Pros +
- Very good location. Everything clean and well organised
- Great location, nice room for 3 persons and the breakfast was fine.
- The location was good. Walking distance to the Plaza de la Reina and transport links. Staff were friendly and breakfast was adequate, basic continental.
Cons -
- The breakfast was not that exciting
- The room we were allocated smelt of stale cigarette smoke and blocked drains, this became apparent when the following morning the bathroom flooded into the main bedroom, covering the floor and everything on it, all because the water didn’t run down the drain as it should!

Beautiful building and rooms
Mattress was hard
Location was great, staff friendly and helpful
Funny smell in room, heater did not work well, no heater in bathroom, breakfast service not consistent (had to ask for butter, tomato, honey etc, first few days it was offered by different staff member)
The hotel is in an excellent location, walking distance to main attractions. The hotel is on a quiet street. The hotel is charming with its historic architecture and decor,
The walls are paper thin. We heard conversations from the room next door and they weren't being that loud. And there's a fine line between historic and outdated. Unfortunately, the hotel is a bit out of date. They still use keys with the room number on them (a safety issue), and one of the keys was broken. The bathroom definitely needed some TLC as the grout was dingy and even moldy in places. There were holes in the drapes and everything just had a worn look. The bed was too hard for me as a side sleeper. But the biggest issue was the noise. Again, the paper thin walls were just too much. While charming, I wouldn't stay here again.
Excellent location, friendly staff, interesting design
Poor breakfast and slow internet or no internet sometimes
Location was nice, it’s right in the city center.
The smell of the bathroom was so bad we had to close the door to be able to sleep. The toilet wasn’t clean (they didn’t change the trash can and the bidet looked dirty). The hair dryer was so dusty and old I couldn’t use it.
Great location. Close to the historic center and the Turia Gardens. Friendly hotel staff. Nice atmosphere. Very good breakfast. The hotel is clean, cleaned daily. If I'm in Valencia again, I'd gladly return.
Very nicely renovated, decorated and clean room, breakfast of good quality, central situation in the old city
À little walk to the next metro station
Location was excellent. Room was large, extremely comfy beds, excellent shower
Small suggestions some milk for the kettle and selection of teabags
The venue is close to Almeda station (5 metro lines and 12 mn away from hotel). That meant easy connection/ travel made easier to many places. Staff was ver nice and helpful. Also hotel is round the corner to historic Valencia!
not a TV person but sometimes I like my info news or movie to help me sleep Connection needs to be looked into and make it more stable.
The front desk staff are great! The hotel restaurant is open until midnight and is vegetarian, but they still offer nice pasta and wine options. The rooms are fine overall nothing surprising.
My experience at Ad Hoc was genuinely wonderful. The hotel has a unique charm, beautiful architecture, peaceful surroundings, and rooms that are spotless, comfortable. Everything feels thoughtfully cared for, from the warm welcome at the front desk to the relaxed atmosphere throughout the building. The location is also excellent, allowing easy access to the city’s highlights without the noise and crowds. The staff were attentive and friendly, and overall the stay exceeded my expectations. I truly felt relaxed and well taken care of.
There was, however, one moment that caught me completely off guard. During check-in, they insisted on verifying that the guest staying was the same person whose name was on the payment card, and they even asked to physically see the card. I’ve used booking platforms many times, including booking rooms for friends and I’ve never encountered this requirement before. It felt strange and a bit intrusive, especially because I couldn’t understand the logic behind it. I even wondered what would happen if the names didn’t match, would they refuse the stay and leave someone without a room despite the booking being fully paid? The whole process felt unnecessarily strict and definitely touched on my privacy more than expected.
The property had Spanish charm and personality.
The amenities are worn and uncomfortable. I would have appreciated a coffee machine in the room and somewhere to sit that is more comfortable that the chair and bench we had. There aren’t even any public spaces to lounge in.
- Great location in old part of the city- Cosy room- Very clean- Friendly, helpful staff with good recommendations- Very comfortable bed- Quiet location
A nice hotel in a quiet part of the old town. Facilities a little dated/ tired in places but overall very comfy. Great shower!Friendly staff - especially the woman running breakfast. Was easy to walk to the old town annd central market and we also walked ~40min to get to Roig Arena. Bus stop with several options 2min walk from hotel.
Not a lot! Comfy stay.
Good central location, kind staff
Dark and small bathroom
Great location. Both guys on reception were lovely, very helpful. We could book trip tickets and taxis. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Perfect breakfast fruit yogurt pastries. Bacon eggs meats cheese bread juice all good quality. Lady always pleasant helpful and efficient . Good shower and comfy bed
The bathroom smell was not good . But we did find this in other bars and on the streets too. The bathroom was lovely and clean.
It was a great location near to the historic part of Valencia, 6 min walk from Catredral , very near to Asturian Resturant , shops and plaza con fuentes. Also , near to other tourist attractions by autobus , such as Les Artes , Ciencas Museo y Oceanographica.
