Hotel Le 5

The room was as described. Simple and basic which was fine. I didn't expect a palace.

It stank of cigarettes as soon as you walked into the building. I was woken up by the smell of cigarettes in the middle of the night which was a big No No for me. I won't be going there again for this very reason. What a shame.

Staff was very kind, grat price performance, in the centre of the lovely town martigues, private parking, we had a great experience, maybe the only thing missing was a fridge in the room, but the staff put our things in the fridge and lend us some wine glasses and corkscrew. Looking forwared to return as we fell in love with martigues and provence

Advertised as double bed, but in fact two beds put together. One of the beds had broken slats causing an unpleasant sleep. On that same bed the mattress was old and worn out, and I also got bitten by bed bugs.

Great location, staff was very nice and tried his best to help. Hotel was very close to the beach, restaurants, supermarket, historic sites.

It was a bit run down, the room smells of smoke and needs a paint to make it more inviting. The hair-dryer is very old fashioned and did not work. It was a bit loud. Not very sound proof walls.

The staff are always very friendly and helpful, doing their best to respond to your needs. The location is very good as you can walk out the entrance and within 200 metres find a Colombian cofee house, a well stocked supermarket and a great beach with cafe.

Not all the lights worked in the bedroom and, although it was a double bed, the sheet was more like a single one.

The hotel is in a perfect location and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was comfortable until evening fell. Unfortunately they neglected to tell us there would be road work right in front of the building ALL night long!!!

First of all, the staff was amazing, so helpful and genuinely nice people. The location couldn't be more perfect! The rooms were very comfortable and clean!

Only that the room my dad stayed in was a bit tight for him since he is an older man with not such good vision. But it would have been fine for someone younger who didn't have so many disabilities but even that was a very clean and comfortable room!

The breakfast was good just not very mini choices but what was there was excellent! The location could not have been any better!

My father's room was extremely small and had strange steps up and configuration. He ended up falling and broke his rib which was at the very beginning of our entire vacation so it definitely impacted our entire trip to France! This is the only reason why I gave any bad scores!

I stayed here on my final night during a visit to Marseille. The hotel was easy to find and at check-in the guy was very friendly and helpful. The room was pretty sizeable with good wifi and air-con. The location in very central in Martigues and there is a supermarket almost next door. Breakfast was fine. I enjoyed my stay and it was good value.

Hotel Le 5 is a cozy place in the center of Martigues, just few minutes of walking to the main restaurants and to the “beach” (where to find three nice kiosks). The superior room was nice and comfy (weird/traditional bathroom divided in two parts). The plus of the hotel is the internal parking. Suggested
