Very friendly staff from reception and restaurant. Beautiful hotel and very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Also very good value.
Great location, good breakfast, and friendly staff. The hotel has maintained a historic feel, but has modern bathrooms and amenities (kettle and coffee in the room).
The hotel has a beautiful historic building with a charming atmosphere. The location is excellent, right in the center of Meiringen, with easy access to attractions and stunning mountain views. The breakfast was varied and enjoyable.
There was nothing we didn’t like. Everything met or exceeded our expectations.
The manager did not allow even 30 mins extension for check out time, we had to amend our plans because of this.Considering check in time is 4 pm and check out time is 11 am, 30 mins should be allowed for genuine cases.
Specious rooms- we had two with connecting doors. One was more renovated than the other but both were really nice. The hotel offers 20% discount in the bar downstairs which is nice.Hotel has parking for free. Staff members were nice and helping out.
It was hot in the room only at night when you open the windows you get a cool breeze.
Staff was nice. Had the pub in basement which was convenient.
The room didn’t have Air Conditioning.. it was hot. Even with windows open. Then with windows open I heard all commotion in streets.
Parkhotel du Savage is a beautiful property with a friendly and helpful staff. I was given a complimentary upgrade and the room was amazing. Balcony and all windows opened and provided a view of the mountains and the lovely grounds. The bathtub had a huge tub. The breakfast buffet was delicious and filling. I would definitely choose this property again!
For sure not the top, but normal. Quite good service, good breakfast, comfortable beds.
Quite old. Not only old-fashioned. Maybe for those who like pseudo gold it is great, but...Yep, service could be better, maybe not enough people works?
This is a old school fancy hotel but the rooms are fully updated and very nice. The view from our room was extraordinary. Our room was large, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom included a big tub. The breakfast was also excellent. There was also a secure bike room.
The WiFi was semi-lousy with random disconnections and reconnections. We waited quite awhile for someone to materialize at the front desk for check-in.
The location is great right in the center of town. Great shopping and restaurants around as well as train station. Breakfast was good,
I am a bit disappointed with this hotel. It certainly looks better in pictures at least from outside. Interior is dated and needs some work. The balcony door ( very old) was very drafty so even with the radiator turn up to max it was still cool. The room was OK size wise but was lacking some basic things like a trash can. The beds were not very comfortable and i noticed bulbs missing in the light fixture so it made the room very dimmed. Bathroom shower was stupid small and of, course water going all over. Bathroom by the way is not heated, and you can hear next door neighbor flushing toilet. I wish they would advertise more local attractions. Overall, i was expecting more, definitely not worth the money.
Parkhotel du Sauvage offers a truly unique experience that stands out. The friendly and helpful team goes above and beyond to ensure every guest feels welcome and cared for. Their hospitality adds a personal touch, making the stay even more memorable. The hotel is charming, blending a rich history with modern comfort.
I really appreciate the attention to detail in the room. The breakfast was great. They even had meringues as Meiringen is the birth place of this sweet. The hotel is centrally located and convenient if you travel by car or public transport.
The property exceeded my expectations with its beautiful design and historical atmosphere, filled with antiques and charming details. Just walking through the corridors was a lovely experience, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like; everything added to the charm and overall experience.
It was relatively clean and quiet. Breakfast was fine. The shower and hot water were fine.
The staff were not helpful and kept us waiting to check in for a long time because they weren’t able to use the computer. Incredibly dated, run down. Bed/mattress very poor quality and bedding not nice. Overall it was probably the worst place we stayed during our trip.
Central location, easily reachableHotel with charm, although 'vintage', hotel is comfortableDog welcome :)Don't forget charging adapter (Swiss), else one can be bought at receptionCharging station available for electric cars (first hour is free)Free parkingTop breakfast buffet with wide variety of dishesPub adjacent to hotel, handy for drink and/or foodNice surprise : as guest we received a 'Guest pass' which enables free public transportation, first leg free on cable car and also discounts on local activitiesHome of Sherlock HolmesFor aviation geeks, around 9am is the first sortie, you can hear out loud the F18 ..
Not a showstopper but bathroom could use an update (plastic curtain replaced by glass, curtain for WC privacy from outdoor should be ticker)

I booked and was confirmed via email. Then they canceld and I was charged twice. They say it is Booking.com and they cant do anything. I would like to be refunded
Lovely hotel with friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Beautiful old building with lots of character.
Nice location, good room, great bed and couch, beautiful building.
The personnel, the receptionist was not very nice and we had an incident with water leakage from the above neighbors which was not handled well. I would have expected more for such a hotel and price.
