Pros +
- Our stay at La Marina Resort was absolutely fantastic! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The facilities, restaurants, and activities were all very well organized and incredibly entertaining. Honestly, you could spend your entire vacation inside the resort—it has everything you could possibly need!We really appreciated the thoughtful touches, like mid-stay cleaning and towel changes every 3–4 days. There are several restaurants, cafés, and shops on-site, offering great variety and all at very reasonable prices. The water parks were amazing! Our bungalow in the Bali Village zone was located right next to the Bali Pool, which had such a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. In one word — highly recommended! We’ll definitely be coming back to La Marina Resort.
- The water slides were absolutely amazing! My kids had so much fun, and we were lucky to have great weather during our stay. The only downside was that the pool water was a bit too cold.
- A lot of things, great concept. Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend it for people with kids.
Cons -
- Absolutely Nothing!
- Someone stole our kids’ toys, and apparently there are no cameras near the bungalow. Still, this is more like a people problem, however I just can’t understand how someone could steal from children.
- Knowing more about bad cellphone signal beforehand would have been good. Would have prepared more if i knew. Slight feeling that we we're missing out some activities being there in the beginning of the off-season. 9 night stay felt little too much as things became repetitive. Could not invite relatives that live in spain for a visit unless they would provide documentation and only stay for an hour or pay for a day pass. As an non spanish speakers it took some time getting to know the area and figure things out. The resort has so much to offer.

We booked this the day before when our original holiday was cancelled. We were just happy to be away but the site exceeded my expectations. The little cabin we stayed in was pristine, it felt like we were the first people ever to stay in there. Bathroom and shower much better than what you usually get in this type of unit. Fans and A/C brilliant, and blackout blinds also brilliant. The on site supermarket was very good and not overpriced like others can be. Pools and slides were great, my son stayed in the pool for hours at a timeWe didn't use the entertainments or on site restaurants but there is plenty about. If the weather's good you don't need to leave site, we hired a car and explored the area though.
Outdoor pools were cold ? Additional charge to use the indoor pool which was too high for us to justify for a 90 minute use.Beautiful walk down to the beach spoilt a bit by lots of dog walkers not picking up after their pets. This has nothing to do with the resort, just warning you to watch your step!
Location was near beach.
Need a proper cooker to make meals & had no toaster & had to ask for a kettle.
The pools were amazingConsum supermarket was helpful and greatly pricedFacilities/area was nice, clean and tidy
The staff couldn't help with booking excursionsThe taxi facilities in the area are bad, book in advance! Plus a lot of eateries were closed (October)
Outdoor pools were amazing albeit very cold but the children weren't bothered.Bungalow was clean but could do with an oven.
Staff were rude and unhelpful, I guess end of season and they have had enough,There was no evening entertainment, from 6pm on the resort was like a ghost town which was annoying as apparently it was fully booked, it certainly did look fully booked but everyone just had to retire to the bungalows or campervans. On the last day, we had to checkout at 12pm but in order to use the facilities on site, as our transfer wasn't picking us up until 7pm, we had to pay a whopping €70. After a couple of hours, the outdoor pool was not an option as it began it rain (it rained almost everyday for our stay late October) we then had to pay an additional €57 to use the indoor pool for 90 mins.Poolside towels are not provided so remember to bring your own. There is no oven in the bungalow just a hob and microwave. We made a big mistake in not hiring a car as the resort is very rural and there's nowhere to walk in the evenings (also worth mentioning the obvious presence of males outside the house, looked to be a building housing immigrants, on the first day there we had an unpleasant experience where we waiting for a bus and a fight broke out between approx 10 of them standing outside the resort, not nice for the children to witness)Overall I don't feel like it was an enjoyable resort, the weather certainly didn't help but I feel that could of been compensated with some entertainment that didn't include endless money for the very small arcade.
Great place for holidays with kids. Nice, private area around bungalow with barbecue spot.
Everything we needed was there
There wasn't much else in the area. Train to beach only ran at weekends as we went end of Sept
lovely clean and well maintained facilities and bungalows
lots of extra charge for things. staff often slightly grumpy, no English (that's why I chose a holiday resort and no private accommodation)
All good, clean, well organised .
Bungalow is looking a bit tired and a bit expensive but we were not there to use all the facilities forKids. Having previously done so very good
Everything was fantastic can highly recommend, the cabin was clean, large and luxurious
Fantastic location & facilities. Something for all ages. Very clean areas and very comfortable accommodation with air conditioning in every room.
Lovely bungalows, clean facilities, fun waterpark, beach was great
The selection of restaurants/food was abit limited, got abit too similar taste after some days.. the prices was okey
Great place for kids. We had a Bali bungalow, and it was very spacious. Everywhere was extremely clean. Slides and pools were very suitable for my children ages 6 and 8. Will definitely go back. Check out the takeaway at the supermarket where you can pre-order food from a menu and pick it up a few hours later to have it in the comfort of your bungalow. Staff very helpful if they couldn't speak english they got a menber of staff who could. Spa was also very reasonably priced and plenty of choice. There are plenty of activities for the kids, too, at the kids' club.
Great water park with something for all ages, and plenty of sunbeds etc. Children feel very welcome, and the family vibe is very positive and safe. Bungalow was great -- clean and reasonably spacious, with good kitchen facilities. Onsite supermarket was cheaply priced with everything you need. Plenty of staff available in reception if you need anything, and staff are welcoming and friendly. Plenty of entertainment if you have little ones -- live music, dinosaur golf, a dolphin mascot at the buffet breakfast, water slides, and so on.
The nature of the resort means that you have to buy everything after you use the initial small complimentary shampoo etc. No bedding changes in a week. If you want guests to visit you, as the bungalows are in the resort the guests must pay 18 EUR each, even if coming after the pools are closed. If near the Bali pool, there is a live DJ on Friday until midnight -- not great if you are staying next to the pool and have young children. Location is a little remote.
It catered for all of us. The kids were entertained which meant we could all relax and enjoy ourselves. Bali pool was lovely for adults to get a bit of chill time away from busy pools with slides. Loved the aqua aerobic sessions. Instructors highly motivated, energetic and fun. Cocktails were yum!
Staff could have been more informed about what was happening in Alicante. We went into Alicante but couldn't get parking as there was a festival on. Would have gone another evening if we had known..Could have advertised better what activities were on site
Exceptional facilities for familiesBungalow was spacious, well equipped and with great outdoor cooking area
We stayed for eight nights and our bungalow was cleaned, bins emptied etc on day 2 but then not again for the whole stay?!
pools were great accommodation was good, shops had reasonable prices.
Wasn’t fully open yet so restaurants weren’t all open
Bulgalow, pools, animators, supermarket on the spot
dogs are allowed in camp site, train to beach only on weekends
