Breakfast was very good with excellent bread and local cheeses.

I liked everything. I can see that during hot days, rooms might get uncomfortable, especially top floor, as there is no Airconditioning.

We booked this hotel last minute after we had an issue at a previous location. Maya at the front desk was wonderful, staying late until we found it after getting lost - she was very accommodating and even called a local restaurant to find out if they would be open for a late night meal. This seems to be a great location for hikers and day trips into Lucerne - we will be visiting again and staying more than just one night!

There was not one thing we didn’t like, however the hotel manager should verify the directions link on Booking.com. I copied that link and it took us to a dead end road on the top of the mountain about 2km from the hotel. Probably a beautiful sight - just not at 9pm in the dark!

Nice place at the countryside. Good starting pont for hiking. And the restaurant (inside) is on the same level as a Michelin star restaurant. Just perfect.

Room basic but with fancy lighting and usb fittings ( which is great because we didn’t realise we needed a different travel plug for Switzerland ) staff were lovely and friendly making sure we could park our motorbike safely. Bed comfortable. Pizza lovely but pricey same as bottle of red wine we had.

A bit over priced compared to the other hotels we’ve stayed in this trip. Thought meal and drink very overpriced. 2pizza 1 small bowl salad and a bottle of water and a bottle of red wine for €109.00. Didn’t like the smell of the hand wash in bathroom ( but that’s not a fault of hotel)

The staff and locals were very nice, despite speaking with each other in different languages. The parking was free and safe. The location is out of a story book.

The reception hours are short. There was no fridge, And with everything closing Early, getting cold wares was hard

Restaurant and breakfast were good

Room was depressing, small, bare, stained floor, no facilities such as coffee machine or fridge.Noise from the busy road. Noise at 3-4 am from from a bunch of rowdy guys banging on doors, and no intervention from hotel management.Definitely overpriced.

Cozy loft interiors. Warm and fluffy blankets that saved a cold room situation. Thermostat in the shower. There are 4 free parking spots in the backyard and dedicated parking with many spots across the street.

We got a very cold room (number 7). We did not bother to ask for the room replacement as we were tired after the day of driving from France. The room was in a corner of a building, so two walls were external. The water based heating radiator was turned off when we arrived. It was 19,3°C from the start. (We carry a hygrometer/thermometer with us as we are sensitive to temperature and humidity). The radiator was not properly air expunged and water could not circulate properly. Only half of the radiator was warm even at the maximum thermostat setting. The water produced constant, unpleasant and noticeable noise. In the morning the temperature in the room got to 20,6°. That was still cold.

It is very cozy and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was fantastic: a very rustic, cozy breakfast room with an actual hearth fire going. There was plenty of choice for food too - especially in delicious local cheeses.

The white curtains do not keep streetlights out at all: sleep mask is absolutely required.

This place really surprised me. It's an old building with a lot of character, but with fully modern renovation. The room is simple, but clean and comfortable. The food at the restaurant is exceptional. The staff is very warm and welcoming. Also it's the first time I saw a breakfast buffet with a cozy fire burning in the fireplace (at 6:30 in the morning, such a nice touch).

Unassuming from the outside - dont let that put you off....this is a superb hotel, staff were fantastic, food on an evening was also very good...the pizza's were superb

Large parking in front of the hotel, nice staff, amazing restaurant. Everything looks new/modern.

The online check in and check out process

Old property, windows jammed, could not close properly resulting in room getting cold all night. The room does not have water heater, no heating facility, there was too much dust and dirt accumulated in every corner of the room which was trying to hide against the dark coloured flooring. The staff at reception was exceptionally impolite. The rooms on first floor and one needs to carry heavy bags upstairs as they do not have a lift. The room cleaning was only done once during stay of 3 nights. Not a good memory of this stay. We were not expecting 5 star hotel standards but according to me this hotel lacks what a 3 star hotel should have based on common facilities, cleanliness and hospitality standards worldwide.
