The location and the "mountain" atmosphere. The staff has been friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking spots available, as well as indoor activities (fitness room, pool tables, chess, toys room, sauna, bars).Plenty of small water bottles in the room, and Kägi chocolate for every guest.

The rooms would need some renovation and the beds are not among the most comfy ones I've found in mountain hotels.The restaurant has good options, however I find 12.50 CHF for a bottle of water an outrageous price.

Location is good, quiet area less than 5 min from bus stop and the landscape is lovely. It's a typical Swiss hotel, rooms are a bit outdated but are comfortable and have everything needed. Breakfast is standard but of good quality. There is a restaurant in the hotel with vegetarian options.

The reception is only available on main hours. We arrived at 19 hs and were checked in by the restaurant personnel, which would have been totally fine but we didn't get any information at all. Only the key and that was all. We realized too late that we could have gotten a public transport pass for free with our stay. It would have been nice to get this briefing during check in.The cleaning of the rooms seems to happen at random, we stayed 4 nights and our room was only cleaned once, even when we left the cleaning room sign on the door.

Perfectly located hotel. The Chaserrugg cable car is opposite the hotel, about 3-4 minutes walk away. The Thun waterfall is a 10 minute walk away and there are countless other wonderful hiking destinations to explore from here. If you arrive by public transport, the bus stops a few minutes from the hotel. The staff are helpful and have a solution for everything. Breakfast is simple but you can find everything here.

The rooms at the front of the building are very noisy: there are two roads in front of the building and the hills reflect the sound, so they make the noise louder. Personally, I would have preferred more frequent cleaning.

I could not stay longer. The charm was the situation of the hotel with the fore Alps all around and in the background the Churfirsten mountains. I can imagine that such a charming Hotel sitting in the alps must be a jewel in the winter season.

We had a very brief stay here, just the one night. Didn’t have time for breakfast or anything else really. Room was cosy, very comfortable and did exactly what we wanted. Very reasonably priced too.

Central location for hiking in the area

Breakfast was good quality food and a good selection but the presentation of the breakfast buffet needs improvement.

Waitress with smile on the face on the restaurant was very kind and helpful. We departed to the hotel when restaurant kitchen were closed but She organized a Lambkuchen for us. We have staied on Sternen 2 times on this year. Both times we enjoined to play pool on the lobby.

1 ball was missing on the pool table.

Good location and only 2 min drive from the slopes. There is also a cable car few meters away from the Hotel. A nice selection of recreation facilities (billiard, piano, chess, kids cinema etc). Lobby and play area nicely decorated. Friendly and service oriented staff but seemed all of them under stress

The Hotel seemed understaffed as there were only few employees around. We felt the absence of the staff especially during the breakfast as there was only 1 lady trying to manage everything alone (we couldn't find a clean table from the morning guests, some foods and drinks were finished and we had to ask for refill etc). Also during the night there was nobody at the bar and reception. One would expect that for this hotel size staff should be available at each post. Rooms are clean and ok but need some renovation. Also the carpet at the corridor was quite worn out and would need replacement
