Hotel was clean and very typical for a European hotel. Hotel staff was very helpful and nice. Check-in was self service as the staff in not present 24x7, however this was not a problem.

The staff was not always available and the room and bed were small, but this may be the best hotel in the area.

Small room with small beds, but it may have been the best possible choice on this area.

Cozy, convenient location. Free juice. Good breakfast.

I never got the code to unlock the box for my keys. It was only because I ran into the staff that I was able to finally get them.

Location, breakfast, and enthusiasm of the owner Denny we’re all fantastic! Denny is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and you can tell that he loves what he does and takes much pride in the Hotel.

We liked everything about the property

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights in mid-June as it was conveniently located for our planned hikes - about a 25-minute walk to the Sargans train station and a nearby stop for a bus direct to the station if we didn't care for the walk. The rooms were quite large and very clean. But it was the exceptional hospitality of the staff that really recommends staying here. It will definitely be our first choice the next time we're staying in Heidiland.

The owner of the hotel was very pleasant and super helpful. The bed was the most comfortable we slept in during our 2 weeks in Switzerland. Breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay here again!

A little difficult to get in and out of the very tall tub to shower

The breakfast was delicious and Danny the manager is a very thoughtful and helpful host.

Receiving the entrance code the day before would have helped since we were traveling all day and didn’t have access to internet. We were grateful to another guest who arrived and called the manager for our code to get in.

There is all you need in the hotel. Nice service cares about clients in the hotel.Quiet place in a nice center of small town.

I was not lucky that the restaurant next to the hotel was closed due to winter holidays but I managed to dine somewhere else - it was really no issue.

The location is great. The self check in was very easy, provided e-mail could be read. Breakfast satisfactory. Free parking.

The bathroom was a bit small in the sink area. No barrier on the floor between the shower that and the rest of the bathroom.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and cozy and the atmosphere was overall very nice.

Its not very well connected to public transport if you come without car. Buses dont go that frequently so you need to plan ahead, which was ok though.Our room was above the bar, which made it difficult to sleep before the bar closed. After a long day of hiking, that was not ideal.

Very nice, accommodating host. It was a bit difficult to find the hotel, but after that everything worked fine. Quiet small town, good food near the hotel. A good night's sleep before we continued on towards Italy.

The hotel is in the center of Mels, yet in a quiet location. Danny, the host is very nice, available anytime if needed. The breakfast was delicious, Danny brings the pastries fresh from the nearby bakery. The available garage is nearby and included in the price.

It's a small thing, but the safe built into the closet is on the bottom shelf, so it's difficult to use.

Close to the bus stop in Mels- get bus at Sargans station, 15 mins to Mels Post bus stop. Easy check in if arriving after hours using code to get the key, nice breakfast, attentive host, nice pine decor, very clean room and bathroom, quiet.

A kettle in the room to make yourself a tea or coffee would be really welcome, especially if you arrive late and don't want to go out again.

The stay was super easy. Check-in went well. The room was as promised. The breakfast was great. All was good, The location is great and it is a good spot to stay.

The were several nice things about this hotel. I loved the look of all the wood in the room, it was really nice. There was a very good breakfast in the morning which included some cheese, meats, bread, and coffee. The hotel manager was super nice and even waited a bit late for us to show up after 1900 since we got stuck in some traffic on the way there. There is also an excellent Asian cuisine restaurant attached to the hotel on the reception level, we really like the food and convenience after a long journey.

I really have to search for something bad about it because there isn’t much to dislike. I didn’t really like the shower since it is not an enclosed cabin and water gets everywhere but that is not a real problem anyways since I put the towel down.

Very unusual since there was no reception. But check in went well. The room was nice wit a huge bathroom. Everything was very quiet.There is an excellent Asian restaurant attached to the hotel.

Location

Breakfast was very basic. Very nice Service, but the Coffee from a padmachine. It was very hot in the Summer, even in night the house/room was very hot. only a little fan was provided. For this price i would expect more effort for cooling or even an AC.
