Pros +
- Beautiful classic building with our room being refurbished to a modern standard. Great choice of breakfast with hot options freshly cooked. Lovely location and views of the old castle. Refreshing walk into town.
- Location was everything we expected & more , staff were very friendly & helpfull
- Very friendly and accommodating staff. The breakfast was good and included something for everyone (müsli, eggs, bread, etc). The location was perfect for hiking up to Burg Trifels and there was a nice restaurant close by that was also walking distance from the hotel.
Cons -
- No refreshments in the room or hot drink making facility. Website spoke eloquently of the restaurant, however it would have been useful to know that it was closed after the Christmas period until 2 days after our arrival!
- Not being able to have a meal on site after traveling all day, they did provide us with a list of restaurants but further than we wanted to walk at night so we had to travel into town & find somwhere to park then find somewhere to eat.Breakfast was a bit expensive for what it was.
- The beds were unbearably hard in the family accommodation upstairs. We had two very uncomfortable nights of sleep. Apparently, the base frame of the bed was adjustable, but we weren't informed of this.
