About

Surrounded by the beautiful mountain landscape of the Kitzbühel Alps and featuring different types of saunas, an aromatic steam bath and a relaxation room, Family Hotel Schloss Rosenegg in Fieberbrunn offers rustic rooms with a medieval atmosphere. A shuttle bus to the ski elevators of the ski area Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn stops a 1-minute walk away. You can feel the ambiance of the centuries-old castle in all rooms and apartments. Enjoy the unique insights into the romantic castle courtyard, the view on secret turrets and enchanted stairs, and the wonderful panorama of the impressive Tyrolean mountains. The rooms and apartments are furnished in various styles. Mighty walls, enchanted corners and hidden recesses, medieval magic - since its first recorded reference in 1187, Family Hotel Schloss Rosenegg has hosted many famous personalities, including Napoleon. The castle was turned into a hotel in 1938, but you can still feel its historic heartbeat in every corner.

    • The location of the hotel wasn't far from the ski lift and there was a ski bus not far from the hotel. The staff was very nice and the breakfast and dinner was great!
    • Great hotel in old castle style.Sauna, pool.Great breakfast and dinner.4min by car from ski area fieberbrun saalbach.Fieberbrun ski slopes are north oriented, so the snow quality is better even afternoon in warmer time like in March.
    • Brekfast was excellent. The sauna facilities are great. Dinner was always offering delightfull and great variety of dishes. The staff are extremely supportive and helpful. The taverna atmosphere and staff there is great.

    Cons -

    • Limited space on free parkplace in front of hotel, but 3min walk from hotel is bigger parking place.
    • That the holyday was too short!!!
    • We were missing a ventilation in a bathroom and a kettle in our room.

The hotel has got an ancient style. It was very unusual, very cosy.

We were missing a ventilation in a bathroom and a kettle in our room.

    Location and friendly stuff

It needs renovation, it has old ripped carpets, wellness is very old fashioned. Indoor pool is very cold. The breakfast was very poor, without any fruit, and the chepaest ham, salami…

Breakfast was quite good and tasty, kids loved croissants, variety of eggs prepared in all sorts of ways. The pool and sauna are a nice touch, give you a feeling of privacy and are not too crowded. Play area and pool table occupied the teenagers, even thou they had to pay to play. If you need something from the market it is across the street. The location is perfect to drive around to other towns like Zell am See, Kitzbuhl... Did not have the option to ski, as we arrived in October, so can't help there.

Cleanliness, while it was generally ok, rooms could and should be cleaner in some spots. We had several rooms, one room was never cleaned during the stay, nobody vacuumed under the bed in another room for quite some time. Not to mention one room wasn't ready at 15.00 on our arrival. Bed mattress in a third room felt like sleeping on a floor, too hard. Wooden floor boards on the "bridge" should get oiled, as they make really loud squeaky noises

Very quaint & charming. The rooms have unique features from a bygone castle era. The spa, pool & wellness center are great especially if u use it a lot. Their breakfast & dinner buffets were sumptuous & offered a wide selection. Close enough to walk from train station.

Older furnishings if u prefer newer & modern. We liked the old style for a change of pace.

Free parking garage, good food, pleasant staff.Good value for price.

Very noisy in room, because of river near hotel. Almost unpossible to sleep with open window.

The breakfast buffet and the pool.Mountains and good restaurants nearby.

The kitchen was missing basic utensils - cutlery, plates etc for light cooking. The pool area and interior and the tavern was run down and in need of an upgrade

pool, sauna, the service in the taverna was great....same in the restaurant!

Compared to last year there was absolutely NOBODY in the Kids club this year + no minidisco as wellOur room seemed to have a kitchen but we never got the keys to open itAirHockey table didnt have pucks to play withYou should do a better effort to get the food signs right....there was a chocolate cake that had alcohol and all kids eating itIdeally it makes more sense to have more fresh fruit variety during breakfast, not in the dinner

    Hotel room, food, spa

Everything was fine till the moment we were leaving. The hotel charged us twice for drinks at the same evening and we had to pay it even thought it was a mistake (the receptionist confirm). They said they can’t easily change the invoice so they will deal with that later via email. I was trying to contact them several times and the response was always the same “Your request is under examination . The Direction will then inform you.” They have never came back to me and it’s been almost 3 months!!I am really disapointed about this situation because the stay was really nice.

Everything was great! The hotel is beautiful and the staff were very helpful and polite. The room was bright and spacious and was cleaned every day. The pool is big enough for kids to have fun in the shallow part while the adults can enjoy the deeper part. We also enjoyed the sauna very much. Breakfast buffet was very good, there is something for everyone. There was also coffee, tea, juice etc.

There is a free parking lot across the street from the hotel but there is space only for a few cars. You can park your car in hotel’s underground parking garage for 9€ a day. This is not a negative thing, just an information.

    Clean, good value, spacious rooms.

    6MartinaPosted on: 2-12-2024

The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, food was rather good. The hotel is close to Spar which is convenient. The ski resort is reachable by car in about 5 minutes. It is a little difficult to find a parking spot there but definitely doable. We didn't use the ski bus.

It is not a good value for the money. We booked the hotel last minute with a discount and I would be really unhappy if I paid the full price! Even for the money paid, the quality wasn't what we expected. The hotel is very old and worn down. E.g. the curtain in our room was torn, there was mold in the bathtub joints. We barely got any information on our arrival. In the dining room, the staff didn't pay attention to the needs of the clientele. At one point, none of the three coffee machines worked and the staff didn't notice for long 10-15 minutes until they were told about the problem. In the morning, the tables weren't cleaned when people left so guests coming later on came to dirty tables. At dinner, the waiter only came to ask for a drinks order when we were eating dessert. Some of the saunas in the wellness complex were out of order. The pool would use some renovations. The layout of the hotel is quite inconvenient. If your room is located in the "new building" it is quite a walk to reach the exit or the dinning room. Walking back and forth for skiing, dinner, breakfast and dog walks got quite annoying. It would help if the new building had a separate exit.
