Hotel Du Lac Menaggio

The pictures of this hotel do not do it justice. It is on the lake and centrally located. We got room 101, which had lake and harbor views -- and a balcony! -- for a great deal. It was an amazing room. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Parking is off-site, but close. Unlike other hotels, breakfast is not included, but the quality of the rooms and location more than compensates -- and there is a cafe below. It is on the main square, which was no issue for us, but may bother some.

Beautiful hotel! Our view was stunning and the room was more luxurious than we anticipated. It's in the heart of Menaggio but it's still very quiet and doesn't feel too touristy. The third floor has an infinity pool with an incredible view of the sunrise. Breakfast was great, the staff was very nice and the room was clean.

You could not beat the location.

The room could benefit from being updated, and the hair dryer on the wall felt like it was from 1968.

The location and views from this hotel are spectacular. Particularly from room 309!

It would have been nice to have breakfast included in the room.

The location of the hotel was centrally located and right on Lake Como. My balcony had a great view! The room was clean and very spacious.

This is hands down the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The bottom floor was a restaurant that started prepping at 7 am. The door leading from the restaurant to the main area slammed closed every time it was used and shook the entire hotel. This happened, starting at 7 am, every few minutes making sleep impossible.

We were hoping for a breakfast buffet but everything was a la card. That’s ok.

Parking was off site and yet they charged per day. That was not known at the time I booked the place.

Great property and great staff. The location is really nice, close to everything. I loved the balcony also.

The location was excellent and we loved our room with a view of the lake. We also enjoyed the bar downstairs to enjoy a cocktail or coffee in the morning. Was perfect.

The location is great, right on the town square of Menaggio. Beautiful view over Lake Como and Menaggio. The bus stop and ferry terminal are within walking distance.

For the price they charge (210 EUR a night) is too expensive what they offer. No wifi, no toiletries, hair dryer barely works, pillows very stiff, the pool is also pretty small and only 2 sunbeds.

Perfect location on Lake Como on a piazza overlooking the lake. Secure covered parking. Attentive staff. A spacious room with a balcony with lake view.

Beautiful room overlooking the lake. We arrived after the reception closed. Staff sent us details of how to access the hotel and room. All went smoothly.

Such a beautiful location facing the lake! The room was cute, clean and comfortable. Great little restaurant/bar. Would definitely stay here again!

Right on Lake Como!

Very few amenities, such as restaurant, but cafe downstairs did in a pinch. Hotel shared a Piazza with so many shops, that it was not much of a problem to get what we needed elsewhere!

Location was right in the heart of Menaggio and walking distance to restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel was right on the water and had views of Lake Como and walking distance to the ferry terminal to explore Lake Como areas.The room was spacious to accommodate large luggage, a bonus the hotel had lift.Overall a very comfortable stay for short term.

We only got to stay here for 1 night, but it was a lovely stay. We had a balcony which overlooked the lake, stunning. The rooftop pool also has a gorgeous view, but it is abit small and closes at 6:30pm. Great location and right near the bus stop which takes you directly to the start of the Greenway walk and Como.

The mattress could definitely do with an upgrade.

Breakfast was limited but adequate. I liked the fact that it was a la carte.All staff were very helpful. The bed was comfortable and everywhere was very clean.

Very good location and view on the lake.

Being on the 1st floor above the restaurant is not advised. The smell of pizza at each meal in the room is not appreciated and stays on clothing. Also, loud music during the morning is not relaxing at all. A lot of noise ! 1st floor above the restaurant is not recommended !
