Hotel Royal

Definitely the personal attention by the owner towards every guest at breakfast and dinner, I felt very cared for! Location, views, food, a waitress especially, helpfulness, patience and politeness of everyone.

The suite should have had a mini refrigerator to keep cold water or soda when we were thirsty, unpleasant that it did not. The bathroom shower's water could be warmer and took too long to warm up. We are not from Nowalk, we are from New York City.

This is a lovely small hotel with very attractive finishes throughout. The grounds and pool area are very nicely kept with pretty flowers and bushes throughout. The hotel is positioned up in the hills and has great views of the area and lake. Breakfast was excellent and service very friendly. Wish to note that Sophia at the front desk was wonderfully accommodating and an extremely charming young woman.

Sofia, the front desk agent was incredible, very sweet and kind and helped my aunt and I with recommendations and how to get around. Dimi was very nice as well! I booked 2 separate reservations and the first night the room was very small for 2 people. However, the second night we had a room with the view of the lake and that was very beautiful. The breakfast was good, the location is a bit far up the hill from the main areas and ferry but it's not bad to walk it without luggage, with big luggage i would recommend a taxi/bus although the buses are not great and don't run frequently. You can call the hotel and they can arrange a taxi for you. I would recommend this hotel!

A very nice hotel on the hill above Menaggio center. The hotel is very nice, well decorated and well kept. The stuff was very friendly and helpful, especially the lovely young lady Sofia at the reception who was very friendly and keen to help and make the guests feel like at home.

The room was a bit small (19 m2). Breakfast is good but I've seen better.

We enjoyed our stay so much! The ladies at the front desk, Adina and Sophia were so helpful and always with a smile!

The small hotel is a perfect stay for couples - quiet neighborhood, awesome view of Lake Como, pretty pool you can chill by, and very important - a great breakfast! We also used the parking, just in front of the entrance of the hotel. The room was big with a pretty terrace, and they also have a bar working all day - so we enjoyed beer and cocktails which they bring you directly to the pool or your terrace. The staff was very helpful!

The hotel is perfect, and the staff is awesome, it would just be great that they have a small restaurant (not only just for breakfast). As the Hotel Royal is above Menaggio, there are no restaurants nearby, just a pizzeria they recommended at the hotel - we tried to go to on our first day, but unfortunately they were fully booked for dinner.

The rooms is a bit outdated, location might not be far from center, however getting back from the center climbing uphill is exhausting.

Hotel is far away from ferry and on top of mountain. If you have heavy luggage or bags better take the bus as the climb is very steep and long.Power sockets in the room placed in extremely weird places and uncomfortable to reach

Excellent hotel!! nice and clean rooms with a beatiful view to the lake. The best, very kind people (specially Mario) and the restaurant, delicious dinner with local cuisine. 15 minutes walking distance to Menaggio center and ferry station
