    • Location great
    • Nice and beautiful hotel with a nice pool.
    • very kind and service minded staff pleasant pool and garden great location

    Cons -

    • Rudest, most unhelpful staff I’ve ever met. After a gruelling, eight hour journey of many delays I was refused permission to use the pool on the basis that there’s been a storm about an hour earlier and their insurance wouldn’t cover it. Then I was refused permission to sit in the lounge to wait for my partner because it was after 11 pm! This is a four star hotel charging nearly £150 a night, the room was a grey box with absolutely nothing to make it feel pleasurable.I would like a partial refund from booking.com based on my experience
    • More proactive recommondations and help with bookings at reception.
    • very uncomfortable beds (old matraisse) only one coffee machine

Good selection at breakfast. Location was great for ferry and the view was amazing. Pool was lovely too. Handy to have fridge in room too.

Only one socket in room for everything. It did have adapters attached to plug in more than one thing but it wasnt beside bed and it was awkward to get at under dressing table. No english breskfast tea/black tea available in hotel.

First of all the view is amazing! The rooms of the hotel are next to the golf and to wake up with such a great view in the morning is so beautiful. The breakfast was really good and the rooms and hotel are pieces of art. The hotel has parking in a beautiful garden. The staff was very helpful. I truly recommend.

    Everything was Amazing!

A great location by the ferry port. Lovely garden with pool which was pleasant to enjoy a drink & breakfast.Great breakfast with plenty of choice. Room had a balcony with a lovely view of the garden and the lake.

The room was little sparse with no decoration, but functional.Bathroom/Shower could have done with more shelves for shower gel etc.Just little things that make a difference, but overall it was fine.

This was a lovely location...quieter than the other villages. Nice restaurants. Pretty boutique hotel with a great terrace and sunloungers around the pool. Great breakfast buffet. Very convenient to pick up ferry boat.

Beds and pillows were rock hard! They gave us a mattress topper which helped slightly.Bathroom very clean but dated. Shower awkward to get into!Need your own hairdryer as old one on wall!

Quiet setting, very clean and small comfortable hotel, the pool and breakfast are the best things. Prosecco at breakfast and very sumptuous. We had a room facing the lake with balcony, exceptional nice.

The city of Maderno has not much to offer, but if you really want to go places, go to Salo, much more to offer. The property has everything and is simply said GOOD

    - great breakfast- friendly staff- pool- parking (paid)- comfortable bed- location- clean

    - WIFI, it almost all the time was reconnecting and interrupting, so if you think about working from the hotel, be aware of it

Lovely balcony looking onto the lake and mountains. Great breakfast with lot of choice.

The view is a 10 ?? breakfast is good and has homemade pastries which are delicious. Even though it's a busy street in the morning and there is also a church next door, the windows are soundproof which was perfect for us as light sleep persons.

The walls/door to hallway not soundproof, it was the case for us one morning that 2 persons were talking very loud in front of our door at 8am and woke us up.

The location right at the lake is nice, breakfast at the pool as well. The hotel has a beautiful building, but that's about it.

Staff very unfriendly (eventually English didn't work anymore and another guy came to talk, who also didn't speak any English), parking lot way too small for the amount of guests, AC didn't work at all, fridge didn't work in the room, bathroom needs an update (especially the shower), breakfast could have more variety. City Taxes had to be paid in cash without a receipt...

Excellent location next to the ferry port, with supermarket and restaurants of Maderno nearby (recommend La Tanna restaurant for good quality food). Short walk to the nearby beaches. Had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake which was lovely.

Weak wi-fi signal and no tea/coffee in room (which other hotels in Italy offer)

AC did not work, mold/water damage in the bathroom/hallway which smelled bad

    1JensPosted on: 8-6-2022

    Moldy

Our room was moldy with visible water damages on the ceiling in the bathroom and wall of the hallway, which gave the room an abundant and heavy musty and damp smell. The water damage also meant that the electricity did not work when the plugs tripped. We informed the hotel on at least three occasions. They came up and started the electricity via the plug cabinet each time, but it went off again after a while. They dismissed our views with "they had a storm that caused water to come in". Thus, we had problems with bad smells, no light in the room at night or in the bathroom during any part of the day, while batteries in phones and electronics could not be charged either at night or during the day. The balconies in the new part of the hotel are joined together. Due to smoking neighbors we were unfortunately unable to have our balcony door open and ventilate once we were in the room. In addition, of course, the AC turned off completely if the balcony door was opened.Wifi did not work in the room and there was basically no mobile coverage. We paid for a four star hotel and expected it to be reasonably fresh. It is also very nicely located by the small harbor. Unfortunately, what is offered according to our experience of the hotel, however, is a room not fit for purpose at full price and fairly nonchalant service. You will probably have completely different experiences of the hotel depending on which room you end up in. The hotel could not offer any alternative or a price reduction (i.e you pay the same price for a moldy room as for any other room).

The pool was amazing and so nice to have somewhere to cool off. The rooms were a good size, although tea and coffee facilities would have been nice. We predicted that from the description, do to our own, so wasn't a problem for us. The food and breakfast was great. The staff were very sociable and helpful. In terms of location you can get a boat to pretty much anywhere on the lake, from within 50yds of the hotel. There is also a good bus service within 100-150yds walk. We used it to get to Brescia and then, from there the train to Milan Central. We would very happily go back.

Not much. Maybe if the hotel served food in the evenings? Not that it was really needed as there are some many places to eat locally.

Located by the promenade, big balcony with shade, so when it was too hot to go outside during the day, you could just sit in the shade in your own balcony with a nice breeze and watch down to the promenade and see coming and going ferries and boats. Many good restaurants and cafes close by. Hotel breakfast was delicous and had lots of options. Garden is very beautiful and also private parking was very nicely organized.

Breakfast was quite good, pool was great and there's a lot of parking spaces. The best thing was the view and location right at the center.

The receptionist looked like he lost his will to live, which is not a good first impression. AC was practically not working at all, which makes it unbearable to sleep in the summer, you can open your windows, but the street is very noisy. Also vegetables for the breakfast were not fresh. And the bathroom, especially the shower, was designed by someone who never had a shower in his life, everything was very impractical.
