Room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was attentive and helpful. Dinner was very good. Location was perfect as we were driving and wanted to be in the old town, but have parking.

The location was great. The room was spotless. The reception desk staff were professional and courteous.

The waiter in the restaurant was rude and not very helpful. One member of our party has food allergy issues and the waiter could not be bothered to explain the ingredients for the various dishes.

Small room, very cold, broken shower, breakfast was very underwhelming (eggs had to be cooked by one‘s self, cold cuts were starting to turn grey).

Breakfast was superb. The variety and quality was excellent and the views from the breakfast area were spectacular. Best breakfast of our holiday (across multiple accommodations).

The entire staff was very helpful, especially Ricardo. It was a very pleasant stay and our room view was amazing.

We have the most awful time at this hotel. The receptionist never left out the keys when we arrived late so we had no room for the night. I expect a full refund or I am going to trip advisor and i will also look for a charge back on my credit card.I had important meetings the following day and I could hardly stay awake. This was appalling and I will certainly be rating this hotel very poorly

Hotel smack in the middle of the old town with a great view over the lake. We came for the light festival, so it was great to be in the center and in walking distance to everything. The room was quiet and we managed to get one of the free parking spots in front of the door. Very friendly welcome, nice touch to have a free drink and a tea/coffee station available for guests. Everything was clean and the breakfast was good as well.

We stayed in the Junior Suite and I would not really call this a Suite... rather a superior room. Also the pictures on booking are a bit misleading because there seems to be a mix of different rooms of varying sizes. We had a normally sized room plus a space with a seating area, plus a nice terrace. We were travelling with a small baby so we had hoped to maybe put our sun in a seperate space in the room but the baby bed did not fit through the door so in the end it was a bit more crammed than we had hoped. For 2 people the room is certainly very spaceous though.

The breakfast was wonderful - the buffet and the view over the lake. The location of the hotel is fantastic, too - located at the entrance of the old city centre, and just a 5 minute walk from both the train station and the lake.

The mattresses were very hard and therefore for me not too comfortable. The bathroom was quite old with a corner shower with a shower curtain which only covered half the shower, so that the bathroom floor was very wet after every shower, no matter how carefully we tried to shower.

Wonderful location, charming rooms, welcoming staff, and view of the lake. We had a wonderful stay in the romantic gateway.

In the summer the restaurant is using outside space and the sound comes up easily to the rooms. So don't expect to get to sleep too early.
