    Pros +

    • Easy check in, parking, and great location! Clean and comfortable, would stay again!
    • Everything went very well. Excellent room , exceptional diner. The only issue was over a double booking which was quickly sorted out. The only downside was that I had to pay Booking . Com's commission for that double booking which I thought unfair for both myself and the hotel.
    • The location was great. The staff were friendly.

    Cons -

    • See above.
    • When I read other reviews complaining about bad sound isolation, I didn't pay much attention. You know, typical complaints about any hotel where people expect excellent sound isolation and complete silence which is not possible of course.Well, it turned out the sound isolation problem was not exaggerated. Due to the very old floor, when someone is walking in their room, it is super loud. But the worst part: when someone is walking in the neighboring room, it sounds as loud as if they were walking in your room. Walls are also super thin, so basically you can chat with the people in the neighboring room without leaving your room because you can hear everything they are talking/doing/walking.To cut a long story short, I almost didn't sleep.
    • No shower in our room

The location was perfect as starting point for hikes along and above the Semois river. Nice Brasserie with excellent food.

    No shower in our room

Old-fashioned hill resort directly at the river banks. Very quiet. Acceptable choice of foreign language TV-channels. Good restaurant for dinner. Very nice breakfast in a nice ambiance.

No short-term parking (signposted) for check in. Rooms show wear and tear. Bar was closed. No lounge to meet before dinner. Dinner booking could not be found, but seating was possible due to low hotel occupancy.

Lovely old hotel in the perfect position and a great breakfast. The staff kept the hotel immaculate.

Historic building, nicely renovated, super clean, convenient location ( easy walk to the chateau, close to commercial zone of the village (restaurants and cafes), reasonable price

May be nice to have a coffee machine or electric kettle ?

Very spacious room with desk and easy chairs, and a very comfortable bed. A central location and the view over the river was lovely. We were able to park right outside for our whole stay, but there is plenty of street parking nearby and also a hotel car park for an additional fee. Buffet breakfast and evening meal were both excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has a traditional feel and is a very relaxing place to stay.

The shower over the bath was awkward for older people to get into and the shower screen didn't prevent water from getting on the floor - a simple stand-alone shower instead of a bath would be a big improvement.

Private underground parking was great, considering the Mustang is a large car to manouvre in tight spaces. lovely old building kept up to modern standards in a lovely location. Room was good, overlooking the river, bridge and other part of town. great location.

maybe offer a cheaper dining menu for guests who dont want to spend nearly 100 euros per head.

Great breakfast, superb restaurant and attentive staff.

    Nothing really.

    8AndrewPosted on: 9-20-2024

Underground secure car parking. In the centre of the small town, right on the banks of the river.

Restaurant choice limited and very expensive for where it is located. Staff were mainly cold and stern in their interactions

Lovely hotel, good secure-parking, staff very helpful

Breakfast was expensive at 22 euros

    6MartinPosted on: 9-6-2024

Lovely building in an excellent location.

Secure parking for motorcycles, I was charged 20 euros to park our motorcycles in a secure car park which was empty. Why charge us for parking?? Though I appreciate secure parking, we took up no room. I understand for larger groups, but one or two should be free.

De la Poste offers everything I like from a classic hotel. The type you may have seen in the past. Traditional quality with carpet on the stairs, squeaky wooden floor, a location spot on in the middle of the town, views over the Semois and on the castle. Bouillon is a touristic village with plenty of restaurants, something good in the Ardennes

I was not in the possibility to test the in-house restaurant. The menu looks brilliant!

    10NicholasPosted on: 8-30-2024

Good Continental breakfast with some hot food options. Great location. Good car park for cars €16 per night and €8 for motorcycles because they can share a parking bay. There's free parking within the town so the parking is maybe more important for bikers ?

    No complaints here

    9PaulPosted on: 8-27-2024

Really helpful staff, hotel has secure parking for motorcycles, brilliant location, excellent breakfast, would happily stay again. Historic building, nice architecture

Floor boards a bit creaky, hope it did not wake up anyone below my room

The hotel is in the town Bouillon which is a lovely small town in a fantastic part of the country, with lots to do and see, good selection of restaurants and shops, Hotel is right in the centre of the town , it’s a very old building lots of creaky floors and stuff, staff where friendly and welcoming, room was very small and basic , rooms look like there getting old and things are getting worn, if you pay for a river view the rooms are bigger and slightly better, mine was on the back very small basic looks out on to another building, bathroom was small and basic, rooms where clean ish, breakfast was lots of choices of foods and very tasty and nice views over looking the river, under ground parking with lift to reception, i use this hotel as a pass through stop every year for one or two nights

Watch out for all the extras, breakfast, car-parking are not included in price, think you pay for the location , personal I think it’s a bit much for what you get,
