    Pros +

    • Close to the sea, clean, friendly & helpful staff, comfortable bed, big bathroom
    • The room was very comfortable and we really loved the location.Could have done with a bit more storage space for clothes but we managed. The view over the beach was amazing.Quality of the breakfast was very good.Overall a fantastic week spent at the hotel. Very convenient for the beach and the surrounding area.
    • We loved the location close to the beach, the relaxing sound of the waves and the view from the balcony. The bed was comfortable, with nice quality bedding. We had a nice meal in the restaurant and it was a treat to have breakfast in our room overlooking the sea. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We parked at the Paul Doumier parking and it was a 5/6 minute walk to the hotel. We had a lovely time and have booked for next year. Air con and WiFi worked well. Breakfast was nice.

    Cons -

    • Room is small, not enough of lights. Dark! No hotel parking
    • The room needs a bit of a refurb. The glass on the closet door was broken and the woodwork chipped and cracked. It as very sunny on the balcony so a sun umbrella would be helpful. Tiny towels! No hooks anywhere for hanging bathrobes, towels or coats. Carpets are a bit dated and shabby but we understand that in a hotel so close to a sandy beach they get a lot of wear and tear.
    • The beach was super clean and fun to play on. The tide goes out at around 13.00 and comes back around 20.00. The water is luke warm, but as the tide is out most of the day, it means you have to make the most of it when it's in.

Chatelaillon-Plage is a wonderful town. The market is gorgeous and so french. It is a destination that french people enjoy going to go o holiday. You won't find many english people which is wonderful and a great opportunity to practice your french. There are wonderful restaurants throughout the town, especially if you come off the de la Mer strip and go to the streets behind the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is worthy of its Mitchelin rating. The menu offers a 3 course meal for 39 euros per person, which was delicious. This is definitely a destination we will be looking to return to.

Everything was provided for in the room, clean and comfortable

Although I had asked specifically for secure storage for our bikes, there was none available other than an external courtyard, which was not ideal as the weather was so bad and there was no protection from the rain. The staff were not particularly welcoming and breakfast very expensive at 17.5 euroI would not return here

Very good service, good restaurant and nice room. Simple, with nice upgrades in form of modern design furniture, all nicely done with a good feeling.

    Very good

We ordered 2 rooms. My wife and I lived in one, and our daughter lived in the other. In both rooms our iPhone chargers were stolen. I'm guessing it was the cleaning lady. The hotel compensated us for the cost of the stolen appliances with free breakfasts. Thanks to the administration. But an unpleasant aftertaste remained.

    The lift!

Changed room twice as not what expected. Ended up in disabled room, but good view. Reported toilet seat not fitted properly as very loose, nothing done, black mold in grout around shower area reported, nothing done.Room was never made up due the cleaning being done so late and we needed accessDis.

Quite a comfortable room except that the bathroom mirror clock was ‘haywire’ !Two members of staff went way beyond what was expected and upgraded us to a higher menu level (at no extra cost) - which was much appreciated

We only stayed for 2 days but for longer stays the menu choices might be a little limited.

Beachfront location with nice (seafood) restaurants and bars around.

The hotel offers no parking and no suggestions were made on how to find a spot.

    8FranzPosted on: 7-11-2023

Great location. Room overlooking the beach and Atlantic.

Restaurant was not of the level we expected.Food was bland and way overpriced,

Great location and wonderful view from our sea facing room.

Parking anywhere close to the hotel is very difficult and requires walking with your bags for 350m

    10MartinPosted on: 6-10-2023

The location is superb. In less than 1 .minute you can be on the beach ⛱️ from the bedroom. Enormous selection of local restaurants with superb food and wine.

    8CrawfordPosted on: 6-5-2023

The marvellous views of the ocean.

a few things need to be updated the shower cubicle glass needs either renewed or a good deep clean around the bottom of the doors and the toilet seats could be easily replaced, they were clean but stained.

Location / view / staff and breakfast are super good

    4JanePosted on: 11-4-2022

    Breakfast was excellent

Air conditioning was set for a minimum of 21 degrees. So far too hot . Window opened on to street with a street lamp directly opposite do an uncomfortable night . Bathroom was one of the smallest I have experienced in a hotel charging this rate .

    10HilaryPosted on: 10-24-2022

Location is exceptional right on the seafront but was still able to be quiet and tranquil

    7SheilaPosted on: 9-5-2022

The location on the beach is superb. The room was better than OK. And a super shower. No view. The Terrace was closed on second September.

Closed terrace, limited menu, a bit expensive.

    8RogerPosted on: 8-19-2022

    Location and food was exceptional.

Rooms are small and not enough room if you intended to stay for more than two days. Service at dinner on our second day was poor and it took over an hour to get served. Not quite like the old days before the hotel was extended.
