    Pros +

    • The location is very close to the center of Desenzano del Garda, as well as the ferry docks. The room was spacious and the pool is a nice addition.
    • hardly aything
    • The concierge was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and had plenty of storage. The bed was really comfortable. There were plenty of towels and a useful magnifying shaving mirror. A kettle was provided for us. Plenty of umbrellas were available. Breakfast pastries were lovely and the yoghurt was good quality. The location was excellent - respectable area, quiet & near to the train station and the old town.A few English books and games were made available for the guests.

    Cons -

    • We were greeted by the host with good information on the establishment. The problem that we felt was that the host was a bit invasive, basically following us throughout the hotel and keeping an eye on us at the pool. We have a 5 year old boy so he is not necessarily the quietest, but he was very aware of the rules, but we still had the host coming up and saying not to make noise on the halls as people are asleep (it was 10 PM and my son was just talking). I believe that if you are not ready to host children at the establishment, it should be specified and prevented. The breakfast had very little options and the food itself was in short supply. Only when some parts were completely gone, the hosts would come up with a bit more (for example there are a few pieces of bacon and after they were gone, 3-4 more pieces were added back).
    • Hotel is run like boot camp. There are rules for everything. The man in charge seems to have Obsessive compulsive disorder, You cannot enter the dining room for breakfast until the exact time it opens. You cannot dare enter the kitchen. My room had neither a chair nor a table so I tried to do some work in the lobby. The man in charge turned out the lights at 9 Pm because that is the hotel rule. The room had no closet, chair , table, suitcase stand, etcSince every detail of breakfast must be prepared before the clients enter the room, the eggs and other food is cold.one does not feel welcome when there are so many rules. I do not recommend this hotel/bed and bbreakfast.
    • The decor was very old fashioned. Our balcony was screened off from the next door's room so there wasn't much of a view. Lot of signs everywhere instructing what you couldn't do & the penalty for infringement. e.g. expulsion for eating in the room or charges for leaving food on your breakfast plate. The breakfast didn't vary and sometimes the cooked food was cold. Only a few toiletries were left for us and they weren't very good quality. The hairdryer is the sort you have to keep your finger on for it to work.

The hotel has a very good location. Great staff and breakfast. A lovely small and quiet hotel. My room was small but very well planned and modern. I will definitely visit again and recommend to friends.

Really nice location and very pretty

Pool is not heated and beds were quite hard

Very friendly staff. Max went out of his way to help us when needed

Breakfast was limited, could do with offering a wider selection of fresh meets and cheeses. There was also no toaster. However, they were willing to make extra if required or not cooked how you liked it (eg crispy bacon)

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was varied and delicious.

Loved our stay in villa lilla. Villa felt really authentic and peaceful. The location was excellent, as the hotel was 5-10 minutes walk from the train station and the old town of desenzano. There also were some great restaurants very close to the hotel.Employees were keen to help us with the ferry timetables etc around Garda and always made sure everything was okay during our stay. Air conditioning worked perfectly in our room and the cleaners did great job helping to keep our room clean. Breakfast was fresh and it included all the necessities.

Great location a few minutes walk from both the train station and the centre/lake. The room and bathroom were a good size, comfortable and had a full length mirror, fridge, hanging space and lighting options. Breakfast had a good range and was sufficient. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.

The only thing for me was that there were no staff in the building from the evening. As a solo female traveller I booked a hotel ( as opposed to an apartment/airbnb) for security and feel better if there are staff there at all times.

The location was great close to the restaurants, bars, ferry and train station. Great shower and comfortable room. Breakfast was lovely and It was great to have use of a pool. We were able to leave our lugguage there on the last day until our train arrived.

It would be great if the pool opened earlier I would rather have a swim before breakfast then be able to set out for the day.

The hotel is in a perfect location between Desenzano train station and the lake. Staff were friendly and helpful, we stayed in a small double room on the top floor, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and it was all tasty. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the pool due to weather conditions but I do plan to visit again in the future so hopefully the weather will be warmer and we’ll get to try the pool.

I liked everything about the property.

Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, close to the main town and station. Beautiful villa and garden with a spotless pool area. Room was huge and nothing too much trouble. Would stay again and highly recommend to anyone.

    9AndrewPosted on: 6-16-2024

Lots of choice for breakfast and plentiful. Location was perfect and quiet, a small 5 min walk down to the town. Room good size with large bathroom with good mirrors.

Lots of notices for extra charges for items, should you be at liberty to use them, which I have not experienced elsewhere.

    9KathleenPosted on: 6-7-2024

The hotel was very clean. It was also very quiet and situated so we could easily walk everywhere. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cameras everywhere. Lots of do and don't signs everywhere .

    Good selection

Not enough bodywash available Could have done with an extra blanket, or duvet

    8SirmaPosted on: 5-27-2024

    Friendly. Good location.

The check in times. The closing times. While booking on line we did not see how strict the check in timing was. Then we were stressed as we got a mail that said you absolutely cannot check in after 22:00 because it is locked (except for your room key). And our booking was non refundable. At least we should know before buying. We had to change our plans to get there. Also on line it says parking. But again apparently you need to call and reserve in advance. Very misleading on line!

room was a little dated but was clean
