Hotel Aquila D'Oro Desenzano

Great location on Lake Garda with views of Sirmione & Desenzano, watching swans & ducks swim by bobbing for fish. Excellent & bountiful buffet breakfast. Their Tortelli di zucca is outstanding for lunch or dinner! Highly recommended!

Breakfast I assume it's in all hotels like that.There are only boiled eggs and the coffee it's not hot enough for me.

Location, staff and restaurant

The room we booked was facing onto the lake. Lovely view. Room was clean and a good size.The staff were lovely, really helpful and friendly.The breakfast had a good choice each morning. We had a couple pf evening meals in the restaurant which were very good .The walk along the lake path to Desenzano took around 40 minutes. It was a lovely walk.

The local transport was very unreliable which was a shame. You never knew when the bus was going to arrive! It would be beneficial if the hotel reception could offer information of real time of buse timetable.

A beautiful and elegant hotel with pleasant and attentive staff! The views were stunning, there is a lovely 50 minute walk into Desanzo. Comfortable bed.

Not the hotel's fault at all but the bus outside is not reliable at all. I strongly recommend downloading IT Taxis app on your phone and get your taxi's that way.

Excellent position overlooking lake Garda, well maintained & peaceful

Property between Desenzano & Sirmione, buses very unpredictable , tricky to move about without transport- a sure 30 min walk. we hired electric bikes, I believe the hotel has a few ordinary bikes. This wouldn’t put me off tho!

Spacious rooms in comparison to bathrooms; very kind staff in the restaurant, very nice breakfast and coffee.Kettle and fridge in the room. Clean.Own parking.Nicely located right at the lake but without access to water. Stunning views in good weather :)

Rooms a bit dated; tiny bathroom, you step out of a small shower almost straight in the toilet.

the view was what we hoped for. The staff were outstanding in attention to detail and friendly.

The size of the bathroom, whilst reasonable, there was little space to leave wash items.

Rich breakfast, clean and large room, free parking, very friendly staff. We really enjoyed breakfasts outside on hotels terrace - perfect view, close to Lake Garda with perfect view of the mountains in the distance.

Excellent staff, a very nice breakfast, pool and great views. Plenty of parking. I would likely stay here again when I return. I had dinner there also and it was good.

Only issue was poor WiFi in the room, but elsewhere on the property it was good.

We liked the Terrace and the beautiful view. Good to have on site free parking too. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

The hotel was a little dated for my taste. The water in our room took a while to run hot and our room looked out onto the busy road which I had not expected. We had a power cut during our stay.

It is on the water but the room is very small and dingy. We checked in at the hotel across the street which is the same price and it was beautiful.

The room's were bad. Maybe 2 star
