    • A nice 5star hotel.as.it should.be
    • Very nice bar Good location Friendly staff
    • Most beautiful 16th century structure and out room on top floor with a terrace was small but amazing with the outdoor terrace and view! Classy and well appointed and perfect location between the centre ville, the marina and restaurants and the beach. 5 minutes in any direction. The pool was exceptional!

    Cons -

    • Plenty of Military cars driving very early down the road an woke us both nights up. Maybe the hotel management can arrange them.driving a detour or starting later, at 3 o clock in the morning its not necessary to wake the guests if there is no war.......
    • Restaurant menu with limited choises
    • Our AC didn’t work. It was VERY hot in our room. A front desk attendant came to our room and said it was working just fine. I asked for another room and she said they were sold out. Upon checking out in the morning I mentioned the AC issue and the new attendant said I should hand asked for a new room. I mentioned ruined that they were sold out and she said they were NOT! To say the least, I wasn’t impressed either the lack of communication and neglect to solve the issue

Staff were absolutely lovely at all times. Friendly and very helpful even when we asked to change room. Pool was good - very clean.

Location is close to beach and walking distance to town but on a corner on a hill so traffic noise is really bad from about 5am when street clean machine arrives to 11pm when motorbikes might stop if you’re lucky. Seaview rooms worst affected. Very strange interior decor in entrance, lounges, dining room - diamanté gorillas, mirrors everywhere and aggressive, sexualised art. Lots of bright overhead lighting. Dining room felt like a motorway service station. Terrible carpet in hall and stairs. Strange wedding photos in corridors on third floor.

Wonderfully renovated historic building. Superb location Great pool. Very accommodating staff

Good location to walk into Calvi. Secure carpark. Restaurant with high standard of cuisine.

Very small bedroom and en suite. Some traffic noise. Limited Dinner menu, not a problem for our one night stay but would be for any longer. Didn’t acknowledge our Wedding Anniversary noted on booking.

The outdoor area, including the pool area were very tastefully presented. The staff were very nice. Yasmine at reception and Kelly in the bar area, were very helpful & friendly.

We booked two rooms at Hotel L’Abbey for a four-night stay—one for my husband and me, and one for our three daughters. On the first morning, my daughters mentioned they had trouble sleeping due to stifling heat in their room (room 116). I checked the room myself and was shocked to find it over 25°C.I reported the issue to reception, but was told it couldn’t be addressed until the following day. I asked for an alternative room in the meantime but was offered only a suite—with a price difference we would have to pay, despite the fault being theirs. So basically we were being charged for their faulty air conditioner! I asked the receptionist to visit the room, which she did. She agreed it was very hot and was sympathetic, but clearly unable to help further. She was under instruction from management. When I requested to speak to the manager or owner, I was handed a business card with a general email. I wrote to them on the second night of our stay but never received a response. Furthermore no one ever came to fix the air conditioning. A very poor reflection on the hotel’s customer service, stemming from management. In addition, the staff were not allowed to serve a free carafe of tap water, ‘une carafe d’eau’—something that is legally required in France. This is the only place I’ve experienced this in the country and not only is it in breach of the law, it is unacceptable.Having seen the tone of management’s replies to previous negative reviews, I won’t be surprised if this is met with a defensive or dismissive response.

This place is a slice of heaven. I would come back here in a flash. Beautiful amenities, clean room, wonderful staff, location Divine, pool facilities divine.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming hotel, which was once an old abbey and is now beautifully restored. The location is perfect—peaceful yet just a short walk to town. The pool area was lovely, and the breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious. A special thanks to Kelly, who was incredibly sweet and helpful throughout our stay.

    Everything was fantastic.

    Great location. Nice pool.

Air conditioning wasn’t very effective and more than once dripped water into the room

    Location

The shower wasn’t draining properly – I had to have someone come over three times to check it, but in the end there was no solution. So I had to take short showers with low water flow to avoid flooding the bathroom.+ No closet to store clothes, only a cramped hanging rail.

Beautiful! Great location and patio looking over the port. Close to restaurants and shops!

Gym rather small, breakfast is rather disapointing

Beautiful historic building. Really helpful friendly staff. Heated pool was great.

The room was quite small. Very little room to manoeuvre around the room with 2 suit cases.

Lovely hotel, a really good location. Room was superb and swimming pool such a nice tray at the end of a hot day.

Nothing to not like about this place.

We chose this hotel as it was close to the station and easy to find.Quite old fashioned older style hotel they have tried to jazz up with trendy furniture and posters in the public rooms which doesn’t quite work but it had everything one could want including a pool (didn’t use as stormy weather) and a good breakfast. No proper restaurant but a bar menu which was adequate if you didn’t want to go out looking for a restaurant in the town. Convenient for Calvi town, restaurants and sightseeing. Also close to a beach we couldn’t use because of bad weather!Room ok, (a certain style!) comfy bed and pillows and very quiet at night

Nothing really, it served our purpose
