for two and the breakfast was… meh

The woman at the front desk convinced us to pay extra for a “double”. Not even close to worth the extra 30 euros per night

Location great on the Alhambra site . To get there with the rental car very stressful . You have to look for the wooden little house ( Klein houten huisje en daar rechts door de slagboom ) And go through the gate there . Very Andalusian style hotel we loved it . First night was rough because the bed was way to small for us Dutch people . We took an upgrade to another room and the bed was a bit bigger so better for us . The staff was very helpful if you ask them questions . Luxery hotel. Very quit at night and super nice atmosphere.

Small bed first night , the stress about the rental car parked so far away and difficult to get there . Maybe a point to help guests to send them more info upfront about how to get at the hotel and how it works with the parking tickets they have a nice discount .

If your main reason for visiting Granada is to see the Alhambra/Generalife (for which reservations are required several weeks in advance), then this is an ideal location for a base. It also means you can easily walk around the area's public spaces after dark, when it is quiet and atmospheric. As for the hotel itself, we had walked past it several times in previous years and this year we decided to stay (4 nights in the room with a balcony): we are glad we did. It is quirky, charming and cosy. I was generally quiet and peaceful when we were there (though obviously this will depend on who the other guests are, especially if you have the balcony room which is above the internal courtyard where meals / drinks are served during the day).We received a very warm welcome from the nice lady on the desk when we arrived, and the staff were generally lovely and helpful throughout the visit. And it was nice to be able to buy a light breakfast on the mornings that we were feeling too lazy to go into town.We would happily stay here again.... in fact, we are planning to!

Unless you are opting for buses/taxis, it's quite a steep and lengthy hike from both the nearest car park (we parked at lot 4 of Parkia Alhambra) and also the city centre / cathedral / eateries etc. So if you are not focused on the Alhambra / Generalife, then other locations may be easier. But nevertheless, I would still recommend this small and sweet hotel for a pleasant and unique experience. The only slight negative on this visit is that we returned from the city centre about 11pm on our last night, and could not get the keypad to open to the external door. We were locked out and feared having to sleep in the open air... but after a few minutes of pressing the buzzer, the intercom finally came to life and we were given entry. Phew!

UNIQUE LOCATION! Right inside the Alhambra. Very friendly staff. Quaint interior. Clean and quiet.

It's a unique place and well worth the aspects you have to consider:It's a bit isolated. you have to walk up and down the hill or take the bus or taxi to get anywhere in the city.Only one restaurant near by, "Jardines Alberto." A bit pricey but good.TIP: Take bus C32 all the way to Plaza St. Nicolas!

Traditional and characteristic property with modern conveniences close to the Alhambra. It was great to wander around at night without the crowds and see the buildings illuminated. There was a lovely central courtyard complete with lush plants and ceramics where you could sit and eat. The staff were really helpful, lending us an umbrella, letting us leave our suitcases and calling for a taxi to the station.

Close to the Alhambra, it is located away from the main area of restaurants but there is a reliable and frequent bus that stops fairly nearby which takes about 10 minutes to get to the centre of town.

This quaint family hotel was like a home from home. The charming owners went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable. Not only were we treated as friends, but they did their utmost to help us when we had trouble with an excursion provider.
