A very welcoming and beautifully manicured hotel that had everything you need for a family lakeside holiday. The location directly across from a beach for swimming and a wonderful playground for the kids made it an easy and relaxing stay for our family. There was ample parking, no additional reservation required. Breakfast was beautiful, tasty and varied. We made use of the life vests for children and the SUP boards. There were wonderful quality restaurants with a lake view within walking distance and staff was very welcoming and helpful.

The eye for detail and level of service I received. The history behind the property and preservation. Feeling the old yet with a modern touch. Right by the lake with a beautiful atmosphere.

The hotel has no restaurant. It is quite difficult to make a dinner reservation at nearby establishments. Little availability.

Thank you Amtshof team, we very much enjoyed our stay at your hotel and the friendly service provided. We especially liked the spacious room, the breakfast buffet, the SUP boards we could use and the proximity to the lake and the village center. We highly recommend this hotel!

Although the wooden bathtub was very nice, a separate shower would have been practical.

This hotel is perfect for your family or a couples getaway! It is directly in front of the lake, where you could see swimmers jumping in everyday. There is a park right in front of the hotel that is perfect for the little ones. On site, there are cute games that kept my 2 year old busy while we had drinks or snacks in the outdoor seating area: ping pong, soccer balls, etc. There is a separate grassy seating area with a large swing for 2 adults, lounge chairs with umbrellas where you can relax with a drink or snack. They have paddle boards and life vests available to take to the lake if you wish. This place was relaxation at it's finest! The two brothers who own the property are beyond amazing! I cannot say enough good things about them. They are always available and willing to help. They were so kind and accommodating. Anything we asked or asked for, they provided! I would highly recommend staying at their place! The breakfast was set up so beautifully. They had a variety of good foods everyday and had bacon and eggs available to order. The location in this town was amazing! Other larger cities around the lake are very touristy. This location was quaint and relaxing, with plenty of restaurants and sites to see, but not overcrowded. It was also easy access to take the ferry boat or train to other cities around the lake.

The electronic keys for the rooms were somewhat strange to use.

Amazing refurbished 400 year old farm. Truly an amazing place and location. Place is run by Johannes, his brother and father who are always there with the best attitude and extremely nice

Location right next to the Bodensee, spacious & peaceful suite, friendly owners & lovely breakfast.

Only one small thing - not enough armchairs for 4 people in the suite.

Great location, easy walk to restaurants. Welcome drink a real plus and a lift.

We liked everything

The Staff is very kind, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is super tasty, fresh, has everything required, local specialties. Room is nice, big, clean & fresh. Great soaps ?Location is quiet, central, just close by the lake.Atmosphere is so peaceful!!!!

An extraordinary experience. Located in an old Riegelhaus right by the lake. The young staff who run the place are very competent and friendly. The breakfast is amazing with fresh bread, cold cuts and home made jams that were delicious. We would stay here again anytime. The availability of stand up paddle boards, ping pong table and free EV charging were also much appreciated.

Everything was perfect. Stephan (the owner) and his sons are amazing hosts. They were always pending everything would be perfect and everything was perfect.Then the hotel itself is a gem. Splendid views over lake Costanza (Bodemsee) and very large and cozy room with an interesting decoration with emphasis on sustainability.Last not least, a wonderful breakfast in a very nicely decorated dining room.

Unfortunately the Wifi connection was not good enough for video meetings for work. Additionally it has been very hot these days and without an Air condition quite warm..

Outstanding attention from the staff who all spoke exceptional English when our ‘ German’ faultered. Within 100m of the shoreline with free use of hotel paddle boards. Great breakfast on a beautiful terrace across from the shore. Room very clean with everything you need. Langenargen has plenty of restaurants but you need to book on weekends and high season.,we travelled by train, really easy and close to the station.

Great atmosphere. Here you feel like at home. Owners of the hotel are actively involved in the management of the hotel and help a lot in building this atmosphere. Great service. One of the best breakfasts we had in the hotels. Very convenient location. Clean and cozy.

Personal - amazing. That all are so beautiful people. So warm and welcoming.Sleeping quality - spectacular.Also I like the soap, shampoo and other stuff.Breakfast - fantastic! So tasty and local! I would come back just for it!Good that we had fridge in the room.

First - in family room layout is so strange. It's family room but you have open transparent shower on second floor. Also toilet on the 1st floor and if you need to go there at night - it's dangerous cause ladder is steep.Soft chairs/sofas on 1st floor - have 90 degree angle. Uncomfortable to sit.Also - the bed small lights located right next to your head. And it's Sharp metallic angle. I think it's just unsafe.Another thing. In our room one side of plug and light near the bed wasn't working. Owner couldn't do anything.As well it was some kind of switch on the wall. When I asked"what is it?" Owner couldn't answer.One day also was no electricity so we need to go up without elevator and they once again up by ladder in the room.One more thing - the family room in under the ceiling - so all windows are small and rooms are dark.

Breakfast and location were great.

Confidence that stored bicycles were safe (as we’ve had bikes stolen before on holiday, so we were nervous).
