quiet location with balcony and great views . NO elevator but staff very helpful in carrying suitcases up one flight of stairs . Nice restaurant next door.

No air conditioning, but it was not needed at this time of year . Continental breakfast -very limited .

The balcony room was fabulous, clean, comfortable and full of little surprises. We loved it so much we are planning to go back for a longer stay. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the staff were excellent.

We loved everything about our stay and could fault nothing. The room was very large with direct access to a large balcony. The decor was lovely, traditionally French and very tasteful. The bed was electrically adjustable and I had the best sleep ever! The bathroom was traditional but had everything you could want. A powerful shower, plenty of hot water, fabulous towels, nice toiletries, a heated towel rail, a hairdryer. First class! the complimentary cognac to go with the delicious coffee was such a nice gesture. Breakfast was included and well worth having, a great start to the day. Excellent!

The entrance to the building had broken tiles/lino and wasn't very welcoming at all .The bar closed at 8-00pm Disappointed in the breakfast choice of only 1croissant and a chocolate one which was not my choice ,so given a portion of hard baguette and jam, the fresh orange juice tasted odd.Tea and coffee ok

Unique location on a beautiful square with a balcony overlooking the Donjon . Large comfortable room. Very welcoming pleasant staff.

Bar staff was friendly.

Communication was kinda tricky. The owner wasn’t flexible in the time to receive us at all. We came from a long trip and asked weeks before to let us arrive around 20h instead of before 20h.The breakfast was the worst. One croissant and a coffee: that is it. Subpar.

Characterful room, quirky and charming. Good facilities. Roomy balcony with plenty of seating (although part of bar/restaurant so at other times may be busy). Lovely aspect overlooking historical part of town. Plenty of free car parking close to room. Good welcome from bar staff who were relaxed and friendly.

Restaurant did not provide food for the evening which was a bit disappointing but there were other options in the town.

Wow the place was in a fantastic location a really friendly welcome and room was full of character with nice restaurant just next doorSuperb value will definitely return

Entrance was a little shabby but room more than made up for it

This was our second stay in this delightful room. The room is we'll-equipped with both a kettle and a coffee maker. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening, sipping our complimentary cognac and looking out at the historic town centre.

The shower room still lacks privacy and this could easily be remedied by fitting roller blinds to the windows

This charming apartment is right in the middle of the historic centre of Pons. We enjoyed the meal from the restaurant served on our shared terrace and then we watched the moon come out sipping the cognac which had been provided in the room as a welcome drink

Although we liked the quirky decor of the room, the ensuite shower room would have been enhanced by blinds

A lovely traditional room which has been renovated beautifully but the character of the building still keot. Spacious room with a beautiful view. The staff were so friendly. Highly recommend.

Large, clean and comfortable room, although slightly quirkily arranged, in a typically French Renaissance building. Access to a huge balcony extending the whole width of the hotel (hence the hotel's name). Lovely views across the Place de la Republique to the castle and castle park. Tea/coffee making equipment provided together with food for an introductory snack. Easy, free public car parking close to the hotel. On site bar/restaurant.

Dirty and dingy landing on opening door from street giving a disappointing first impression. Long spiral iron staircase to first floor (but with adequate bannisters).

Breakfast was excellent. We had our breakfast in the restaurant underneath the apartment. Breakfast was between 7.00 and 10.00. Secure parking in the car park in the square.

Everything was satisfactory.

location was excellent overlooking the main square. Free parking only 30m away. Staff were excellent and gave us a free drink when we arrived.

Quirky styling but at the expense of practicality..no privacy in the bathroom.

Loud music directly below the room until the early hours meant very little sleep. Woken by workmen above the next morning. Disappointing.

The location was excellent, the staff friendly and the food was good

They had a party to celebrate the anniversary of the bistro - this was extremely noisy until 0200. There was loud music, people singing and loud conversations. We were directly above one end of the bistro. At 0030, we complained. They apologised and turned the music down for about half an hour, it then got very noisy again.We could not get to sleep until after 0230 which was not acceptable, considering that we had driven 8 hours the previous day and were driving on to St Malo after about 5 hours rest. We had paid for a night's sleep and we did not get a night's sleep.They were very apologetic the next day, but that did not help the fact that we hadn't slept.We understand that this party was a one off...but they should not have accepted our booking or they should have found us alternate accommodation. They did not forewarn us of the impending celebrations before we went to bed.

Great location and lovely room. Week appointed and the sunlight flooded into the bedroom.

As it was a Sunday the restaurant was closed which was a shame.
