Hotel & Restaurant Rössli

Restaurant is quite good foods and drink.Near lake and quiet place. Scenery is nice.

On summer time, room was hot when check in around 9pm.Better to open window before in room because only fan not aircon.

My wife and I recently stayed 3 nights at the Hotel & Restaurant Rossli in Stansstad. The room was large in size and very clean. We chose to stay in Stansstad because of its location and small town feel. It's a short train ride into Lucerne and there is even a ferry which docks really close to the hotel. We only ate at the restaurant one night and our meal was excellent. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel.

During our stay there was a lot of construction going on outside the hotel. Of course this was not their fault and they even notified us in advance.

The staff was friendly.

No AC, minimal parking, needs remodeling.

Quiet hotel within walking distance from train station. A Lovely location and helpful staff. Dinner was amazing food - very tasty and reasonably priced. Breakfast was continental style. Stayed one night. Very large modern nice room and openable windows for fresh air and patio area. Water available in the room.

Nothing at all.

The room was lovely, modern bathroom, constant hot water.The towels were changed frequently and the room cleaned.A wonderful balconyBottled water was provided.I was grateful my bedroom had a ceiling fan, I don't believe all of the rooms have them , standing fans are provided.The hotel owners went that extra mile to make sure you were comfortable and had everything you neededAll of the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Lack of a kettle - however, you could always go to the bar/ restaurant for a hot drink.Not the hotel at fault,but a lot of noise early on from 5:40 from neighbours.

nothing to dislike

This place is in a perfect locations, we stayed for 3 nights and it was easy to walk around and the public transport is awesome.

Very bright rooms and the separate seating area and bed is nice. There is no aircon but lots of windows to open so that's good also. The location is great and a few minute walk from the station and the lake and a few very nice restaurants within a 10 minutr walk.Staff are very friendly and helpful!

A small Improvement might be to have a few more things in the bathroom like separate shower gel and shampoo. However a very minor issue!

No elevator. No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Not even water boiler.

Nothing much

No desk in the room, no hooks in room or bathroom. The breakfast was awful. A cold hard boiled egg was on offer but we would have to pay 5 Swiss Francd extra for a soft boiled or fried egg. The ‘seasonal salad’ at 11 Francs consisted of iceberg lettuce, 2 cherry tomatoes ans a dressing of salad cream!

Nice, quiet location. Modern and clean room, nothing special. Overall it seemed to be overpriced.

Free wifi did not work. The hotel stuff tried to help, but they were not professional.

Not enough. Nothing in room. No coffee no tea . No electric kettle.but you can go to the bar. Supermarket beside hotel.

The room was bigger than our living room. We booked a double room for us and our 6 year old, but the bed was big enough for almost 4 people. So for just one night it's totally fine. The room looked completely new and even smelled new. The balcony with sight on the water was nice as well

The blankets were half the size of the bed. So one person didn't have any, or your feet weren't covered

They charged for kids (extra bed and cot) even thou on booking.com they claim kids stay for free

disappointing

owners are dishonest - they charged us 50CH per dog per night claiming that it would take a lot additional cleaning. we showed them special crevice dog certificates for our small dogs, but this did not have effect. we discovered that other local hotels charged 20-25 CH additional for dogs. they also claimed that we did not mention dogs when we booked a room . hotel description indicated that property is pet friendly, and we did not mentioned our(same) gods in tge reservation when we stayed in this hotel two years ago.I do not recall that they charged same outrageous amount fir dogs.we will no stay in this hotel any more and do not recommend that other travelers do ! there are bunch of good hotels around may be not in Stansstad, but in Hergiswil for sure
