ibis Martigues

The place is very nice and clean, close to the canal and nice restaurants. The breakfast was really good and staff were very friendly. I would recommend IBIS Martigues as a really nice and affordable hotel.

The beds were horrible. The mattress keeps moving away We were disappointed that no iron was available which is a necessity

A great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, very good staff, and delicious breakfast. Easy walking distance to the three sections of the town.

A good IBIS that generally meets all the standards of the chain, conveniently located near the city center and many restaurants, compact but convenient rooms, comfortable beds, free parking.

In pursuit of savings they went too far. In addition to the air conditioning turned off (or limited) during our previous stay in the summer - new "innovations" - only one towel per person - no separate towel for the face / body, the lack of a toilet brush is generally beyond reasonable: when 2 people live in a room, this is extremely inconvenient and unpleasant! Therefore, the maximum rating is 7 ... and I have serious doubts whether to stay at this hotel again.

Standard IBIS which fully met chain standards. The room is small but well-arranged, the bed is comfortable, and breakfast is tasty. Always use this hotel for a 1-2 night stay in Martigues. Big free parking behind the fence is a big plus. Many good restaurants nearby and pizza restaurant in the same building is quite good as well.

This time I stayed in December and the room temperature was perfect - warm enough, but not too hot. But my previous stay in August was terrible because the air-con was not effective at all (it seems cooling power was intentionally limited).

The lady on check in was fantastic. Very welcoming and helpful as was the evening receptionist.

The air conditioning simply did not work despite claims from management that IT had fixed it. What does IT have to do with air con!! I moved to a different room but no real difference. I dislike it intensly when a story is just concocted to get around the fact that the air con is either being restricted deliberately or is so old it just acts like a limp fan. Towels were threadbare. Very basic hotel.

Warm and friendly staff. Convenient location to the town. Comfortable room. It’s okay if you don’t speak French. Love this hotel! Strongly recommend

The breakfast staff should be told to maintain the food for their guests who pay their wages and not stand around talking. Twice I had to ask for plates.

The staff were phenomenal! Breakfast buffet was very good.

The air conditioning did not work. It was late when we discovered it, so tried to cool off the room with the open window, but it was too noisy. The next morning when we told the staff, we were advised that it was “winter” so the AC is not yet turned on. It’s 11 May - that’s winter? Perhaps a large hotel chain like Ibis should consider going against the French norms and allow AC in their hotels when the temperature tells you it’s needed, instead of the French calendar.

Well located, welcoming and very clean.

Standard IBIS with a good location near the old city and convenient access. There is free private parking in the backyard. Quiet, clean, warm and cozy. An excellent option for a stay for a couple of days.

Location is very good being near the port and the island.

One evening of our stay the bar had no red wine, in France!!!
