La Signoria & Spa

Very peaceful and relaxing location. You can hear the airplanes at the nearby airport, but there weren't many. Pool was nice. Breakfast was fantastic!

The restaurant was the worst part. It's very overpriced with small portions. It was also booked so as a guest, if you don't have reservations ahead of time there's ko place to eat. You're far from town and taxis are expensive and hard to find

Beautiful location, spacious room even if the decor is a little dated. Great breakfast, excellent dinner at the gourmet restaurant. Very friendly staff.

Could hear the people next door from our room. I did not like that you could smoke at the restaurant (on the terrace) and at the pool.

The property was beautiful and our room was very comfortable. The grounds are very well kept. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was delightful and relaxing. Breakfast was fine.

We did the tasting with wine and that was ok, but overpriced. It was not great! We also ate at the other restaurant and did not like our food. The octopus was extremely chewey and uneditable. We let our waitress know and we were still charged for it. That was a disappointment! So, it was mostly just the food, that we were dissatisfied with!

The location is beautiful and the domaine charming. We were transferred from the airport very nicely for free.

Amenities a bit old. Irregular staff, some nice people but a few unwelcoming, and globally lacking professionalism. The spa was taken over by kids all the time. Besides the gastronomic restaurant, the food was really bad value for money. Not tasteful and very expansive. It’s the main issue to handle. The cocktails are so so. Breakfast ok.

It had character, space and was set in the beautiful countryside very near Calvi. The staff were super helpful. We had a fantastic stay.

The breakfast could have been improved by offering some a la carte items. We thought there was a shuttle to the nearby beaches, but this wasn’t offered. The prices at the restaurants, eapecially at lunch were too high.

we stayed in the treehouse. This was very tastefully decorated with a beautiful balcony and equally beautiful view. the entire resort is spacious and surrounded by a lot of greenery / a large garden.

The service at the Michelin star restaurant below standard. Others in the region are much better (eg Case di Ma). Poor communication. Ignored email providing feedback. All the rest really nice.

The excellent service levels were immediately apparent on arrival where two reception staff appeared as if from nowhere to take our bags from us. Unfortunately we don’t know there names, but that’s immaterial as no member of the team here could be singled out for praise, the whole team from reception, housekeeping, restaurant and maintenance ensured we had an absolutely wonderful stay. We soon realised that training and customer service was very high on the agenda here. It didn’t matter how busy staff were, they always made us feel that we were the only guests.Check in was fast, a refreshing cool flannel, spray and drink was appreciated. We were taken to our room via a useful and well presented tour of the hotel amenities, instantly helping us to find our bearings.We were treated to an upgraded room, room 14, that had views over the beautifully tended gardens to the mountains beyond. Again, everything was explained to us and we settled in.A giant welcome cookie greeted us, a gift from the kitchen. A very thoughtful touch.The room had everything we needed, with an absolutely huge bed, excellent shower and bath and balcony overlooking the gardens that were filled with constant bird song, absolutely beautiful. Robes, slippers and even umbrellas were provided.The outdoor pool had lots of comfortable loungers and ample shade. The indoor jacuzzi was huge and very effective.Breakfast here was a special treat, taken on the terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. There were enough options to please even the most jaded palate, ample fresh fruit and many choices. A special memory for us was the honeycomb, absolutely lovely honey.We had dinner here once and again couldn’t find fault with the menu or service. The cheeseboard was especially good.We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay and have no hesitation in recommending La Signoria and the team. Even on departure we were given a gift of biscuits to enjoy on our trip.

Amazing grounds, great facilities and food. Very helpful staff, elegantly managed our room change request.

I wouldn’t. Come back 6 years in a row if I didn’t love this hotel - honestly it doesn’t get much better than this. Read my earlier reviews for particulars

Personally I prefer that it’t not ‘fussy luxury’ but some might prefer a more lavish look.
