Hotel ORA Lakeview bei Interlaken

The view.

No air-conditioning, paper-thin walls so you could hear your neighbors, tiny rooms. A total rip-off.

Room was ok. The view of the lake is great (but there is nothing else to do around).

It is more of a guest house than a hotel. We were the only guests and the staff seemed to still be figuring out how to run a hotel. The lady who received us (wearing face mask) was very kind, but guy who seemed to be the new owner was not very nice.

Location.

Great scenic view. Super friendly staff. Has private kitchen to make food if needed. Very convenient location for boat and train ride!

No AC. But it is bearable during my stay. It might be difficult during July/Aug.

No air conditioning and no elevator!

Our room with a lake view was nice. On the basement floor the view is a little obstructed by the housing though. The lady at the front desk was very attentive, cheerful and helpful. She was particularly helpful at breakfast. The close proximity to the lake beach was great and it's a quiet place.

The shower curtain is too long and plugs up the drain and is overall a hassle to deal with. There were no hand towels provided. No floor shower mat provided. No outlets in bathroom or counter space for curling iron or makeup. No gluten free options for bread items. It would have been nice to have gluten free bread available. It's not difficult to have a loaf of bread or a muffin available (since it can be frozen) and it seemed like other hotels we stayed at had this option. I didn't realize that this was a smoking hotel (someone else booked it). So having to inhale smoke in the basement hallway (for a brief period) that one day (we stayed 4 nights) was not pleasant. If I had realized that it was a hotel that allowed smoking, I would not have booked it. (Obviously, this is not the hotel's fault). I was pleasantly surprised though that I only smelled cigarette smoke that one time. It's also too isolated for my liking. We needed to take a train to go eat or do anything. The train came once an hour. So, we did not have easy access to grocery stores or restaurants.

Amazing staff and great view. I recommand having the breakfast there.

It was relatively inexpensive compared to other hotels.

No elevator, no air conditioning. The room was rather warm and had a small oscillating fan. Included Breakfast wasn’t very good.

It would be nice if there was a way to chill a bottle of wine.

Room and views are amazing. You will have a direct view of the lake next to mountain. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorate. Breakfast includes a verities of options. The lady is super nice and kind to the kids.

There is no restaurant near by. You will have to take a 10 mins train to Interlaken main station for dinner. Otherwise for the living its an amazing place to live in.

There was black mold in the shower and on the ceiling of the bathroom. The towels smelled like someone worked out and wiped off the sweat with them. When we booked originally, it was said there was breakfast and when we asked, the attendant said that breakfast was “out of season” (breakfast has a season?).

The view of the lake was incredible! As it was off season, there was few guests and almost no noise, even from the outside. The room is exactly as the photos, comfortable and the heating worked well. The receptionist was very friendly and even helped us take the snow out of our car in the morning.

When we booked, it said that there was breakfast included. At check-in we were informed that the breakfast is only until October. Besides, we could always hear when the room above us was showering, so I imagine that when full, there must be more noise. There are a lot of ‘rules’ that you can be fined for not following (photo attached)

Might give this one a skip, train to interlaken comes every hour so be mindful of that

Definitely not worth the money and what’s it veing portrayed as just cause of the lake view. Rooms are really small, bathrooms even smaller and what remains from that smaller area comes up as the tiny shower.

they require your passport and make a copy but won’t return the copy to you at the end. this is not a safe process as far as identity protection.

Perfect, stunning views of lake and mountains from the balconies.Very friendly, caring staff. Special thanks to lady taking care of the restaurant, she made our stay so comfortable.

Rooms and washrooms are bit old and basic facilities, though these shall not overshadow the serenity and views of the Hotel.

My husband, dog, and I had a lovely time. The hotel is in an excellent location - very calm, with an amazing view from the balcony. Such a serene place!The staff were very kind. The breakfast was good and filling.The price is reasonable, especially considering the pleasant view, included breakfast, and the short walk to the train station.The train station is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel, and the ride to Interlaken Ost takes about 6 minutes.

What I liked about the place was the location. I love the view from our room which is the Brienz Lake. About 3 minute walk to Niederried train station (uphill/downhill), close to boat station about 8 minute walk. Train is 2nd stop from Interlaken Ost, boat trip across Iseltwald.

The room that we were assigned to was decent. Needs some fixing on the floor just before the door on the bathroom. Tiny room but manageable, same as the walk in shower. Needs improvement but overall ok.

the view was amazing !! absolutely fabulous. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The brekky was really lovely too.

That there was no airconditioning (we hadn't known that until we got there ) and it was soooo hot and hard to sleep of a night. There was no lift also which made it challenging to get the bags up to the top floor and we thought there was a restaurant on site or nearby and unfortunately there wasn't so we had to go into Interlaken of an evening for dinner.

We had two nights there but it wasn’t the best. The location is alright if you drive. Room and hotel are old and facility is quite out-dated specially in the bathroom. Water tape is such a surprise. The bathroom is really dark and equipped with a black shower certain that it’s not making sense for us, I made every shower faster as I don’t want to stay inside. Bed sheet and quilt have stains which is quite bad.
