- This hotel has a personal touch! The stuff was very friendly and helpful. Our car was towed from the parking because of the market on Tuesday and Victoria was able to figure out where is our vehicle and help us get there to pick it up. Thank you!!!!
- I loved the location and the price was very good.
- The staff were very amiable and friendly.
Cons -
- Some of the staff was not so friendly.
- The room was quite small for 3 people for the price, it was also a bit annoying to have to drop the key off at the front desk however since the staff were friendly it wasn't much of a hassle.
- l will never book again at this hotel! One day before check in l was told the Hotel is closed! I will get a room not far from Hotel Plaza! Or l can get money back! It was too late for another booking! I asked to show me the room where l will stay. I was refused! Getting there: no Soap, no toilet paper! I was told to buy and next day l will get a....coffee from the House!Yes, an absolute nightmare!

The ONLY good thing about this place is its central to the top road, good breakfast place up the hill in front of the church. close to railway station and other bars, top road. Probably sits in the middle of the top road and bottom port.
Nothing to say apart from STAY CLEAR. We travelled from Venice not knowing a message in Italian had been sent by email that this hotel was SHUT. We turned and were told they had another, sister apartment we could use, 10mins from this one. They said the government had closed the hotel due to no water. It later become apparent that they had an infestation of BEDBUGS. So we trudged up to see this alternative apartment. My wife broke down in tears when we saw it. Number 104. The building was dilapidated, the room stank musty, foisty. Furniture from the 70s, fold down bed that was like a sink hole. When you slept you gravitated to the centre. Everywhere was manky. We bought some wipes and gave the place a good clean. The handles on the cupboard were manky, stains Everywhere. So we paid the same price for this dirty room as the room at the hotel. No apoligies from the staff, quite rude and not appreciating what inconvenience they had caused us. We spent an hour dragging suitcases, 3 times back and forth, no offer of water. Strangely one of the staff who had her car there seemed to be spying on us. Every time we were at the hotel or apartments, she would conveniently turn up a few seconds later. No offer of a lift or anything. Desenzano is a decent place but this really spoilt our time there
We turned up to discover the hotel was closed and were offered a very poor replacement. Dirty towels in the bathroom. Filthy sink.
They were expected ro pay the same amount for a -1 star replacement.
Location was great
1. Lots of tiny insects in our room.2. AC broken. The reception said we had opened our window so had to wait 2 hours for AC to reset! After numerous hours of waiting and further complaints, we decided to give up. 3. We asked for extra pillows since the 2 we had were pizza thin!! They said there were none left. 4. We asked if we could pay and have breakfast in the hotel. They said no.Worst hotel and service ever!
The location was great
The flush in the bathroom does not work. Asked the reception but no help. The AC does not cool the room.
It was close to the lake and the room was clean, if a bit tight for 4 people.
Extra charges for the dog and the city tax were 22€ extra that was a surprise and the green light in the hallway was a bit much. The lack of free parking was not so great
Great Location
Air-conditioning poor. First night, air-conditioning didn't work, so I was given a fan. Then, the next day, I changed to another room with air-conditioning. Fridge in the rooms, but they don't work. Phone in the rooms also don't work so unable to call reception. No in-house breakfast, and bar not available. The hotel doesn't have a kitchen. Lucky for the location being close to all amenities/cafes.HOTEL VERY OLD - VERY POOR I wouldn't recommend this hotel, especially in summertime.
Cheerful, friendly welcome. Nice room, if a little small for 4 people. Very close to lake though so perfectly situated. Also only a short walk from train station.
It was a bit dated and has seen better days but served us well for our one night visit.
The location is excellent as within minutes of walking out of the hotel to the left you are on the port side of lake garda where you can catch the boat trips / ferries There are lots of lake side cages, restaurants and bats to enjoy yourself at, along the walk across the front The town during day has lots of different shops and a few travel exchange places, banks etc. that are useful when traveling
The air conditioning didn't work and we were there during recent 38 degrees heatwave ..so not happy as we paid for this The rooms need updating and a good luck of paint as looking worn out and tired Car is parked in the car park opposite and is an extra €18 on top of the charge for booking the room for an overnight stay
The property was in an ideal location.
It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I was bitten/eaten alive by bedbugs. Fortunately, I was only there for a stay or around 30 hours, but the bedbug bites start coming out 24-48 hours after being bitten. I found a bug in the room and didn’t know what bed bugs looked like until after the chemist I went to suggested this. I was put on steroids, antibiotics and then told not to go in the sun or lake during my week long lake escape! The hotel has not responded to my 4 emails, as well as bookings.com customer service, even with my genius level status.Apart from bed bugs, this hotel was filthy. There were massive stains on the old, dirty carpet, the curtains were awfully filthy and the whole room and corridor needs a gutting and remodel. The drain in my room didn’t drain. There were dirty bags of rubbish and linen lying in corridors and in the foyer area.Although the staff were smiley and friendly, they were unhelpful with everyday things that hotel staff would be knowledgeable about, for example restaurants that catered for allergies in the area and where to get a bus to go to the train station. This was an unfortunate choice that ruined my holiday.
Localization was pretty good, the street transforms into a bazaar in the morning
Breakfast was pretty basic - no eggs, no meat, not worth the price. Shower cabin couldn't be fully closed.
Location was good and you get what you pay for - no frills but what do you expect
Staff and rooms were basic - breakfast was poor but again for the price i paid it is what it is.
The hotel is excellent value for money. The location is perfect. Everything worked flawlessly — the air conditioning and the fridge.
Horrible had to leave after...
Mold in the shower and bedbugs. We hade to leave to hotel couldn’t sleep in it
Just perfect location and really nice, helpfull staff.
Only average cleanless in the room o((, poor breakfast, air-condition almost not worked. Rooms really should be updated to be more comfortable...
Right next to the water. Very close to station and room and bed were spacious.
