Pros +
- Amazing views, great breakfast, nice staff and clean rooms!
- Staff was very friendly, accommodating and helpful.View was beautiful, breakfast was simple but delicious, loved that we had a bath, large enough room for our family of 4.
- Since the hotel is not in a town, it was nice that it had an attached restaurant. We appreciated that the owner organized a special vegetarian dinner for us at the restaurant. The breakfast was very good (especially the home made jam). The room we ended up in had a wonderful view of Lake Como and mountains beyond. The lounge area was comfortable (we had drinks there and played cards both evenings). I liked how each room in the hotel was different - the place has a lot of character. Lots of interesting art.
Cons -
- Honestly, there wasn’t anything I explicitly didn’t like. I would certainly stay here again.
- I initially booked the Standard King Room. Just so other people know: this room is quite small and the bed is pushed against the wall (so one person must crawl over the other one to get out of bed). For this reason, we switched to a different larger (more expensive) room.
- Price policy. If you decide to spontaneously add the full breakfast at the property it cost 3 times more than if you take it together with the room in booking (and then the quality is completely not in line with the requested price of 14 euro per person).Since it was so expensive for what it was proposed we just got a coffee and a cornetto. Everything was charged us double compared the prices we saw the day before on the official menu (which were aligned with Italian prices). Very strange.

Nice room, clean, parking, nice staff.

Everything was perfect, very friendly stuff, clean room, nice design of the hotel, perfect view on the lake, delicious breakfast
The Hotel exceeded my expectation by far.The dinner at the Restaurant was of high quality. The view to the Lake from the room another Highlight.I'll be back next year.
Lovely balcony - unfortunately for us the weather wasn't suitable for sitting outside during our 1 night stay. Dinner in the restaurant was very good value and the staff were great.
Quite tricky to find, the hotel entrance is to the side of the parking and not obvious. Some better signage would be helpful. Decor a little dated
FANTASTIC stay - tucked in the non-touristy area of Lake Como, our stay was absolutely magnificent. Facilities were remarkably clean, attached restaurant was incredibly delicious. Check-in and check-out were easy. Amazing view of the lake.
Difficult to reach with public transportation - we took the train and walked from Dorio station (~30 minutes along a major roadway) and left on the bus from Olgiasca stop to Colico (only runs 3x/day)
The place is really charming, the hostess is great, the room was big, clean and nice design and of course the balcony with a beautiful view of the lake :) Great place to stay while visiting Lake Como. Also, dinner at the hotel's restaurant was very good and tasty. Definitely will come back.
Room 11 with hottube: all brand new, high value equipment, kitchen, shower everything 100% perfect and a perfect breakfast.
Cosy hotel with top restaurant.
A bit far from Colico centre and at a steep road.
Nice lake sunset while enjoying dinner at the hotel restaurant. Great value.
No AirConditioning, but sleeping at night was still ok with with outside temperature cooling down and ventilator in room.
Amazing hotel, even though we arrived late the owner gave us something to eat because we were tired and hungry from travelling all day, the view is also amazing. The breakfast was really good and tasty, the hotel rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable to sleep in. The owner is super friendly and sweet, if you’re looking to sleep a peaceful night and wake up to an amazing view of the lake then i totally recommend this place.
Location, charming, the garden is amaising
A bit stressed staff
Balcony, lake view, room
The hotel is very clean and room had a great view and was spacious. A big compliment goes to the restaurant where excellent food was served in extremely generous portions.
The room was big and the view
The house contains drawings of naked girls not good for children to see .. and there are many things in it that make you feel that you are in an old house.
Rooms: great. Checked in, lovely warm welcome. Room was nice, great view, sort of grandma esque style, not my usual taste but works in this environment. It's in a very isolated location, and most people get here by car. It's a 30 minute walk from the Dorio train station
Resturant service for vegetarians: horrendous. Read below for details.I used this as a night refresh stop along a larger hiking trip. I was excited for dinner as the restaurant had excellent reviews . I sat down for dinner, ordered an Appetizer and a glass of wine.Scanning the menu I saw what seemed to be only 2 options for a main that were pasta and risotti. All the other pastas had meat and the other main options were meat or fish. The minimum order for pasta was 2 portions. I asked if it was possible if I could wait until another table ordered the veg option so I could join that order (since there are only 2 guys in the kitchen). Then I was informed that the risotto was not vegetarian. I was fine with waiting to see if anyone would order the pasta. It was at this time, I was informed of the other veg options. Only bruschetta, steamed vegetables or salad. I don't know about you, but after hiking 20km in the pouring rain, this is not enough to eat, especially at the price. The amount I would have to order to be full would be a heck of a lot and not worth the money to be left unsatisfied.I would have been happy eating any plain pasta that was prepared before added to butter at this point, but not an option. So I paid, which i had to wait while the women fully ignored me and unloaded rhe entire dishwasher, left and went back to my room to eat an apple, and bread with peanut butter. The next morning I just gave feedback that the stay was amazing, the food options for vegetarians are not great, and I thought it would be awesome if for future veg guests if they would have one main option.I was met with the resistance of a gale force winds. That the kitchen only had two people (true, never debated that). I was asked sarcastically if i have ever cooked before. Yup, I know the effort for risotto, but also how easy it is to plop spaghetti into hot water and drop in on a plate.
Large bathroomGood shower
Not being informed of building work which started at 7.30Terrible breakfast
The view from our room was amazing ?
The stuff members look at you like they saw aliens or something like that, they don’t speak English, only Italian.
