- It’s a beautiful hotel located close to Arona with a private beach. The swimming pool is beautiful. The room has a decent size and double glassed windows keep the room quiet from the main street.
- Everything was great from the food and drinks, to the beautiful pool and lakefront beach area. The employees were excellent especially Liala for helping us with transportation from the train and to the airport, and Zela’s service the entire trip was over the top and showed that she really cares about her customers.
- Breakfast very OK
Cons -
- I understand the house keepers need to do their work but talking and closing the storage rooms so loudly in front of the room with a sign “please do not disturb” is diabolic. It’s early in the morning and working with the minimum disturbance should be taken into consideration. Still, the hotel is worth a visit.

A beautiful and quiet spot on Lake Maggiore, ia bit isolated from the main towns, which is one of the reasons we chose it. A few minute walk to a bus stop, which we used to go to/from Stresa for the Borromean Islands daytrip. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant offered a very nice breakfast buffet and excellent dinner. The staff of the restaurant were delightful.
If you want to eat anywhere other than the hotel, a car, taxi, or the bus are realistically necessary. Taxis are very pricey, but the bus stop is so close, easy to use, and pleasant.
Good location on the side of the lake with parking. Helpful and friendly staff, excellent breakfast and dinner. Pretty pool area.
our bedroom was rather plain- a minor point.
Great location, refurbished rooms, excellent food and most importantly amazing staff ???
Lovely hotel with very welcoming staff. It's also great having both beach and pool access.
Our room was very small
The perfect place to spend some time in a lovely hotel with beautiful people. This place is amazing, very clean hotel with amazing view. Top service and the best breakfast ?
Very nice and modern rooms and beautiful bathrooms, the pool was very beautiful and the private beach was nice too, the flowers around the hotel were really nice, also the staff was very kind and helpful and the cocktails at the bar were also very good
On the private beach there are lots of boats so you can't really swim far, the breakfast was okay but there were no vegetables expect for tomatoes and it would have been nice to include some vegan yoghurt and milk options on the buffet, the restaurant was sadly not very good, we had gnocchis that were ok, but would have needed more salt and we had a tiramisu (8€) that was sadly not enjoyable at all because it was just dry cookies mascarpone and dark chocolate where they poured espresso over it didn't taste like tiramisu at all:( the interior at the reception was a little dated
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Villa Paradiso in Meina, Lago Maggiore, and I can't say enough good things about this charming hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality that set the tone for entire stay. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of Lago Maggiore. Waking up to the serene beauty of the lake each morning was an experience like no other. The hotel's grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush gardens and a lovely pool area. Room was comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated, reflecting the elegance of the entire property. The bed was incredibly comfortable.Another highlights of the stay was the hotel's restaurant. The food was exquisite. Dining with a view of the lake was an added bonus that made each meal special. The staff at Hotel Villa Paradiso truly made the stay memorable. They were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with any request we had.Overall, the stay at Hotel Villa Paradiso was nothing short of perfect. It's a little slice of paradise on Lago Maggiore, and I can't wait to return. If you're looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway with stunning views, exceptional service, and delicious food, look no further than Hotel Villa Paradiso. Highly recommended!
Upgraded room to Lake view at no extra cost, Breakfast was varies and fresh, staff very attentive.
Swimming pool, restaurant, rooms are nice
swimming pool closes at 19:00
Big room and beautiful bathroom. View of lake. Not far from 1Stresa where the boats leave from.
Mosquitos at sunset make the outdoor restaurant impossible. Curtains not wide enough to cover the windows and a lot of sun comes in the room early. No other restaurants in the town of Meina.
Room was modern clean and comfortable Resturant was very goodView of the lake was beautiful
The busy road between the hotel and the lake making dining outside noisyTotal lack of atmosphere inside for the bar and dining.
Nice location. Good breakfast. Nice personal.
No hot water in the morning. Funny light switches.
We didn’t want the whole tourist feeling of Lake Como and wanted a true quiet lake moment and this gave it 100%
The only thing I would say negative was they could use some dimmers for lighting in public dining areas . Very bright if you loose a contact lens lol
Excellent breakfastVery professional staffImmaculateParking freeClose to tourist attractions Front lago Maggiore
Suggestions: rooms need proper blackout blinds and fully noise isolation (current double glazing windows is not enough)
A very nice hotel on the lake. It provides an amazing scenery from its restaurant especially early in the morning. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great.
If you use an international mobile number you will struggle with the WiFi.
Everything was lovely, the setting is beautiful, the rooms are modern, the breakfast is good, the view wonderful. We stayed on a rainy weekday off season so did not get to enjoy the terrasse or the beach, but would have wanted to!
No pets policy, we may not be able to come back as we normally only travel around Switzerland with our dog
